A smart reading room will be established under the Smart City Mission

The Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today performed the Bhoomipujan of the “Smart Reading Room” in Motibag under the Smart City Mission. The reading room will be set up for Rs. 6.5 crore and will consist of a two-story building with the ground floor, designed to accommodate 600 students. The Bhoomipujan program was presided over by the Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shivkumar Deheriya. On this occasion, the President of the Chhattisgarh Housing Board Mr. Kuldeep Juneja, Mayor Mr. Ejaz Dhebar, MLA Mr. Satyanarayan Sharma, the President of Chhattisgarh Yoga Committee Mr. Gyanesh Sharma, Nagar Nigam Chairman Mr. Pramod Dubey, and many other public representatives were also present. 

The Raipur Smart City Limited is constructing the Smart Reading Room to provide students the facility to study within the city. The reading room will have a capacity of 600 students and a Wi-Fi and LAN facility as well. Differently-abled students are being provided a space on the ground floor and a toilet facility will be available on all the floors.

Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel attended the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected office bearers of Maa Mavli Mahasabha and World Tribal Day organized at Ravanbhata ground in Bhatapara town of Balodabazar district. During this, he was welcomed with ‘khumri’ by women of the community. On the occasion, Mr. Baghel announced to allocate 2 acres of land for the tribal community in Patpar Bhatapara town and sanctioned Rs. 50 lakh for the ‘Samajik Bhawan’. Along with this, he also announced to rename Government High School Dantregi after Late Shri Santosh Dhruv and Government High School Tonatar after martyr Shri Dhananjay Verma.

During this, Urban Administration and Development Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahariya, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Mineral Development Corporation Girish Dewangan, former Rajya Sabha MP Mrs. Chhaya Verma, Parliamentary Secretary and MLA Ms. Shakuntala Sahu, Scheduled Tribes Commission member Mr.Ganesh Dhurav, Mandi President Mr.Sushil Sharma, District Panchayat Vice President Mrs. Sarita Thakur, District President Mr.Hitendra Thakur, Mr.Vidyabhushan Shukla, Mr.Sunil Maheshwari, Community Head Mr.Banshilal Netam, Collector Mr.Rajat Bansal, Superintendent of Police Mr.Deepak Jha were present.

Chief Minister Mr.Baghel administered the oath to the newly elected office bearers. Addressing the people, he mentioned the work being done in the interest of tribals. He said that our government is working to give recognition to the tribal culture of Chhattisgarh and for this, we have announced a holiday on August 09 to celebrate World Tribal Day. This year, we have provided government jobs to the educated young men and women of special backward tribes. Along with this, preparations are going to recruit 10,000 teachers soon. He further said that various schemes like Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Godhan Nyay Yojana, Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhumiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana are being implemented to strengthen the economic condition of the state’s farmers. Swami Atmanand Excellent English Medium Schools have been opened in the state to provide English medium education to the children and seats in these schools have also been increased. Now we are planning to establish English medium colleges for higher education also. New employment and new sources of income have started in the state through the Godhan scheme. But now, they have not only a good source of income but they are also earning profits by selling cow dung. Vermicompost is being manufactured in Gothan. Godhan Nyay Yojana is being appreciated all over the country. The state government are doing commendable work in reviving the tradition of the village. We have also started to buy cow urine at the rate of Rs. 4 per litre. Everyone's participation is essential for the implementation of the schemes. Diseases can be avoided by using vermicompost for crop production in the fields. At present, the area under cultivation has increased and people's attraction to farming has increased.

*Collector Mr.Rajat Bansal was praised for BADAL Academy*

During the program, Chief Minister Mr.Baghel praised the BADAL Academy started in Bastar under the guidance of Collector Rajat Bansal. Bastar Academy of Dance, Art and Language, started in Jagdalpur, has played an important role in the protection and conservation of the famous folk dance, local dialects, literature and craftsmanship of tribal culture. He also appealed to the people of the Balodabazar district to take a tour there. On this occasion, officials and social workers of the tribal community were present.

With the conclusion of 'Hamar Tiranga' campaign, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has appealed people of Chhattisgarh to respectfully take down the national flag hoisted in their homes, shops, institutions and keep it safely folded until the next occasion for unfurling of tricolor arrives.

Mr. Baghel has said that on the 75th anniversary of independence, Chhattisgarh had observed Independence Week from 11 to 17 August. During this week, the people of the state participated enthusiastically in 'Hamar Tiranga Abhiyan' and showed national solidarity by hoisting the national flag in their homes, shops, institutions. He has congratulated people of the state making this campaign a huge success. As the Hamar Tiranga campaign is now over, Mr. Baghel has appealed everyone to take off the national flag with respect and wrap it up and keep it carefully, so that it can be unfurled again at the appropriate occasion. The flags which got torn due to any reason should be disposed off respectfully.

 

 Damoh, Aug 18 (PTI) Six minor boys drowned in three incidents in Madhya Pradesh's Damoh district, a police official said on Thursday.

On Wednesday, four boys in Narguvan village told their parents that they were going to a school ground to play, but they instead went to a pond.

