The aim of Suposhan Rath is to rise awareness about the importance of intake of balanced nutrition in food. The state government is observing Poshan Maah- Nutrition month from September 1st to September 30th.

The dedicated vehicle equipped with audio and visual features will travel to various villages of the state to promote the message of nutrition to the people.

On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma, Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade, MP Brijmohan Agrawal, Shri Kiran Dev, MLAs Shri Rajesh Munat, Anuj Sharma, Khuswant Saheb, Women and Child Development Secretary Smt. Shammi Abidi, Director Tulika Prajapati and a large number of public representatives and women were present.

As per the information, the Suposhan Rath will be on move across the of state displaying the message on electronic screen with visuals and audio effect.

The aim of Chhattisgarh government for rolling out a dedicated vehicle is to address serious health challenges including malnutrition and anemia. Health and nutrition related services are being provided to pregnant women, lactating women, children between 0 to 06 years and adolescent girls through more than 52000 Anganwadi centers. Positive behavior change from community, family and individual level is also very important to achieve the goal of nutrition, said health officials.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that Chhattsigrh government is determined to achieve the vision of a healthy and well-nourished Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Poshan Maah is being organized from 01 September to 30 September 2024 for widespread dissemination of messages related to health, nutrition and hygiene to the public, compelling various components of the community to participate in the journey of nutrition as a mass movement. Chief Minister said that during the Poshan Maah this year, focus is being laid on anemia issue, supplementary nutrition, education on balanced nutrition as well as use of technology for quality service delivery and holistic nutrition.

Chief Minister Shri Sai has urged the state's people's representatives, Panchayati Raj Institutions, women's self-help groups, intellectuals, students, public and private sector representatives, and the entire community to actively engage in Poshan Maah with enthusiasm and energy. He encouraged everyone to commit to making Chhattisgarh free of malnutrition and anemia, to adopt proper nutritional practices, and to inspire others to do the same.

The Chief Minister emphasized that through collective efforts, we can build a strong foundation for a healthier Chhattisgarh, enhancing the future and well-being of our state.

Chakradhar Festival 2024 : A total 7 Padma Shri awardees will grace stage of Chakradhar Samaroh 2024

Raipur : The Chakradhar Festiva’s stage is renowned in the world of arts. After an extended pause due to COVID-19, the Chakradhar Samaroh is poised to make a grand return with its original magnificence and splendour. The 10 days mega event will be organised from September 7th to 16th in Raigarh.

Renowned artists will arrive in Raigarh to showcase their talents for the 10 days mega event. This year's event will be special as seven artists honoured with the Padma Shri will grace the Chakradhar Samaroh.

Padma Shri Hema Malini

Indian cinema’s veteran actress Hema Malini is also renowned for her Bharatanatyam dance performances. She is renowned for her significant contributions to promote Indian art and culture. Her proficiency and expertise are exceptional in Bharatanatyam, an ancient classical dance style. The features of her dance are evident in her excellent technique, expression, and stage presence. She has not only presented her art through films but has also popularized classical dance both within India and abroad. Her performances, which beautifully depict Indian mythologies and religious tales, captivate audiences with various dance postures and emotions. Her dedication to dance and art has secured her a significant place in both the cinematic and classical dance worlds. She was honoured with the Padma Shri in the year 2000.

Padma Shri Pandit Ramlal Bareth-

Pandit Ramlal Bareth dedicated his life for developing and establishing the Raigarh Kathak style as a recognized Gharana (school) of Kathak. His tireless efforts made the Raigarh Kathak style renowned as the Raigarh Gharana, which is recognized worldwide as the fourth Kathak gharana. Pandit Ramlal was awarded with the National Academy of Music, Dance, and Drama Award by the President of India, Shankar Dayal Sharma, in 1996. He received the Padma Shri in 2024.

Padma Shri Kumari Devyani- Also known by her stage name Kumari Devyani, Anik Shemoti is an Indian dancer specializing in Bharatanatyam. She has performed at festivals and music halls across India as well as in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, Portugal, Scandinavian countries, Estonia, and South Korea. Devyani is listed as an artist by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). She was honoured with the Padma Shri in 2009.

