With government support, farmer Ganesh Rams kidney transplant succeeds; family meets Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai to express gratitude

Raipur, November 8, 2025/ In Chhattisgarh, the Mukhyamantri Vishesh Swasthya Sahayata Yojna has become nothing short of a lifeline for families who once believed that advanced medical treatment was beyond their reach. The scheme has once again proven its worth - this time by giving a new lease of life to 48-year-old farmer Ganesh Ram Yadav from Bagicha in Jashpur district.

Both of Ganesh Rams kidneys had failed. For months, he survived on dialysis as his condition steadily worsened. Doctors advised a kidney transplant but the cost shattered the familys hopes. For a small farming household, such an expense was unimaginable. Each day, the family watched helplessly as their faith in life began to fade.

Amid this despair, they learned about the Mukhyamantri Vishesh Swasthya Sahayata Yojna through the Kunkuri Sadan centre. Acting swiftly, the family gathered the required documents, and thanks to the schemes simplified process, Ganesh Rams entire treatment was approved completely free of cost.

He was admitted to AIIMS, Raipur, where a team of expert doctors performed the transplant. In a deeply moving act of love, his 64-year-old mother, Saraswati Yadav, donated one of her kidneys to save her son giving him life for the second time. The surgery was successful, and today Ganesh Ram has fully recovered. Returning home, his familys joy knows no bounds.

After regaining his health, Ganesh Ram, accompanied by his family, met Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai at his official residence in Raipur. Their eyes were filled with gratitude and emotion. If this scheme didnt exist, said Ganesh Ram, I might not be alive today. The government has restored our hope and given us back our lives.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai held an affectionate interaction with the family and extended his best wishes for their bright and healthy future. He said, Every citizen of the state deserves access to quality healthcare. Our government is committed to ensuring that no one is deprived of treatment due to financial hardship this, in the truest sense, is what public service means.

Under the compassionate leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the Mukhyamantri Vishesh Swaasthya Sahayata Yojna continues to redefine healthcare in Chhattisgarh not merely as an administrative initiative, but as a living testament to human dignity, empathy, and hope.

Ensure Quality and Expedite Irrigation Projects, Says Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai

Ensure Quality and Expedite Irrigation Projects, Says Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai

CM Sai Hails Vande Mataram as the Spiritual Heartbeat of Indias Freedom Journey

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Unveils Photo Exhibition and Calls Vande Mataram Indias Moral Compass

Raipur, November 7, 2025/ Across the whole country today, the nations collective voice rose in unison to sing Vande Mataram on the 150th anniversary of the countrys national song - an anthem that once stirred a sleeping nation into awakening. In Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai joined senior officials and staff at the Mahanadi Bhawan Secretariat for a spirited group rendition of the song, as the air filled with echoes of patriotism and gratitude. The Chief Minister also participated virtually in the national ceremony held in New Delhi, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address, described Vande Mataram as a stirring expression of the devotion of Mother India. He said that the collective singing of Vande Mataram creates a rhythm, a resonance, and a harmony that touches the heart. The Prime Minister emphasized that the songs essence lies in its invocation of Bharat Mata - representing Indias eternal identity, independent spirit, and cultural continuity.

Vande Mataram was not merely a song during the freedom struggle; it was the battle cry of Indias awakening, PM Narendra Modi said. It inspired revolutionaries to break the chains of servitude and gave strength to dream of a free India. Within it resides the saga of our ancient civilization, our cultural richness, and our prosperity.

He noted that the songs power transcends time: It remains as relevant today as it was during the freedom movement a timeless anthem that continues to stir the nations soul.

Extending greetings to the people of Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai described Vande Mataram as a symbol of boundless love, gratitude, and sacred duty toward the motherland. He said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the nation came together in one voice to pay homage to the motherland through the collective singing of Vande Mataram.

CM Vishnu Deo Sai observed that the yearlong commemoration, inaugurated by the Prime Minister today, marks a glorious milestone in the journey of this immortal creation.
He noted that the release of a commemorative coin dedicated to Vande Mataram adds a tangible memory to this historical moment.

Calling it a poetic embodiment of Indias strength, prosperity, and divinity, the Chief Minister reflected on its role in uniting generations around a shared sense of national pride and self-respect. He said, This song is an awakening a call that has kept the lamp of unity and dignity alive across centuries.

A Song Born of Reverence and Revolution

Chief Minister Sai recounted that Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay composed Vande Mataram on November 7, 1875, later including it in his landmark novel Anandamath.
Conceived as a hymn to the motherland, the Chief Minister said, it became the most powerful inspiration of the freedom movement. Countless revolutionaries, he recalled, sacrificed their lives chanting Vande Mataram with a smile. He highlighted its pivotal role during the Swadeshi Movement of 1905, when the song emerged as the unifying cry against the partition of Bengal. From north to south, east to west, he said, it became a mantra of cultural unity and patriotism.

