World-class food will be available in Chhattisgarh's tourist resorts

Raipur: Tourists visiting Chhattisgarh's tourist destinations will now experience world-class cuisine and a superb hospitality experience. In a major initiative in this direction, the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board's second culinary skills training program for resort staff has successfully concluded. Organized by the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Nava Raipur, the primary objective of this special program is to upgrade the services of the state's tourist resorts to international standards.

Gained practical knowledge of modern cooking and hygiene standards

During this training, staff from various resorts were taught modern cooking techniques, food presentation, cost control, and kitchen management. Additionally, practical training was provided on hygiene and food safety standards, keeping in mind the health and safety of visitors. Experienced faculty and expert trainers from IHM Raipur taught participants the nuances of preparing Indian, regional, and contemporary cuisine.

Dr. S. Bharati Dasan, Secretary of the Department of Tourism and Culture, was the chief guest at the closing and certificate distribution ceremony held at the IHM Raipur campus. Speaking on the occasion, she said that in the tourism industry, quality food and excellent service make any tourist's trip memorable. If trained staff implement these techniques at their resorts, it will not only increase tourist satisfaction but also strengthen Chhattisgarh's tourism reputation nationally.

Presiding over the event, Mr. Vivek Acharya, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board and Principal of IHM Raipur, emphasized the importance of skill development. He said that in this era of increasing competition in the tourism sector, the quality of services makes the biggest difference. This training will prove to be a milestone in bringing innovation, efficiency, and professionalism to the workforce.

The program was jointly organized by the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board and IHM Raipur. Senior officials from the Tourism Board headquarters, representatives from various resorts, and a large number of trainees attended the closing ceremony. The chief guest distributed certificates to all participants who successfully completed the training.
