This ambitious project, spanning 30 acres in Sector-13 of Nava Raipur, will integrate the latest technological advancements, making Chhattisgarh a major hub for science and technology in India.

A high-level meeting chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma was held today to strategize the swift and time-bound execution of the project. Senior officials, including Additional Chief Secretary (Science & Technology Department) Smt. Renu G. Pillay, Director General of Chhattisgarh Regional Science Center Dr. S. Karmakar, and top scientists and experts, were present to discuss the roadmap for establishing India’s next-generation Science City.

Jashpur: Under the three-tier Panchayat elections, in the second phase today, voting was conducted in 403 polling stations of district Panchayat area Kunkuri, Duldula, Jashpur and Manora. All necessary arrangements for voting were made by the administration.From wheel chairs to first aid arrangements for the disabled, volunteers, shady resting places and drinking water were made available for the convenience of elderly and disabled voters.129 polling stations have been set up for voting in Kunkuri. The enthusiasm of the voters can be understood from the fact that people started reaching the polling station even before the time of opening of the polling station.

Voting was conducted in 403 polling stations of district Panchayat area Kunkuri, Duldula, Jashpur and Manora. The administration has made all necessary arrangements for the elections.Arrangements for first aid including wheel chairs for the disabled, volunteers, shady resting places and drinking water have been made for the convenience of the voters. Voters are voting with full enthusiasm and hope in this festival of democracy. 72 polling stations have been set up for voting in Duldula.Voters were standing in queues even before the polling stations opened with full enthusiasm, understanding the importance of their voting. He knows how important his vote is, development of his area is possible only with his vote.

With over 5,000 participants already registered, this marathon is more than just a race—it stands as a symbol of hope, unity, and the transformative power of sports to inspire change.

Abujhmad, known for its stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage, has long been overshadowed by the fear and instability caused by Naxal activities. This marathon seeks to reshape that narrative by offering a platform where people of all backgrounds and skill levels can come together in the spirit of unity, healthy competition, and mutual understanding.

The event will feature multiple race categories, including a Half Marathon (21 km), 10 km, and 5 km, ensuring inclusivity for athletes, first-time runners, and local participants alike. Leading up to the main event, the organizing committee has already conducted successful promotional marathons, setting the stage for an electrifying final race.

On January 5, a 5-kilometer promo marathon was held, where Tiju Pujari, Laxman Poyam, and Birsingh Salam emerged as the winners in the men’s category, while Somrai Gota, Reena Uike, and Bhumika Dewangan claimed top positions in the women’s category.

 Following this, on January 19, a 10-kilometer mini marathon took place in Narayanpur, witnessing participation from over 800 runners. In the men’s category, Purkeshwar Lal Deshmukh, Rassu Kores, and Budhram Kumeti secured top ranks, while in the women’s category, Muskan Kushwaha, Bhumika Devangan, and Sombai Gota emerged as winners.

Raipur :  Union Health Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, in his statement in Parliament, highlighted that India has witnessed a decline in maternal mortality rate, infant mortality rate, and under-five mortality rate at more than twice the global rate. He attributed this success to the effective implementation of various healthcare programs under the Ministry of Health.

Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that under the double-engine government, in the last 13 months, 305 Naxals have been eliminated, 1,177 arrested, and 985 have surrendered. These figures not only reflect the government’s commitment and strategic efficiency but also demonstrate that Chhattisgarh is rapidly moving towards peace and development, free from Naxal violence.

A Comprehensive Approach to Resolving the Naxal Issue

Chief Minister Sai emphasized that the Naxal issue is not just a security challenge but also a socio-economic and developmental challenge. His government has adopted a holistic approach to address the problem. Special rehabilitation programs have been designed for surrendered Naxals, offering them employment opportunities, financial assistance, and reintegration into mainstream society. Chief Minister Shri Sai noted that the arrest of 1,177 Naxals is a result of the government’s strong security policy. The Central and State government have equipped security forces with advanced weapons, modern training, and better coordination, ensuring that Naxal operations are dismantled at their roots. Strict legal actions are being taken against arrested Naxals to strengthen law and order in the state.

