Raipur--Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today interacted with the beneficiaries of various public welfare schemes of the Women and Child Development Department in village Badekanera of Kondagaon district and inquired about the positive changes in their lives. While providing benefits to women, children, adolescent girls and self-help groups under various schemes, the Chief Minister said that the state government is giving top priority to the empowerment of women and children, safe motherhood, nutrition and self-reliance. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the real objective of the government's schemes is not just to provide financial assistance, but to bring about lasting positive changes in the lives of the people. He said that the objective of good governance is meaningful only when the benefits of a scheme directly bring about a change in the life of an individual.

    Prime Minister Matru Vandana Yojana beneficiaries Mrs. Manita Markam and Mrs. Khemlata Korram were benefited at the program. The Chief Minister stated that providing timely nutrition, health services, and medical assistance to pregnant women is the government's priority. He said that this scheme is becoming a strong foundation for better health and safe motherhood for mothers and newborns.

'Mahtari Vandan Yojana has become the economic strength of women'
    Mrs. Santoshi Bhoyar, who runs a parlor at home, and Mrs. Sampatti Manikpuri, who is involved in vegetable business, who are beneficiaries of Mahatari Vandan Yojana, told the Chief Minister that the amount received from the scheme is proving helpful in meeting household needs and supporting small businesses. Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that Mahatari Vandan Yojana is an important step towards making women economically empowered. The program also celebrated the Annaprashan ceremony for the children of Anju Korram and Padmini Netam. In this sequence, financial assistance was provided to Ekta Self-Help Group of Badekanera under Chhattisgarh Mahila Kosh. In the program 'Teenagers received hygiene kits, emphasis on health and cleanliness',
hygiene kits were provided to Priya Netam, Mahima, Nandani Patel, Pushpa Nayak and Heena. The Chief Minister said that it is necessary to increase awareness about health, nutrition and cleanliness among adolescent girls, because only healthy adolescent girls become the foundation for building a healthy family and society. In the program, Kansoram Netam and Gandhiram Netam were honored for their active participation in child care and Anganwadi activities.     कार्यक्रम में प्रधानमंत्री मातृ वंदना योजना की हितग्राही श्रीमती मनिता मरकाम और श्रीमती खेमलता कोर्राम को लाभान्वित किया गया। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि गर्भवती महिलाओं को समय पर पोषण, स्वास्थ्य सेवाएं और चिकित्सकीय सहायता उपलब्ध कराना सरकार की प्राथमिकता है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह योजना माताओं और नवजात शिशुओं के बेहतर स्वास्थ्य और सुरक्षित मातृत्व की मजबूत आधारशिला बन रही है।

’महतारी वंदन योजना बनी महिलाओं की आर्थिक ताकत’
    महतारी वंदन योजना से लाभान्वित श्रीमती संतोषी भोयर, जो घर पर पार्लर संचालन करती हैं, तथा श्रीमती संपत्ति मानिकपुरी, जो सब्जी व्यवसाय से जुड़ी हैं, ने मुख्यमंत्री को बताया कि योजना से प्राप्त राशि घरेलू जरूरतों को पूरा करने और छोटे व्यवसाय को सहारा देने में सहायक सिद्ध हो रही है। मुख्यमंत्री श्री साय ने कहा कि महतारी वंदन योजना महिलाओं को आर्थिक रूप से सशक्त बनाने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। इससे महिलाओं में आत्मविश्वास बढ़ा है और वे परिवार की आर्थिक व्यवस्था में सक्रिय भूमिका निभा रही हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि महिलाओं की आर्थिक मजबूती परिवार और समाज दोनों को सशक्त बनाती है।

’अन्नप्राशन संस्कार से बच्चों के स्वस्थ भविष्य की कामना’

कार्यक्रम में अंजू कोर्राम एवं पद्मनी नेताम के बच्चों का अन्नप्राशन संस्कार संपन्न कराया गया। इस अवसर पर माताओं को शिशुओं के समुचित पोषण, टीकाकरण और स्वास्थ्य देखभाल संबंधी जानकारी भी दी गई। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि बच्चों के जीवन के प्रारंभिक वर्षों में पोषण पर विशेष ध्यान देना उनके शारीरिक और मानसिक विकास के लिए अत्यंत आवश्यक है।

’गोद भराई कार्यक्रम से मातृत्व का सम्मान’
    गोद भराई कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत मनीता मरकाम और गुड़िया मरकाम को सम्मानित किया गया। गर्भवती महिलाओं को स्वास्थ्य जांच, संतुलित आहार, सुरक्षित प्रसव और नियमित स्वास्थ्य परीक्षण के संबंध में जानकारी प्रदान की गई। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि स्वस्थ मां ही स्वस्थ समाज की आधारशिला होती है और गर्भवती महिलाओं की देखभाल सरकार की प्राथमिक जिम्मेदारी है।
        
