Raipur, June 28, 2026/ On the occasion of National Pulse Polio Campaign, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has appealed to the people of the state, especially the parents and guardians, to administer two drops of polio medicine to each of their children aged between 0 to 5 years.

In his message, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that when it comes to children's futures, even small precautions can make a big difference. Two drops of polio vaccine is not just a medicine, but a pledge to safeguard children's healthy, safe, and bright futures.

The Chief Minister said that the participation of every parent is essential to protect children from a serious disease like polio. He urged all citizens to ensure that no child in their neighborhood is deprived of two drops of polio vaccine.

Describing the programme as a powerful bridge between leadership and the people, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that ‘Man Ki Baat’ program has evolved into an effective platform for public participation, dialogue and collective inspiration.

Shri Sai said that through every episode of ‘Man Ki Baat’, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi highlights inspiring stories of innovation, community participation and exemplary grassroots initiatives from across the country, encouraging citizens to contribute towards nation-building and social transformation. He added that the mention of Chhattisgarh’s innovations and achievements time and again in several episodes of the programme has been a matter of immense pride for the state.

Chief Minister further noted that in this month’s address, the Prime Minister appealed to citizens to celebrate the forthcoming Ganesh Utsav in an environmentally responsible manner by installing idols of Lord Ganesha made from natural clay. He also underlined the significance of social security while elaborating on schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana. Raipur, June 28, 2026/ Chhattisgarh has achieved a historic achievement, securing first place nationwide in the special campaign conducted from June 15 to July 15 for the registration of pregnant and lactating mothers under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana. The state achieved remarkable success by completing 72 percent of the target set in just nine days of the campaign.

The state has not only achieved the highest level in the country in beneficiary registration, but has also surpassed all other states in resolving pre-registered beneficiary complaints. This achievement is the result of the coordinated and dedicated efforts of the Women and Child Development Department, Anganwadi workers, supervisors, field staff, and all relevant stakeholders.

Under the special campaign, Janjgir-Champa district has achieved an outstanding performance, securing first place in the entire state with 96 percent target achievement. This achievement reflects the district's sensitivity, proactiveness, and effective approach to maternal and child welfare.

The Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) is an important maternal welfare scheme of the Government of India, which aims to provide financial support to pregnant and lactating women for nutrition, health care, and safe motherhood. Under the scheme, eligible women are provided a financial assistance of ₹5,000 on the birth of their first live child, while an incentive of ₹6,000 is given on the birth of a girl child as their second child. Textile park being developed on 81 acres, all necessary infrastructure being prepared for investors

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the state government is moving rapidly towards developing Naya Raipur as the country's leading textile and garment manufacturing center. Chief Minister Shri Sai has said that the textile park in Naya Raipur will become a strong base for providing large-scale employment opportunities at the local level for the youth and women of the state. He said that the state government is working with full commitment to provide world-class infrastructure and all necessary facilities to the investors in the textile park.

Thanks to the sincere efforts of Chief Minister Shri Sai, the first unit is set to be established in the textile park in Naya Raipur. This unit, set up with an investment of ₹235 crore, will provide employment opportunities to over 4,600 people. On June 25th, Commerce and Industry Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Devangan and Housing and Environment Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the textile park's first garment manufacturing unit. Swift Textiles Private Limited of Tamil Nadu is establishing its manufacturing unit here. The company will primarily produce knit garments and fabrics, focusing on children's wear and export to European and American markets.

To realize Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai's vision of establishing a new identity for Chhattisgarh in the textile and garment manufacturing sector, both nationally and internationally, and of creating significant local employment opportunities, a modern textile park is being developed on an 81-acre site in Nava Raipur. All necessary infrastructure for textile, garment, technical textile, and ancillary industries is being developed here. In addition to Swift Textiles Private Limited, land has also been allotted to Puneet Creations and Drishti Designs LLP. These three entities are expected to create over 11,000 jobs with an investment of approximately ₹445 crore.

The Department of Commerce and Industry is developing facilities such as tarred roads, drainage and sewerage systems, a power sub-station, water supply system, streetlights, administrative buildings, commercial complexes, effluent treatment plants (ETPs), solid waste management areas, and a common facility center for a fully equipped textile park in Nava Raipur. With good connectivity, modern infrastructure, and robust logistics facilities, the Nava Raipur textile park is attracting textile industries as an ideal investment destination.

The state government has given special priority to textiles and readymade garments as thrust sectors in Chhattisgarh's Industrial Development Policy 2024-30. To promote employment generation, a provision has been made to provide employment assistance of Rs 6,000 per month for women employees and Rs 5,000 per month for male employees for five years. Due to the impact of the new industrial policy, the state has received investment proposals worth more than Rs 8 lakh crore in the last 18 months, which is expected to create more than 1.6 lakh employment opportunities.

In addition to textiles and apparel, the state has also attracted significant investments in data centers, IT, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, and electrical and electronics manufacturing. Raipur, Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and the continuous efforts of Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary, development work in the mining-affected areas of Raigarh district is steadily gaining momentum. Various development projects costing more than Rs 26 crore have been approved from the District Mineral Fund (DMF) to expand health, education, drinking water, veterinary, and other infrastructure facilities. These projects will provide improved facilities to thousands of rural families and will give a new direction to the overall development of the region.

The largest approved project is the construction of a 100-bed Senior Citizen Health and Wellness Center in the Vijaypur area of ​​Raigarh city, costing ₹167.3 million (167.3 million) 27,000. This modern center will provide dedicated healthcare services to senior citizens and further strengthen the district's healthcare system.

To strengthen health infrastructure, a total of over ₹95.2 million (95.2 million) has been approved for the construction and upgrading of various health institutions in the Lalungha, Dharamjaigarh, Gharghoda, and Tamnar development blocks. To promote livestock conservation and conservation, approval has also been given for the construction of new veterinary hospital buildings in the district. Funds have also been approved for the construction of a Public Distribution System (PDS) building in Lamidraha in the Raigarh development block, which will provide better ration distribution facilities to villagers.

The district administration has directed all construction agencies to complete the work in a timely and quality manner. Upon completion, these projects will expand health, education, drinking water, veterinary services, and other basic amenities in mining-affected areas, positively improving the lives of thousands of families. Cooperative Week to be celebrated from 29th June to 6th July to mark completion of 5 years of Ministry of Cooperation

Sakti. A young woman was shot dead in broad daylight on Friday in Chhattisgarh's Sakti district. Two masked bike-borne assailants fled the scene after the crime.