When one hears Vande Mataram, CM Sai said, the heart fills with energy, pride, and devotion. It reminds us that our soil, our water, our food, and our culture are the life-giving forces of our nation.
He drew a striking cultural contrast: In Europe, the land is called Fatherland, but in India, we call it Motherland. As the Ramayana says, Janani Janmabhoomishcha Swargadapi Gariyasi ones mother and motherland are greater than heaven itself. Vande Mataram was born of that same eternal emotion.

A Pledge for the Future: Dedicated to Bharat Mata and Chhattisgarh Mahatari

The Chief Minister said the initiative offers younger generations a profound opportunity to understand the struggles of the past and the role of Vande Mataram in shaping Indias independence movement.
He called upon citizens to take a renewed vow to dedicate themselves to building a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) and Viksit Chhattisgarh, in devotion to Bharat Mata and Chhattisgarh Mahatari.

During the national ceremony, Prime Minister Modi released a commemorative coin and postal stamp marking the 150th anniversary and inaugurated the Vande Bharat Portal (vandematram150.in) - a digital platform allowing citizens to record their own renditions of Vande Mataram and become part of this living heritage. This initiative, he said, offers every Indian the chance to lend their voice to the countrys timeless legacy.

An Exhibition of Memory and Pride

In Raipur, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai also inaugurated a photo exhibition at the Mahanadi Bhawan Secretariat dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram. The exhibition traces the songs journey - from its creation by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay to its rise as the anthem of national consciousness.

Calling the exhibition an inspiring visual chronicle, CM Sai said it illuminates untold stories from Indias freedom struggle and reflects the nations indomitable spirit. Such exhibitions, he remarked, connect the youth with the deeper emotional and philosophical roots of Indias independence and the enduring inspiration of Vande Mataram. In the echoes of Vande Mataram, India once again found its voice one of devotion, unity, and destiny.

Among those present during the occasion were Member of Parliament Chintamani Maharaj, Chief Secretary Vikas Sheel, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Department of Culture Dr. Rohit Yadav, Secretary to the Chief Minister Rahul Bhagat, Mukesh Bansal, P. Dayanand, and Dr. Basavaraju S., along with other senior officials and staff.

- Major Relief for Amit Jogi - Amit terms landmark Supreme Court judgment as a historic victory for justice

- Major Relief for Amit Jogi

Major relief for businesses under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and directions of Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary

Raipur, November 6, 2025/ In a move to enhance ease of doing business and promote digital governance, the Chhattisgarh Government has implemented credit card, debit card, and UPI (Unified Payments Interface) payment options for filing GST returns across the state. The initiative, introduced under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and directives of Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary, aims to make tax payments simpler, faster, and more transparent for traders and businesses.

The long-standing demand for such facilities had been raised consistently by the states business community, chambers of commerce, and trade organizations since the early phase of GST implementation. Traders had emphasized that integrating modern digital payment methods like UPI and card payments with the GST portal would significantly simplify tax transactions and improve transparency. Responding to this, Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary instructed the State GST and Treasury departments to work jointly and expedite the implementation a directive that has now materialized into a fully operational system.

Until now, taxpayers were limited to Net Banking and Over-the-Counter (OTC) payment options. This often posed challenges for small and new businesses, especially when certain banks were not linked to the GST portal. Technical issues such as failed payments, server downtime, and transaction failures near deadlines added to their difficulties, forcing many taxpayers to depend on intermediaries, resulting in a loss of both time and efficiency.

The state government is continuously working to provide maximum convenience to taxpayers, said Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary. The new facility to pay GST through credit cards, debit cards, and UPI offers a major relief to taxpayers. It will make the payment process simpler, faster, and more transparent, especially benefiting small traders.

He further noted that the initiative is a part of the governments broader commitment to advancing Ease of Doing Business and Digital Governance in the state.

The new facility is now live on the official GST portal (www.gst.gov.in). Taxpayers can log in and make payments directly through credit card, debit card, or any UPI app. The system is fully secure and designed to make GST payment more convenient and user-friendly.

This initiative marks a major stride toward promoting digital payments and building a transparent tax ecosystem in Chhattisgarh. It is expected to enhance departmental efficiency and revenue collection, further cementing the states position among Indias leading digital tax administration models.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said, The Chhattisgarh Governments goal is to make governance processes simple, accessible, and transparent for every citizen and business. The expansion of digital facilities like credit card, debit card, and UPI payments for GST across the state is a crucial step in that direction. This system will not only provide speed and convenience to traders but also strengthen transparency and trust in the states economy. We want taxpayers to face no technical or procedural hurdles and to fulfill their tax obligations smoothly. This initiative will serve as a milestone in positioning Chhattisgarh among the leading states in Digital India and Ease of Doing Business benchmarks.