Padma Shri Bharti Bandhu- Bharti Bandhu is an Indian musician and singer known for her popular Kabir bhajans. Born in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, he has given thousands of performances across the country and abroad. He is an icon in the field of Sufi singing and has been recognized for his significant contributions to music with state honours and the Raja Chakradhar Award. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2013.

Padma Shri Anuj Sharma- Anuj Sharma is a distinguished personality in Chhattisgarhi cinema and arts, known for his talent in direction, acting, and singing. He was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2014 for his services to the arts.

Padma Shri Surendra Dubey- Surendra Dubey is famous nationwide and internationally for his humorous poetry. Professional he is an Ayurvedic doctor. He has promoted the regional dialect and culture of the state on various national and international platforms. He was honoured with the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2010.

Padma Shri Ranjana Gauhar- Ranjana Gauhar is a renowned Odissi dancer, choreographer, and film producer. She has been awarded the Padma Shri and by the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award. She has also authored a book on Odissi dance titled 'Odissi The Dance Divine'. Mrs Ranjana Gauhar was honoured with the Padma Shri by the President of India in 2003 and the National Academy of Music, Dance, and Drama Award in 2007.

Raipur : After the vibrant celebration of ‘Hareli Tihar’, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai's residence is now beautifully adorned with clay-made ‘Nandiya Baila’ and colourful toys to celebrate the ‘Teeja-Pora’ festival. Smt. Kaushalya Sai, the Chief Minister's wife, is preparing traditional Chhattisgarhi dishes such as Thethri-Khurmi for the occasion. Ahead of the ‘Teeja-Pora’ festival, Chief Minister Shri Sai will distribute Rs. 1000 each to 70 lakh women under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana.

Just as ‘Hareli Tihar’, the ‘Teeja-Pora’ festival will be celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Chief Minister's residence in Raipur on September 2, starting at 11 am. The residence has been decorated with artefacts resembling Chhattisgarh's rich traditions and customs. During this celebration, ‘Nandiya-Baila’ will be worshipped, and a special Teeja festival will be held. The Chief Minister has invited sisters, transforming his residence into a maternal home for a day.

Chief Minister Shri sai invited 3000 women, including beneficiaries of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, members of self-help groups, and Mitanins. Exhibitions and stalls will be set up to inform women about various welfare programs and schemes available for their benefit.

The Department of Culture will organise a cultural program to highlight ongoing schemes and initiatives for women's welfare. Additionally, sports events for women will be conducted in collaboration with the Sports Department.

As part of Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2024, participating women will take an oath during the event. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai will also unveil posters related to nutrition and health and will flag off the ‘Suposhan Rath,’ marking its launch across the state.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai was formally invited to the 39th Chakradhar Festival today by Raigarh Collector Shri Kartikeya Goyal and Superintendent of Police Shri Divyang Patel during a courtesy call at his residence in Raipur. The Chief Minister graciously accepted the invitation and extended his best wishes for the success of the event.

On the occasion, Chief Minister said that "Chakradhar Samaroh" is a significant part of Raigarh’s cultural identity. He said that performances by internationally and nationally acclaimed artists further elevate the prestige of Chakradhar Samaroh. Shri Sai, who has previously served as a Member of Parliament representing Raigarh, shared his deep personal connection to the event, saying that he has closely observed the growth of Raigarh district over the years.

He further emphasized that Maharaja Chakradhar has bestowed an invaluable cultural legacy upon Raigarh, which continues to flourish. The popularity of Chakradhar Samaroh is evident from the anticipation and enthusiasm among artists and art enthusiasts regarding the event. Chief Minister Shri Sai also emphasized the importance of prominently featuring local folk artists in the festival.