’सुपोषण किट वितरण से कुपोषण के खिलाफ अभियान को मजबूती’
    कार्यक्रम में काव्यांश और रौशनी को सुपोषण किट प्रदान की गई। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि कुपोषण मुक्त छत्तीसगढ़ का निर्माण राज्य सरकार की प्रमुख प्राथमिकताओं में शामिल है। उन्होंने कहा कि सुपोषण किट के माध्यम से बच्चों और माताओं को आवश्यक पोषण उपलब्ध कराया जा रहा है, जिससे स्वस्थ समाज के निर्माण की दिशा में सकारात्मक परिणाम सामने आ रहे हैं।

सक्षम योजना और महिला कोष से आत्मनिर्भरता को नई दिशा’
कार्यक्रम में मनई यादव को सक्षम योजना के अंतर्गत लाभान्वित किया गया। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि यह योजना महिलाओं को कौशल विकास, रोजगार और स्वरोजगार के अवसर प्रदान कर उन्हें आत्मनिर्भर बनाने का माध्यम बन रही है। इसी क्रम में छत्तीसगढ़ महिला कोष के अंतर्गत बड़ेकनेरा की एकता स्व-सहायता समूह को आर्थिक सहायता प्रदान की गई। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि स्व-सहायता समूह ग्रामीण अर्थव्यवस्था की मजबूत इकाई हैं और इनके माध्यम से महिलाओं में उद्यमिता, बचत और आर्थिक स्वावलंबन को बढ़ावा मिल रहा है।

’किशोरियों को मिली हाइजीन किट, स्वास्थ्य और स्वच्छता पर जोर’
कार्यक्रम में प्रिया नेताम, महिमा, नंदनी पटेल, पुष्पा नायक एवं हीना को हाइजीन किट प्रदान की गई। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि किशोरियों में स्वास्थ्य, पोषण और स्वच्छता के प्रति जागरूकता बढ़ाना आवश्यक है, क्योंकि स्वस्थ किशोरी ही स्वस्थ परिवार और समाज के निर्माण की आधारशिला बनती है। कार्यक्रम में कंसोराम नेताम एवं गांधीराम नेताम को बच्चों की देखभाल तथा आंगनबाड़ी गतिविधियों में सक्रिय सहभागिता के लिए सम्मानित किया गया। मुख्यमंत्री श्री साय ने कहा कि बच्चों के सर्वांगीण विकास में माता और पिता दोनों की समान भागीदारी आवश्यक है। उन्होंने कहा कि परिवार की साझा जिम्मेदारी ही बच्चों के बेहतर भविष्य की मजबूत नींव रखती है।

Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today inspected the Atal Digital Suvidha Kendra established in the Gram Panchayat Badekanera of Kondagaon district and observed the functioning of Seva Setu, an innovative model of rural digital governance. The Chief Minister took stock of the facilities available at the centre and directly interacted with the beneficiaries of various public welfare schemes to obtain information regarding the reach, transparency and effectiveness of the schemes. Chief Minister Sai said that the objective of the state government is to ensure that the benefits of government schemes and services are available to the villagers in their villages in an easy, simple and transparent manner. He said that Seva Setu Abhiyan and Atal Digital Suvidha Kendra are important initiatives towards strengthening digital good governance in rural areas, which are relieving the common people from unnecessary visits to government offices.

During her discussion with the Chief Minister, Mrs. Kaushalya Manikpuri, a village beneficiary, stated that she regularly receives funds from the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, which helps meet household needs. She also shared that the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi has facilitated her agricultural needs.
Similarly, Mrs. Sumati Manikpuri, Mrs. Amil Manikpuri, and Mrs. Pachmati Baghel told the Chief Minister that the Mahatari Vandan Yojana has made them more financially independent and supported them in meeting their family needs. Mrs. Venkataramana Jangam, who receives benefits from the old age pension and Mahatari Vandan Yojana, also expressed satisfaction with the regular availability of the schemes. The Chief Minister reassured her that the government is committed to ensuring that the benefits of the schemes reach every poor, farmer, and woman in a timely and transparent manner.

The resolve of digital government at the doorstep of the village is becoming a reality.
The Seva Setu Abhiyan, being run in the Gram Panchayat Badekanera, has emerged as an effective medium for delivering the government's public welfare schemes and digital services to the villagers in a quick, simple and accessible manner. Through this initiative, the villagers are getting the benefit of many government, financial and digital services at one place, due to which the concept of good governance is being seen as a reality at the grassroots level.
Dozens of digital and government services are available under one roof.

