Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai blessed the newly married couples by attending the mass marriage ceremony organized under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana in Bemetara. 21 couples from the district tied the knot in this ceremony organized amidst social traditions, Vedic customs and cultural gaiety. In the auspicious moment, the bride and groom took seven rounds amidst Vedic chanting and pledged to stay together for seven lives. On this occasion, giving an important gift to Bemetara district, Chief Minister Shri Sai also announced the establishment of a nursing college, which will give a new direction to the field of health and medical education in the district.

Chief Minister's Kanya Vivah Yojana is a boon for the society

In his address, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai stated that the Chief Minister's Kanya Vivah Yojana is a vital initiative for economically disadvantaged and needy families. The Chief Minister noted that previously, families faced financial concerns regarding their daughters' marriages, but this scheme has provided relief to thousands of families. He added that the state government has increased the assistance amount under the scheme to 50,000 rupees, providing even greater support to eligible families.

Government committed to the respect and safety of daughters

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state government is continuously working for the respect, safety, and empowerment of women. Daughters are an invaluable asset to the family, society, and nation. Numerous public welfare schemes are being implemented to ensure their education, health, and self-reliance. The Chief Minister's Kanya Vivah Yojana is an important part of this vision, providing social and economic support to needy families.

MLA Deepesh Sahu presented the ideal of social harmony.

Chief Minister Shri Sai praised Bemetara MLA Shri Dipesh Sahu, saying that he has set an inspiring example for society by marrying himself in a mass marriage ceremony. This initiative sends a positive message to youth about simple marriages, social harmony, and reducing unnecessary expenses. The Chief Minister said that such examples play an important role in bringing positive change in society and strengthening social equality.

Rain was said to be an auspicious sign

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that rain during any auspicious occasion is considered a symbol of Indra's blessings. He added that today's event, too, was blessed by nature, which bodes well for a happy and prosperous future for the newlyweds.

The procession in the bullock cart became the center of attraction.

A major highlight of the ceremony was the traditional bullock cart procession. Public representatives, local citizens, and family members enthusiastically participated. Traditional musical instruments, folk-cultural ambiance, and public participation added a special grandeur to the event. The event offered a beautiful glimpse of rural culture and social traditions.

A blessing ceremony was held at the old rest house amidst the changing weather.

The program organized under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana was originally to be held at the Basic School Ground, but due to bad weather in the evening and the possibility of heavy rain, the blessing ceremony was shifted to the old rest house premises for the convenience and safety of the newly married couples and their families. Here Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai himself attended and had a cordial meeting with the newlyweds and gave them his blessings for a happy, prosperous and auspicious married life.

Newlyweds get the benefit of government schemes

Under the Chief Minister's Kanya Vivah Yojana, newlywed couples were provided with government-mandated gifts and financial assistance. Public representatives and officials present at the event also extended their best wishes to the newlyweds and wished them a bright future.
