Chhattisgarh Pavilion receives Special Appreciation Medal at the 44th India International Trade Fair (IIFT) 2025

Raipur – Chhattisgarh has achieved a remarkable achievement at the 44th India International Trade Fair (IIFT) 2025. The Chhattisgarh pavilion was awarded the prestigious Special Appreciation Medal for its outstanding thematic presentation and display. The award was presented at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, where the IITF was held from November 14 to 27, 2025. This achievement comes as Chhattisgarh celebrates 25 years of its formation in 2025. The pavilion presented Chhattisgarh's journey in a highly engaging and experiential way—showcasing all aspects of cultural traditions, tribal heritage, livelihood-based initiatives, good governance, industrial development, tourism, and sustainable development.

** -Why was Chhattisgarh's pavilion special?

* The pavilion effectively showcased the state's 25-year journey, its achievements, future goals, and the concept of Nava Chhattisgarh. It also highlighted the transformation taking place in Bastar—where improved road connectivity, tourism development, enhanced tribal livelihoods, and peace-based development have opened up new opportunities in recent years.

 * Traditional craftsmanship, tribal art, local products, cuisine and tourism present the soul of Chhattisgarh with modern flair and authenticity.

 * The pavilion prominently showcased Chhattisgarh's new Industrial Policy 2024-30, which aims to create large-scale employment and attract high-level investments. The exhibition also showcased two major upcoming projects: India's first data center park and Chhattisgarh's first semiconductor plant. Both projects will create thousands of high-quality employment opportunities for the state's youth and position Chhattisgarh prominently on the global map as a technologically advanced, investment-friendly, and future-ready state.

The pavilions received significant footfall during the fair. Interactive digital displays and GI-tagged Dhokra art, stunning Kosa silk, and other traditional products captivated visitors. The impressive blend of culture, craftsmanship, and storytelling made it one of the most memorable experiences of IIFT 2025. The Special Appreciation Medal symbolizes the state's growing confidence, innovation-led growth, and commitment to a strong economic future. The India International Trade Fair, organized annually by the India Trade Promotion Organization, is one of the largest and most diverse events in the country. With participation from states, central ministries, PSUs, MSMEs, artisans, startups, and international participants, Bharat Mandapam becomes a vibrant platform for Indian culture, trade, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

The Special Appreciation Medal award not only strengthens Chhattisgarh's national identity but also demonstrates that the state is progressing with both its cultural heritage and modern development model. The pavilion's achievement is seen as an inspiring step towards Chhattisgarh's progress, its industries, and a bright future for its youth in the years to come. This recognition encourages the state to further improve performance, innovate, and contribute to public welfare development, raising hopes for more such glorious chapters to come.