Collector Shri Kartikeya Goyal provided the Chief Minister with key details about the upcoming event. He informed that this year's ten-day Chakradhar Samaroh will showcase performances by prominent artists, and will also provide a platform for local folk artists to display their talents.

It is noteworthy that the 39th Chakradhar Samaroh will be held from 7th to 16th September 2024 at Ramleela Ground, Raigarh district headquarters. The inaugural ceremony will feature a dance-drama titled 'Radha Rasbihari' performed by Padma Shri Hema Malini, while the concluding ceremony will include a poetry recitation by Dr. Kumar Vishwas. During the festival, cultural evenings will be held daily from 6 PM onwards, featuring performances in various art forms by distinguished artists.

Delegation from Chhattisgarh Pradesh Kanyakubja Brahmin Mahasabha Meets Chief Minister

Raipur : A delegation of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Kanyakubja Brahmin Mahasabha paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai at his residence office. The delegation expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Sai for the state government's efforts towards inclusive development, which have benefitted all the communities in the state. They greeted Chief Minister Shri Sai with a shawl, a coconut, and a memento.

The delegation conveyed that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Sai, the state has witnessed a government of good governance, providing opportunities to progress for every section of society. They acknowledged that the welfare schemes initiated by the government has brought a positive shift for every community in the state. A total prize money of Rs 76 lakh was distributed among 97 awardees for the award years 2021-22 and 2022-23. Besides, Rs 60.33 lakh was transferred to the bank accounts of 502 medal-winning players, totaling Rs 1 crore 36 lakh 33 thousand in disbursements.

For the year 2021-22, awards were presented as follows: 06 players received the Shaheed Rajiv Pandey Award, 06 players received the Shaheed Kaushal Yadav Award, 02 players received the Veer Hanuman Singh Award, 11 players were honored with the Shaheed Pankaj Vikram Samman, 05 players received the Shaheed Vinod Choubey Samman and 11 players were awarded the Chief Minister Trophy.

For the year 2022-23, awards were given as follows: 04 players received the Shaheed Rajiv Pandey Award, 07 players received the Shaheed Kaushal Yadav Award, 01 player received the Veer Hanuman Singh Award, 15 players were honored with the Shaheed Pankaj Vikram Samman, 05 players received the Shaheed Vinod Choubey Samman, and 24 players were awarded the Chief Minister Trophy.

The ceremony took place at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur. Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai visited the under-construction 'Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Adivasi Swatantrata Senani Sangrahalaya' near the Tribal Research and Training Institute in Nava Raipur on August 29. This museum, dedicated to Chhattisgarh's tribal freedom fighters, is being developed on approximately 10 acres of land at an estimated cost of Rs. 45 crore. Tribal Development Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam was also present. During the visit, Shri Sai inspected the statues, artworks, and various models in the museum. He interacted with the sculptors, discussing their techniques, and expressed that the Tribal Museum will become a significant centre highlighting Chhattisgarh's tribal pride. He praised the museum as a unique initiative to preserve the state's rich heritage, focussing on the patriotism, bravery, and sacrifices of Chhattisgarh's tribal freedom fighters.

The Chief Minister directed departmental officials and construction agency representatives to complete the museum work within the stipulated time frame without compromising on quality. He stressed the importance of the museum in educating the younger generation and future generations about their history. Shri Sai also mentioned that the museum would be a focal point for those interested in understanding tribal culture and civilisation. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about all of Chhattisgarh's tribal freedom fighters, including Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh, the state's first freedom fighter.

The Principal Secretary of the Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department, Shri Sonmani Borah, informed that the 'Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Adivasi Swatantrata Senani Sangrahalaya' will feature 15 galleries. These galleries will vividly depict major tribal freedom struggles through live models, including the Halba Rebellion, Surguja Rebellion, Bhopal-Pattnam Rebellion, Paralkot Rebellion, Lingagiri Rebellion, Koi Rebellion, Maria Rebellion, Muria Rebellion, Rani Choris Rebellion, Bhumkal Rebellion, Sonakhan Rebellion, Jhanda Satyagraha, and Jungle Satyagraha. Additionally, the museum will authentically showcase the lifestyle, attire, jewellery, music, instruments, hunting weapons, and daily-use items of Chhattisgarh's tribal communities.