Services are being provided at the Atal Digital Suvidha Kendra at a mere rate of Rs 30 for submitting an application and Rs 5 per page for a printout. Through the centre, villagers are getting services like income, caste, domicile certificate, birth and death registration, marriage registration and building construction permit in the village itself. Apart from this, cash withdrawal, fund transfer, pension services, life, general and agricultural insurance, PAN card and passport application, electricity bill payment, travel ticket booking and online registration for various government schemes are also being done through this centre. This has significantly reduced the time, labour and financial expenditure of the villagers.

Digital transactions worth ₹15-20 lakh per month, boosting local employment
Mr. Sanjay Mishra, Seva Setu Manager at the Atal Digital Suvidha Kendra, informed the Chief Minister that digital transactions worth approximately ₹15-20 lakh per month are conducted through the center. He explained that this initiative has not only provided convenience to villagers but has also created employment opportunities locally, strengthening the economic status of youth.

Seva Setu has become a means of saving time, labor and money for the villagers.
The villagers of Badekanera told the Chief Minister that now that the benefits of various government services and schemes are available in the village itself, they do not have to visit distant offices. This is saving time, labor and money and has also strengthened the trust in the government. Raipur-- Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai visited village Bade Kanera of Kondagaon district today under Sushasan Tihar, giving a new impetus to efforts to preserve the precious heritage related to the cultural and knowledge traditions of Chhattisgarh. Here he observed ancient manuscripts written in Oriya language about 150 years old preserved under Jnana Bharatam Abhiyan and appreciated the families involved in their preservation.
    
    Chief Minister Mr. Sai met village resident Mr. Ramuram Yadav and got detailed information about the appearance of eight ancient manuscripts kept with him and their history, use and preservation. He said that such historical heritages are not just bookish heritage, but are the living identity of our civilization, culture and traditional knowledge system. Preserving them is an important means of connecting future generations to their roots.
    
    The Chief Minister praised the families who kept these manuscripts for generations and said that without the participation of the society, the preservation of cultural heritage is not possible. The families who have preserved these heritages for decades are actually the custodians of our knowledge. On this occasion, Mr. Hardu Kashyap of Bade Kanera, Mr. Parameshwar Manikpuri, Mr. Trilochan Manikpuri of Amravati, Mr. Pursoti Ram Maurya and Mr. Chamru Nag of Kopra village also discussed with the Chief Minister. He said that these manuscripts have been preserved in families since the time of his grandfathers and great-grandfathers and are kept very carefully even today.

    The custodians told the Chief Minister that these manuscripts include important texts like Panjiyar, Panji, Purana, Panchang and Chakrakoot Panchang, which have been used in traditional knowledge, religious rituals, social arrangements and astrological calculations. Local cultural traditions, religious laws and specific systems of time calculation are also mentioned in these texts. Chief Minister Mr. Sai also inquired about the process of studying manuscripts, the traditional methods of reading and understanding them and the arrangements for their preservation in the present time. He said that in modern times, collective efforts are needed in the direction of conservation, digitization and systematic documentation of ancient knowledge assets, so that future generations can also stay connected with their cultural heritage and knowledge tradition.

The Chief Minister said that the Jnana Bharatam campaign under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is an important initiative towards the preservation of ancient manuscripts, knowledge traditions and cultural heritage of the country. Raipur. The Chhattisgarh government is distributing quality fertilizers and certified seeds to farmers on time through service cooperatives and the Agriculture Department for the 2026 Kharif crops (paddy, pulses, oilseeds, etc.). This year, the use of alternative fertilizers, such as Nano Urea and Nano DAP, is being specifically promoted alongside traditional fertilizers. Owning two and a half acres of agricultural land, Mr. Pavitra Sarkar stated that he received urea and Nano DAP from the society to prepare for the Kharif season. He stated that using Nano DAP effectively provides essential nutrients to crops, leading to excellent initial growth. Raipur, May 31, 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday said Chhattisgarh received national recognition for both its sporting talent and cultural heritage after Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi highlighted young sprinter Shri Animesh Kujur and the archaeological significance of Malhar during the 134th episode of Mann Ki Baat.

Listening to the programme along with public representatives and distinguished citizens at his residential office in Raipur, Shri Sai said Prime Minister’s mention of Chhattisgarh on a national platform was a matter of pride, inspiration and confidence for the entire state.

Administration strict on irregularities in distribution, ban on 8 centers

Raipur, May 31, 2026/ As directed by the Government of India and the State Government, quality and adequate fertilizer and seed is being ensured for farmers in Chhattisgarh's Korba district for the 2026 Kharif season. Deputy Director of the Agriculture Department, Mr. DPS Kanwar, clarified that the district has adequate fertilizer and seed storage, and farmers will not face any shortages.

