A similar unprecedented event was witnessed in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, the newly formed district of Chhattisgarh. Organized under the vision of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and the able guidance of the Collector, "Good Governance Festival 2026" has brought a new dawn of hope to hundreds of disabled, elderly, and destitute residents of the district.
From May 10th to June 10th, department stalls set up in remote rural areas of the district served not only as centers for registering complaints but also as a means for quick and on-the-spot resolution of common people's problems. Steps towards

During the camps, the Social Welfare Department set a unique example of service and sensitivity. After scrutinizing applications, the department distributed assistive devices to 169 needy beneficiaries within a very short time. These included walking sticks for support to 11 elderly individuals, new wheelchairs for four disabled individuals, tricycles for mobility for three disabled individuals, crutches for two beneficiaries, and a hearing aid for one beneficiary.
With the help of these devices, the elderly and disabled are now able to easily complete their daily tasks without relying on others. The smiles on their faces speak volumes about the success of the government's efforts.

The biggest impact of Good Governance Festival was seen on the social security front. After on-the-spot evaluation of applications received at the camps, new social security pensions were approved for 248 eligible beneficiaries. These elderly, destitute, and disabled citizens will now receive regular monthly financial assistance, enabling them to live a respectable life.
These special camps organized under Good Governance Festival 2026 have achieved remarkable success through the coordination between the district administration and the Social Welfare Department. This campaign, which began in May and continued until June 10, 2026, saw significant ground-level decisions. While 169 needy beneficiaries were provided with various assistive devices to make their lives easier, new social security pensions were also immediately approved for 248 eligible citizens, providing them with regular financial support.