The museum complex will also include a fibre statue of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh, his memorial, the site of his hanging, a small lake, and landscaped gardens. Statues of other brave tribal freedom fighters will be installed throughout the museum. The facility will offer amenities such as a reception area, souvenir shop, food court, multimedia room, restrooms, and parking. A solar energy system will be installed on the roof, and the main entrance will be adorned with intricate tribal artwork. A team of sculptors from Vadodara, Kolkata, Odisha, Hyderabad, Delhi, Jharkhand, and Bihar, under the leadership of curator Shri Prabal Ghosh, are crafting the statues and tribal artefacts for the museum. During his visit, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai also inspected the library and models of significant events in Chhattisgarh's tribal freedom struggle at the Tribal Research and Training Institute. During the library visit, Tribal Development Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam scanned a QR code in the book ‘Adi Naad’, dedicated to Chhattisgarh's tribal folk music culture, which played the sound of the instrument when scanned.

Secretary to the Chief Minister, Shri Rahul Bhagat, Commissioner of Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department, Shri Narendra Kumar Dugga, and Director of Tribal Research and Training Institute, Shri P.S. Elma, were also present.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai is on a mission to foster transparency and good governance within the administration, and to ensure development of even the remotest part of the tribal areas in the state. Expansion of new camps is underway in the interior regions of the Bastar division, while 'Niyad Nellanar' scheme has been launched to specifically serve the interest of particularly vulnerable tribal groups (PVTGs). This initiative, akin to the PM Janman Yojana, is benefiting the residents of villages within a five-kilometer radius of these camps by providing access to 53 beneficiary-oriented schemes across 17 departments and 28 community facilities.

The rapid implementation Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s guarantees can be attributed to this proactive approach. With Shri Modi securing his third term as Prime Minister, the double-engine government is functioning effectively in the state. State government has decided to provide an annual assistance of Rs 10,000 to landless farmers under the Deendayal Upadhyay Krishi Mazdoor Kalyan Yojana.

Moreover, a decision has been made to distribute free food grains to 68 lakh families holding Antyodaya and priority ration cards for the next five years. Fulfilling its promises, the state government purchased paddy from farmers at a rate of Rs 3,100 per quintal and up to 21 quintals per acre. A record procurement of 145 lakh metric tons of paddy has been achieved. Due to the farmer-friendly policies of the state, agriculture has been revitalized, bringing smiles to the faces of the farmers.

Upon taking charge, Chief Minister Shri Sai made it a priority to ensure expedited implementation of PM Shri Modi’s guarantees and within just eight months of his tenure, he has made significant strides in in this direction. Under his leadership, numerous public welfare decisions have been taken within a short span of eight months, aimed at the progress and prosperity of all sections of society. The popularity of the state government is rapidly increasing. The state government is committed to the motto of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas,' working tirelessly for the welfare of the people.

To fulfill yet another guarantee, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai's government has launched Mahtari Vandan Yojana, benefiting nearly 70 lakh women in the state. On the birth anniversary of the late Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, observed as Good Governance Day on 25th December, Rs 3,716 crores was transferred as arrears for two years of paddy bonus to the bank accounts of around 13 lakh farmers in the state.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had declared that those who play with the future of the youth would not be spared. Acting swiftly on this guarantee, the Chief Minister handed over the investigation of the irregularities and malpractices in the 2021 State Civil Services Examination (PSC) during the previous government's tenure to the CBI. The state government has also entrusted the Mahadev Satta app case to the CBI, considering the public interest. Additionally, a decision has been made to conduct a CBI investigation into the Birnampur incident in Bemetara district. The Vishnu Deo Sai government, in line with Modi’s guarantee, has introduced the Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana, a unique and exemplary initiative in India, which allows devotees to visit Ayodhya Dham at the government’s expense. As Chhattisgarh is considered the maternal home of Lord Ram, this scheme holds special significance for the state. Every citizen of Chhattisgarh is eager to visit Ram’s maternal home.