Korba Collector Kunal Dudawat has taken a tough stance on any negligence or irregularities found in the storage and distribution of fertilizers. He has issued instructions to take strict legal and punitive action against erring vendors under the Fertilizer Control Order 1985 and the Essential Commodities Act 1955.

Use of blue green algae as biofertilizer

Blue green algae and green manure provide nitrogen nutrients to the plants by fixing atmospheric nitrogen and increase the fertility of the soil by maintaining its physical, chemical and biological quality. Dhaincha seeds are being distributed to the farmers as green manure at the rate of 8 kg per acre and mung seeds at the rate of 4 kg per acre. Also, production of blue green algae as bio-fertilizer is being done in Krishi Vigyan Kendra Lakhanpur, Agriculture College Katghora, Government Garden Nursery Pattadi (Korba) and in the fields of identified farmers.

Taking nano fertilizer is not mandatory, it will be completely optional

Based on the recommendations of scientists, integrated nutrient management is being promoted this time. Emphasis is being placed on the balanced use of organic and green manure along with chemical fertilizers. Based on last year's demand, 80 percent urea and 60 percent DAP are being stocked in cooperative societies. The remaining 20 percent of urea will be supplied through nano urea/alternative fertilizers and the remaining 40 percent of DAP will be supplied through nano DAP/NPK. The administration has clarified that no farmer will be forced to take nano fertilizer; it will be completely voluntary.

Storage of fertilizers and seeds in figures

The current status of fertilizer availability at cooperative societies in Korba district is as follows.
The target for the cooperative sector is 12,700 metric tons. Against the target, 7,132.58 metric tons (56.16 percent) of fertilizer has been stored. Farmers have so far lifted 1,129.94 metric tons of fertilizer, while 6,002.64 metric tons remain in the societies. A total of 11,886 liters of nano liquid fertilizer (6,842 liters of nano urea and 5,044 liters of nano DAP) was stored in Korba district, of which 483.50 liters have been distributed, and 11,402.50 liters are available in stock. In addition, dhaincha seeds (8 kg/acre) and mung bean seeds (4 kg/acre) are also being distributed to interested farmers for green manure.

To ensure farmers receive fair prices and quality fertilizers, teams of fertilizer inspectors are regularly conducting surprise inspections of sales centers. Since April 1, 2026, 115 centers have been inspected, revealing irregularities. Show-cause notices have been issued to 28 sales centers for irregularities. Licenses/sales have been suspended at eight centers. Fifty-eight bags of urea were seized during an illegal operation at one center. According to the Agriculture Department, this inspection campaign will continue on the Collector's instructions to completely curb black marketing and illegal storage. If any irregularities are found in the storage and distribution of fertilizers, strict administrative, legal, and punitive action will be taken against the concerned seller under the provisions of the Fertilizer Control Order 1985 and the Essential Commodities Act 1955.

38 new ponds got approval in the district

To provide a permanent solution to the water crisis, water structures are being expanded extensively in the district. Under the scheme, administrative approval has been granted for the construction of a total of 38 new ponds in Bilaspur district. The construction of all these approved ponds is being rapidly progressed so that a strong water storage system can be developed during the rainy season. The construction of these ponds will improve the groundwater level in the area, provide adequate water for crop irrigation, provide drainage facilities for cattle, and provide relief from the water crisis during summer.

Villagers are getting employment at the local level

The "More Village, More River" campaign is proving to be a boon for villagers, with dual benefits. A large number of local rural workers have been employed in these construction projects. Permanent water resources in the form of ponds are being created in villages. A three-day National Mango Festival is being organized from May 29th to 31st, 2026, under the joint aegis of the Indira Gandhi Agricultural University, Raipur, the Directorate of Horticulture and Field Forestry, Chhattisgarh Government, and the Prakriti Ki Or Society. Governor Ramen Deka will inaugurate the National Mango Festival, held at the Agricultural College campus, tomorrow, May 29th, at 4 p.m. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai will preside over the inaugural ceremony. Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam and Raipur MP Brijmohan Agrawal will be present as special guests. Raipur Rural MLA Motilal Sahu, Dharsiwa MLA Anuj Sharma, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Seed and Agriculture Development Corporation Chandrahas Chandrakar, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Farmers Welfare Council Suresh Chandravanshi, and Indira Gandhi Agricultural University Vice Chancellor Dr. Girish Chandel will be present as special guests. Raipur. Public Works Department Secretary Mr. Mukesh Kumar Bansal today inspected the Kayaghat Bridge and Marine Drive under construction over the Kelo River in Raigarh. He inquired about the progress of both projects from Collector Mr. Mayank Chaturvedi and departmental officials and issued necessary instructions. He urged them to expedite the work with complete quality and complete both ambitious projects within the stipulated timeframe.
