Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of development works worth more than Rs 329 crore
Raipur: During his visit to Bilaspur today, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan for 47 development works costing over Rs 329 crore 77 lakh at the Tribal Pride Day programme held at the Police Ground, giving the district a new development boost. These included the foundation stone laying of 42 works costing over Rs 309 crore 95 lakh and the inauguration of five works costing Rs 19 crore 18 lakh.
Chief Minister Shri Sai inaugurated the Divisional Commissioner's office in Koni, constructed at a cost of ₹11.91 million (111 million rupees). He also unveiled the statue of Raja Raghuraj Singh, constructed at a cost of ₹11 lakh. Under the Smart City project, he dedicated the Vande Mataram Udyan and STP construction under dual piping, constructed at a cost of ₹6.99 crore (69 million rupees), the returning wall, interlocking porch, tiles, and channel link fencing in Ward No. 18 of Bilaspur Municipal Corporation, constructed at a cost of ₹30.33 lakh (30 million rupees), and an additional room in the new building of the Primary School, Lalkhadan, in Mahmand, constructed at a cost of ₹50 lakh (50 million rupees). He also laid the foundation stone for the proposed Bhainsajahar Lift Irrigation Scheme in Kota Bhainsajahar, costing ₹4.43 crore (44 million rupees). He also laid the foundation stone for the construction of Mahatari Sadan in Tikri and Chilhati, costing ₹30 lakh each.
Apart from this, Shri Sai laid the foundation stone for several works related to the upgradation and construction of extensive roads, bridges and irrigation structures in the district. These include upgradation of Sirgitti-Sarwani-Pasid-Amaldiha-Bartori-Dagori road at a cost of Rs. 69 crore 79 lakh 94 thousand, Nehru Chowk-Darrighat road (10.70 km) at a cost of Rs. 32 crore 9 lakh 15 thousand, Koni-Mopka bypass road (13.40 km) at a cost of Rs. 59 crore 55 lakh 27 thousand,
Karma-Barbhantha-Sargadhori road (4.20 km) at a cost of Rs. 4 crore 78 lakh 86 thousand, strengthening of Bilaspur-Ratanpur-Katghora road (1.40 km) at a cost of Rs. 2 crore 99 lakh 87 thousand, Bhardaiyadih-Kalmitar road (2.30 km) at a cost of Rs. 2 crore 89 lakh and Rs. 6 crore 70 lakh 58 thousand. These include Sipat Navadih Chowk-Darrabhatha-Leelagar bridge road (4.525 km) at a cost of Rs. 1.25 crore, bridge and approach road on Dabki Nala at a cost of Rs. 2 crore 20 lakh 91 thousand, CC road from Janji village to CISF colony (1.675 km) at a cost of Rs. 6 crore 96 lakh 84 thousand,
and construction of a new community building at a cost of Rs. 99 lakh 99 thousand.
Chief Minister Shri Sai laid the foundation stone for several works of construction of large bridges in various rural and forest areas of Bilaspur district, which include construction of road from Shivghat Barrage to Mangala STP (Rs 8 crore 12 lakh 68 thousand), construction of large bridges on Bagdharra-Gaurkhuri, Sargod-Kurdar, Jharna-Baiga Mohalla, Bagthapara etc. roads at a cost of crores of rupees, construction of important bridges in Aamagohan-Chhaprapara and Kumhadakhol under PM Janman Yojana, and upgradation, lining and repair works of Kharang, Kopra, Bahtarai, Pendari, Lakhram, Akaltari reservoirs and canals.
These developments mark a historic step forward in strengthening infrastructure, irrigation facilities, educational infrastructure, urban development, and road connectivity in Bilaspur district. This comprehensive development initiative will not only meet current needs but also lay a strong foundation for establishing Bilaspur as a modern, capable, and prosperous district in the years to come.