Within hours of taking the oath, Chief Minister Shri Sai decided to provide permanent housing to 18 lakh families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Alongside the provision of housing, Prime Minister Shri Modi launched the Jal Jeevan Mission to ensure access to clean drinking water for all. For its implementation in the state, a budget of Rs 4,500 crore has been allocated. The goal is to provide tap connections to 50 lakh rural households in Chhattisgarh, of which 39 lakh 31 thousand households have already been covered. The state government has also decided to implement the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana along with the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Health Scheme, providing free healthcare services up to Rs 5 lakh to 77 lakh 20 thousand families in Chhattisgarh. Additionally, the remuneration for tendu leaf collectors in the state has been increased from Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,500 per standard bag. This year, Rs 855.80 crore has been disbursed to 13 lakh 5 thousand tendu leaf collectors.

The Department of Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development has increased the number of seats for candidates preparing for the UPSC from 50 to 185 at the youth hostel in New Delhi. Similar to the Nalanda campus in the state capital Raipur, fully equipped libraries will be constructed in 13 other urban bodies of the state. To strengthen healthcare facilities, medical education is being continuously expanded in the state. A decision has been made to establish the Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) at the divisional level, modeled after AIIMS. A new industrial policy for the state will be implemented on 1st November 2024, aimed at generating large-scale employment opportunities for the youth and accelerating the state's economy. The state government is developing Naya Raipur as an IT hub and an innovation hub. Similar to the National Capital Region (NCR), the state government is also planning to develop a State Capital Region. The state government has decided to provide interest-free loans with 50 percent subsidy to young entrepreneurs under the Chhattisgarh Udyam Kranti Yojana, thereby offering more opportunities to the youth.

Honours the legacy of Hockey legend Major Dhyanchand on his birthday

Raipur : Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai extended his best wishes to the people of Chhattisgarh and sports enthusiasts on National Sports Day observed on August 29.

Shri Sai said that this day is celebrated annually in honour of Major Dhyanchand, widely revered as the "wizard of hockey," to commemorate his contributions to the sport.

Recalling the contribution of Major Dhyanchand in the field of hockey , Shri Sai said that Dhyanchand ji displayed his amazing sports talent in hockey and is mostly remembered for his goal-scoring feats. He made India proud by winning three gold medals for the country in the Olympics.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that sports have great significance in life. Sports develop qualities like leadership, dedication, and discipline in one’s personality which help to succeed in every field of life.

The Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh government is making every effort to encourage and advance the sports talent of the state. He said that there are immense possibilities in the field of sports for the youth. In Chhattisgarh, international level sports infrastructure has been created, including the formation of Sports Development Authority, to develop players at national and international level.

Raipur : On the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami- the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna was celebrated with great fervor at the Chief Minister's residence on Monday. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai celebrated Janmashtami with differently abled children at his residence this time. The Chief Minister's residence was filled with the frolic of 25 children from three social welfare institutions dedicated for differently abled children of Raipur.

Amidst festive mood and celebrations, these children were dressed as Radha and Krishna, who accompanied Chief Minister Shri Sai in religious rituals. Shri Sai worshipped Lord Krishna with these children and wished for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the state. He also worshipped the differently abled child Rudra, who was seated in the cradle as Bal Gopal and swung him on a swing. Shri Sai extended his warm greetings and wished prosperity for the people of the state on Krishna Janmashtami.

Post religious ceremony, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai distributed Prasad to all the children. He took the children in his lap, caressed them and engaged in light-hearted conversations like enquiring about their interests and studies. Children from Raipur's Government School for the Visually and Hearing Impaired, Mathpuraina and Mana's Asthmadhit Balgrih and Multi-Disabled Balgrih participated in the Krishna Janmashtami program organized at the Chief Minister's residence.