Three of them entered the pond to take bath, got trapped in the deep waters and drowned, Additional Superintendent of Police Shiv Kumar Singh said.The fourth one rushed back and informed their family members who alerted police.The bodies were fished out on Wednesday night, the official said.The deceased have been identified as Kalp Namdeo (12), Raj Sahu (13) and Kapil Jain (13), the police said.In another incident, two boys - Ankit Raikwar (12) and Raju Raikwar (13) - left their home to go to school but went to a water-filled pit in Kishan Taliaya area for bathing and drowned, Singh said.The pit was deep and they were not aware of itTheir family members located them and rushed them to the district hospital where doctors declared them dead, the official said.The family members later staged a road-blockade claiming they did not get timely assistance from police.Senior police officials pacified them following which they ended the protest, the official said.In Bhat Khamaria village under Jabera police station limits, a boy, identified as Satyam Prajapati (15), ventured into a deep pit filled with rain water and drowned, the official said.Police have registered cases in these incidents, he added.

Under the presiding of the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, at an event in his residential office, an MOU was signed between the Chhattisgarh Government and the Central Power Research Institute Bengaluru for the establishment of a state-level laboratory and training center for the testing of electrical equipment in Naya Raipur. The Secretary of the Department of Energy in Chhattisgarh Mr. Ankit Anand and the Additional Director of CPRI Mr. B.A. Sawale signed the MOU. The Chief Minister congratulated the Department of Energy and the Central Power Research Institute on this occasion. 

The Regional Testing Laboratory set up in Naya Raipur by the Central Power Research Institute will be the grandest testing laboratory in Central India where the routine testing of the transformer, meter testing, oil testing, and other electrical equipment will be done. At present, electrical equipment is sent to Bhopal for testing. The provision of testing in Chhattisgarh will result in saving time and revenue. In this laboratory, electrical companies will be offered a concession of 20 percent on testing. Under the laboratory, a training center will also be opened where the technical ability of the employees of electrical companies and private institutes will be enhanced. For the construction of the laboratory and training center, 10 Acres of land have been allotted in Layer – 2 Tendua Village, Sector 30 in Naya Raipur by the Atal Nagar Naya Raipur Development Authority. The construction of the laboratory will be completed in 36 months for Rs. 20 crores 70 lakh. 

The Regional Testing Laboratory to be established in Naya Raipur will have facilities like High Voltage Laboratory (Impulse Test 400 kV), Routine Test Laboratory for Transformer (up to 10 MVA), Temperature Rise Test Facility for Transformer (up to 10 MVA), Energy Meter Test Laboratory for Smart Meter and Cyber Security Test Laboratory for Substation Equipments and Smart Meter.

Central Power Research Institute is a public enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Government of India. In this institute, consultation services for ensuring the quality of utility, encouraging applied research in the power sector, and improving the reliability in the field of engineering are provided. 

On this occasion, the Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission Mr. Hemant Verma, CEO of CREDA Mr. Alok Katiyar, MD of CSPTCL Mrs. Ujjwala Baghel, MD of CSPDCL Mr. Manoj Khare, and the Joint Director of CPRI Mr. Abhay Khairwar were also present.

 

 Order issued by Finance Department as per instructions of Chief Minister

 As per the instructions of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the Chhattisgarh Government has issued an order regarding 6 per cent hike in the dearness allowance for the government employees of the state. 

The order issued by the Finance Department stated that from the month of May 2022, the employees of the state government are being given dearness allowance at the rate of 22 per cent under the seventh pay scale and 174 per cent under the sixth pay scale. According to the order issued, the government employees of the state will be given dearness allowance at the rate of 28 per cent by increasing the dearness allowance under the seventh pay scale by 6 per cent and at the rate of 189 percent by increasing 15 per cent under the sixth pay scale from August 1, 2022.

It has also been decided by the state government that the increased dearness allowance amount will be paid in cash from August 1, 2022. Dearness allowance will be calculated on the basis of basic pay. This will not include special pay or personal pay. No part of Dearness Allowance shall be deemed to be a part of salary under principal rule 9(21).

He has said that the festival is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna's elder brother Balramji. In Chhattisgarh, this festival is celebrated as ‘Kamarchhath’. On this day, ‘Sagri’ is made in the form of a pond in homes and temples. Women gather and offer prayers to Lord Shiva and ‘Sagri’ by offering pasar rice, Kashi flowers, Mahua leaves, and Lai. On this day, women observe a fast and pray for the good health, long life, and prosperity of their children. The Chief Minister has prayed that the wishes of all the mothers come true, and that their children remain healthy and happy.

 New Delhi: In the wake of a sudden surge of new Covid-19 cases in the national capital, the Delhi government has made wearing of masks in public places mandatory and a fine of Rs 500 will be imposed on violators.

The decision was taken by the DDMA after noticing that people were not adhering to wearing of masks at public places.

The district administration has been directed to implement the decisions which were taken in the DDMA’s meeting held in April.

“The DDMA after examining all the relevant facts related to the issue of penal provisions for not adhering to the Covid protocol of wearing of masks at public places, decided that whereby not wearing of face mask/cover in all public places has been made an offence, a fine of Rs 500 for not wearing of face mask/cover in all public places in Delhi will be imposed,” said a Delhi government notification.

It further said that people travelling together in a private vehicles will be exempt from being fined.In view of the decision, three Enforcement Teams in Revenue District South has been constituted to monitor the enforcement of the mandate.
