Raipur: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnav for approving a project worth ₹175 crore for construction of additional homing facilities for 250 electric locomotives in Raipur.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that under the leadership of the "Double Engine Government," Chhattisgarh's railway infrastructure is being strengthened at an unprecedented pace. This project, approved by the central government, is an important step towards making the state's rail network more efficient and modern.
The Chief Minister stated that this project will significantly enhance the maintenance capacity of electric locomotives in Raipur. It will also increase the efficiency of freight and passenger transportation and help make railway operations more efficient. It will also strengthen railway infrastructure to meet future needs.
Chief Minister Shri Sai expressed confidence that this project will play an important role in establishing Chhattisgarh as a major rail, industrial and logistics hub of the country and will provide new impetus to the creation of a developed Chhattisgarh in accordance with the resolution of Developed India 2047.