Chief Minister Shri Sai made their festival special by sharing today's holy day with special children. On this occasion, he said that celebrating the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna with these children and worshipping him is a matter of great pleasure and pride for me.

“Like other children of the state, differently abled-children are also an integral part of our society. We are always committed to their better upbringing, education and making them self-reliant,” said Shri Sai.

Inauguration of Development Projects Worth Rs 204.84 Crore in Nava Raipur

Raipur : Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah inaugurated "People for Peepal" campaign at the new Vidhan Sabha premise in Nava Raipur. On this occasion, he inaugurated various development projects worth Rs 204.84 crore, including a railway station, smart roads, parking facilities, and smart schools, under the Smart City initiative. The event was presided over by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. Dr. Raman Singh, Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Arun Sao and Shri Vijay Sharma, Finance Minister Shri O.P. Plantation of One Lakh Trees

Under "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" initiative, the "People for Peepal" program aims to plant over one lakh large trees of local species in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. Till date, more than 21,000 Peepal trees have been planted. The objective is to ensure that Peepal trees are visible from any location within the city.

In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Shri Krishna says, "Among trees, I am the Peepal." The Peepal tree, known for its ability to provide life-sustaining air 24 hours a day, can live for over 100 years. More than 2,000 people have already joined the "People for Peepal" program through virtual adoption using a mobile app.

Railway Station, Smart Roads, Parking Facilities

A railway station will be available in the center of the city as part of the railway line laid to enhance connectivity between Nava Raipur Atal Nagar and other cities. This station has been constructed at a cost of Rs 75 crore. The Nava Raipur Development Authority is undertaking the construction of four railway stations. Additionally, a smart road spanning approximately 5.3 kilometers and other essential infrastructure have been developed at a cost of Rs 35.25 crore. A parking facility accommodating 100 buses, 148 cars, taxis, and approximately 250 two-wheelers has been developed at a cost of Rs 23.12 crore.

World-Class Smart School

A higher secondary school with world-class smart educational facilities and a large multipurpose auditorium has been constructed in Rakhi village at a cost of Rs 18 crore. This will provide a global standard of education to over 1,200 students. A building has been constructed at a cost of Rs 11 crore to provide quality education to children from economically weaker families, benefiting 950 students. Additionally, primary and secondary schools in 11 villages of Nava Raipur Atal Nagar have been upgraded at a cost of Rs 10.35 crore, to provide a better educational environment to nearly 4,300 students.

Land Conservation and Tree Plantation

Works worth Rs 16 crore have been conducted to facilitate water conservation, revitalization of streams and ponds, and tree plantation near the Mantralaya. Moreover, to develop natural rainwater streams and enhance groundwater levels, necessary works, including the construction of new ponds and tree plantation, have been carried out at a cost of Rs 16.12 crore.

Several among this group of youth visited Capital City Raipur for the First Time

Raipur : Thirty-one youths from five villages adjacent to Palnar Camp in Maoist-affected Bijapur district met Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah today in Nava Raipur. For many of these youths, this was their first journey beyond Bijapur to the capital city, Raipur. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Shri Nityanand Rai, Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Arun Sao and Shri Vijay Sharma, as well as Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, were also present.

Union Home Minister Shri Shah inquired about the well-being of these youths and extended his best wishes for their bright future. During their visit to the capital city, these youths toured several key locations, including Purkhauti Muktangan, Mahanadi Bhavan Mantralaya, Mevan Steel Plant, Magneto Mall, the International Cricket Stadium, and the railway station. The youths arrived in Raipur on the night of 23 August and will return to Bijapur tomorrow after visiting Gangrel Dam.

It is noteworthy that under "Niyad Nellanar" Scheme, all the basic amenities such as roads, electricity, water supply, ration, schools, hospitals, and Anganbadi centers are being provided to the villages located around the Palnar Security Camp. Additionally, the benefits of various Central and State government schemes are being made available to all the eligible beneficiaries. Niyad Nellanar Scheme is being implemented in villages within a five-kilometer radius of the security camp, covering 33 villages in Bijapur district.