From Surrender to Social Reintegration: The Government’s Vision

Chief Minister Sai reiterated that his government's priority is not just to encourage Naxals to surrender but also to ensure that they reintegrate into society with dignity. Special rehabilitation schemes have been developed to provide employment and vocational training to surrendered Naxals. During the meeting, the Chief Minister highlighted the state’s rich cultural heritage, abundant mineral reserves, vast forest wealth, and tourism potential, while also discussing opportunities for economic investment. He emphasized that Chhattisgarh is rapidly progressing on the path of economic growth, offering a favorable environment for industrial development. He invited investors from Poland and other European nations to explore investment opportunities in the state.

The Polish delegation expressed great admiration for Chhattisgarh’s natural beauty and cultural diversity.

Strengthening Bilateral Ties Between India and Poland

Chairman of Poland’s Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs, Mr. Pawel Kowal, expressed his delight at visiting Chhattisgarh. He mentioned that their visit to Purkhauti Muktangan provided a glimpse into the vibrant culture of the state.

Referring to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s visit to Poland last year, he stated, “It was after nearly 45 years that an Indian Prime Minister visited Poland. This visit significantly strengthened India-Poland relations. As part of this growing relationship, we are now visiting various Indian states to explore cooperation opportunities. Chhattisgarh has immense potential for collaboration, making this visit particularly important for us.”

He also conveyed his gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to the delegation in Chhattisgarh.

Chhattisgarh - A Hub for Industrial Investment

During the discussions, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized that Chhattisgarh has made remarkable progress in its 25-year journey since its formation. As India’s ninth-largest state, it plays a crucial role in the country’s economic development, particularly in sectors like mining, forestry, energy, and tourism.

Secretary of the Industries Department, Shri Rajat Kumar, provided an overview of the state’s new industrial policy, highlighting various incentives and infrastructural support available for investors. A brief PowerPoint presentation was also showcased, covering Chhattisgarh’s industrial ecosystem, cultural heritage, and tourism opportunities.

Chhattisgarh - ‘A Gateway to Golden Investment Opportunities’

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai assured the delegation that his government is committed to fostering a business-friendly environment, with a strong focus on Ease of Doing Business. He extended an invitation to European investors, emphasizing the state’s favorable industrial policies and world-class infrastructure.

The meeting was attended by Chief Minister’s Secretaries Shri Mukesh Bansal and Shri P. Dayanand, along with Director of the Culture Department, Shri Vivek Acharya, and other senior officials.

Raipur : The Chhattisgarh Health and Family Welfare Department has taken stringent action against fraudulent claims under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Ayushman Swasthya Yojana. As part of this initiative, an inspection was conducted in 28 hospitals across Raipur, Durg, and Bilaspur. Following a detailed inquiry, the registration of 15 hospitals has been canceled for one year, while 4 hospitals have been suspended for six months, 4 for three months, and 5 hospitals have been issued warning letters.

The National Anti-Fraud Unit (NAFU) of the National Health Authority (NHA) periodically identifies fraudulent claims and issues triggers for investigation. In response to such alerts, the Chhattisgarh government ordered a comprehensive probe, following which the State Nodal Agency identified suspicious hospitals and convened a special meeting of state and district-level officials. A large-scale inspection drive was conducted across Raipur, Durg, and Bilaspur, where teams comprising doctors and administrative officers inspected two hospitals daily for in-depth physical verification.

During the inspection, multiple irregularities were detected, prompting the issuance of show-cause notices to all 28 hospitals. The hospitals were given sufficient time to submit their explanations. However, since their responses were deemed unsatisfactory, strict action has been taken in accordance with the regulations.

Chhattisgarh Government committed to safeguarding Public Health: CM

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has emphasized the importance of this action, stating that the Chhattisgarh government is fully committed to safeguarding public health.

"The primary goal of the Ayushman Scheme and Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Ayushman Swasthya Yojana is to provide accessible and free medical services to every citizen of the state. Any hospital found indulging in fraudulent activities will face strict action. We will not polerate such irregularities," the Chief Minister warned.

Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to transparency in healthcare schemes.

"Hospitals that violate rules will face severe consequences. The Chhattisgarh government is ensuring that the benefits of the Ayushman Scheme reach only eligible beneficiaries. To maintain integrity and prevent fraudulent claims, we will continue conducting such inspections rigorously," he stated.

The Chhattisgarh government has reinforced its commitment to strict surveillance of hospitals participating in the Ayushman Scheme. Authorities have assured that similar inspections will continue in other districts, and any institution found violating regulations will face immediate action.