Through this initiative, Bijapur district administration has introduced these youths from far flung rural areas to new opportunities in industrial development and employment sectors in Raipur. This exposure has sparked new enthusiasm among them, as they now aspire to engage in employment-oriented activities and build a bright and prosperous future for themselves.

Farmers Receive Rs 6,281 Crore in Short-Term Agricultural Loans

Raipur : Following the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, short-term agricultural loans are being extensively distributed to farmers across the state. Till date, short-term agricultural loans worth nearly Rs 6,281 crore has been distributed to farmers through 2,058 cooperative societies under state cooperative banks. This year, the state government has set a target of distributing Rs 7,300 crore in loans. The loans are being provided to farmers according to their demands, based on the area under cultivation. As of this date last year, Rs 6,193 crore in short-term agricultural loans had been distributed.

It is noteworthy that the state government launched the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme to meet the initial needs of farmers and facilitate agricultural activities. One of the main objectives of this scheme is to protect farmers from falling into the clutches of moneylenders. At present, lakhs of farmers in the state are benefiting from this scheme, which not only provides relief for initial and farming needs but also contributes to a continuous increase in crop production.

Raipur : The Chhattisgarh Government has initiated the extensive use of IT across various sectors to foster e-governance and ensure transparency in government operations. In line with this effort, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has launched three key portals: the e-Office system, the Chief Minister's Office Online Portal, and the 'Swagatam' Portal on August 21. This initiative is designed to enhance both efficiency and transparency within the government.

Under the Chief Minister's guidance, the expansion of IT use in different government sectors aims to maximise transparency and reduce opportunities for corruption. During the launch, Chief Minister Shri Sai digitally approved a file, directing the Chief Secretary to implement the e-office system across all departments, thereby officially rolling out the e-office system.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai emphasised that the introduction of the e-Office system and the Swagatam Portal represents a significant stride by the state government towards achieving its commitment to good governance. He reiterated that the government is actively promoting IT integration across all departments to establish zero tolerance for corruption and ensure transparency in government operations, intending to embed digital governance at every level.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated that today is a historic day for Chhattisgarh as the state government has launched three online systems simultaneously to enhance transparency in government operations and improve public convenience. The introduction of these portals marks a significant milestone in the state's pursuit of good governance. The e-office system is designed to eliminate unnecessary delays in file processing, reduce errors, and enable effective file tracking.

Additionally, the Swagatam Portal has been introduced to streamline the process for visitors seeking appointments with the Chief Minister, Ministers, and officials at the Mahanadi Bhawan. The Chief Minister also inaugurated the CMO Portal, which will provide citizens with information about government schemes, programs, public-friendly decisions, and overall government functioning.

The e-Office system has been initially introduced in the General Administration Department and will be gradually extended to all departments. Through this system, office documents will be digitised, significantly reducing the time previously needed to transfer documents between offices. This digitisation will also eliminate the risk of document tampering, ensuring that files are secure and no longer at risk of being lost or misplaced. With the e-Office system, file processing will be completed within designated time frames, making it easier to monitor the performance of officials. The system will also benefit the public by enabling them to track the status of their applications.

In a similar effort to enhance efficiency, the state government has launched the Swagatam Portal to streamline visitor entry to the Mahanadi Bhawan. This portal will maintain detailed records of visitors, thereby improving the security of the Mahanadi Bhawan premises. Additionally, the CMO Portal was launched today, providing the public with easy access to information about government schemes with a single click. The portal will also feature details about Chhattisgarh's art, culture, history, and other key aspects, along with important information related to various districts across the state.

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai welcomed numerous women and girls to his residence to celebrate Raksha Bandhan on August 19. They tied Rakhi to the Chief Minister Shri Sai. In a historic and heartwarming moment, members of the transgender community were also present in the celebration, tying Rakhi to the Chief Minister and wishing him a happy and prosperous life. This event marked the first time in India that transgenders have visited a Chief Minister's residence to celebrate Raksha Bandhan in such a meaningful way.

Swachhata Didi, Divyang children, and beneficiaries of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana participated and tied Rakhi to Chief Minister Shri Sai, wishing him a joyful and fulfilling life. In return, the Chief Minister presented gifts to all the sisters and girls, reaffirming his commitment to their safety, respect, and prosperity.

Extending his Raksha Bandhan greetings, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai stated, "Today, I felt surrounded by love, as if I had many sisters. The affection and blessings from sisters and children across the state have truly touched my heart." He reiterated the Chhattisgarh Government's dedication to their well-being, highlighting the numerous welfare schemes aimed at supporting them. He stated, "Through the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, we have fulfilled our duty to women of the state.

I am pleased that 70 lakh women in the state are receiving Rs. 1000 each month through this initiative." The Chief Minister emphasised that the Mahtari Vandan Yojana has empowered women economically, enhancing their social standing and helping them meet household needs. "Your affection and blessings are my source of strength and inspiration," he added. The Chief Minister's residence was filled with joy as sisters gathered in large numbers, enthusiastically tying Rakhi and exchanging festive greetings and well wishes.

Kumari Chanchal Soni, who successfully climbed to Mt.Everest Base Camp, shared her delightful experience today at the Chief Minister's residence. She was deeply moved by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai's affection and warmth towards the sisters, remarking that he has shown them even more respect than a biological brother would. Students from Government Abhyas Primary School in Mahasamund—Purvi Dewar, Bhumi Dewar, Neha Dewar, Pihu Bundela, and Sarika Dhimar—were visibly overjoyed as they tied Rakhis to the Chief Minister, who reciprocated their gestures with affection and gifts.

Smt. Jaibun Nisha, a beneficiary of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana from Telibandha, praised Shri Vishnu Deo Sai's government for its commendable work for women. She mentioned that as she grows older and frequently encounters health issues, the Rs. 1000 financial assistance from the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, along with the Ayushman card, has been a significant help.

Smt. Lakshmi Sahu, a resident of Gudhiyari and a 12th-grade graduate, shared that she had purchased a sewing machine from the financial assistance received under the Mahtari vandan Yojana and expanded her tailoring business. She added that it also helps cover her children's school fees. Smt. Sahu shared that Chief Minister Shri Sai is fulfilling his promise as a brother by providing Rs. 1000 every month to all eligible women of the state.

Transgender police personnel, including Tanushri Sahu, Shankar Yadav, and Yogesh Janghel, along with other constables from the transgender community, tied Rakhis to Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, extending their wishes for his happiness and well-being. Vidya Rajput, along with other members of the transgender community such as Avni Khorpade, Shivangi, Sakshi, Deshavi Mandal, Zoya, and Poppy Debnath, also tied Rakhis to the Chief Minister, offering their blessings on this special occasion.

'Swadeshi Mela' to be held across various districts of the state from October 17, 2023 to March 9, 2025

Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today unveiled the brochure for 'Swadeshi Mela' at his residence office today. Indian Marketing Development Center will be organizing 'Swadeshi Mela' across various districts of Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Shri Sai extended best wishes to the delegation for the successful execution of the event.

It is noteworthy that the fair will be organized by the Indian Marketing Development Center (a unit of the Swadeshi Jagran Foundation). Mr. Subrat Chaki, Manager of Swadeshi Mela, informed that for the past two decades, this event is being held annually in different districts of the state. He highlighted that 'Swadeshi Mela' provides new business opportunities for Indian entrepreneurs. The fair has emerged as a beneficial commercial venture for Indian producers, rural enterprises, cottage industries, private, cooperative, and public sector enterprises, thereby increasing its popularity among the general public. This year, 'Swadeshi Mela' will be held in Kabirdham from October 17 to October 23, Bilaspur from November 15 to November 21, Raipur from December 27, 2024, to January 3, 2025, Rajnandgaon from February 7 to February 13, 2025, and Jagdalpur from March 2 to March 9, 2025.
