Although Savitri Bai is now about 65 years old, she still remembers that when she came to this village 47-48 years ago, her agricultural land got submerged in Bango. After the fields got submerged in water about five decades ago, Savitri Bai grows crops in about half an acre with her husband. She also runs a small hotel in Satrenga. Their income is only when the tourists who come to the picnic spot here eat food, otherwise there is no guarantee of their income. Savitri Bai is happy that even after waiting for the tourists to come the whole day for income, even if no one comes, she is not worried much now, because every month one thousand rupees are deposited in her account from Mahtari Vandan Yojana. This amount is very useful for her. The Mahtari Vandan amount is used to run the household expenses. Savitri Bai of Jhoribahar Satrenga village under Korba block told that after the marriage of her sons, all of them live separately. She told that she came to this village after marriage. When she was 22 years old, her agricultural land got submerged in water in Bango Dubhan. After the fields got submerged in water, she had to earn a living by doing manual labour. Meanwhile, she has opened a small hotel in Satrenga picnic spot. Some income is earned by tourists coming here and eating food in her hotel. She told that it is not certain that she will earn something every day, but since the government of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev has started the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, there is a guarantee of one thousand rupees coming into the account. She told that this amount also helps in running the hotel. Many times, when she does not have money to buy rice, vegetables and other items for the hotel, she uses the amount received from the scheme and earns extra money from this money. The amount of Mahtari Vandan also helps in buying other household items.

New industrial policy includes special subsidy and incentive package for industries

Raipur 30 December 2024/ Chhattisgarh today attracted Rs 15,184 crore investment through various industrial proposals by top companies with a focus on sectors like semiconductor, IT, electronics, food processing, EV, electrical and renewable energy at the Investors Connect Meet held in New Delhi.

Key industrialists from both India and abroad engaged in detailed discussion with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai to explore investment opportunities in the state. The discussions were focused on exploring potential investments that will boost the state's industrial growth and create thousands of employment opportunities. Investors from various sectors showed keen interest in setting up business in the state. 

 Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized that the State’s New Industrial Policy 2024-30 is highly favorable for investors and extended a warm invitation to industrialists and investors to explore the vast opportunities and potential the state offers.
 
"Chhattisgarh has immense potential for investment in sectors like agriculture, food processing, energy, mining, and manufacturing. Our new industrial policy provides tax, land, and electricity exemptions as well as single-window clearance for industries. This policy not only emphasizes on setting up industries but also on employment generation," CM Sai said.

Highlighting some of the pro-investors features of the policy, the CM said that the policy includes special subsidy and incentive packages for emerging sectors like AI, robotics, green hydrogen, and data centers, streamlined approval processes through the Digital Single Window System 2.0 and a conducive environment with strong administration of the state.

“Chhattisgarh is no longer just a mineral-rich state; it is becoming a hub for modern industries and emerging technologies,” the Chief Minister said, adding that the New Industrial Policy aims to make the state self-reliant and empowered by 2047.

Elaborating further on the initiatives taken by the state government, the CM said that the Industry Department has streamlined the subsidy issuance process with a maximum of three levels and a time limit of seven days, ensuring a fast and efficient approval system.

To promote Industrial Growth, the State Government is offering a 30% subsidy for private industrial parks under the "minimum government" concept. Additionally, for industries looking to set up operations, ready and developed plots will be provided within 60 days of application, he added.

The Chief Minister said that the government is committed to minimizing interference in the establishment and operation of industries. Many processes will be facilitated through self-certification or online platforms, eliminating the need for direct interaction with government offices.

The Chief Minister volleyed various questions from the investors and reassured them stating, “"The Chhattisgarh government will stand with you at every step, ensuring a smooth and supportive journey as you set up your businesses." He explained in detail about the better infrastructure, skilled human resources and peaceful environment available in the state.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that this investor meet will take the industrial development of Chhattisgarh to new heights. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from industrialists, who lauded the policy's focus on modern technologies and ease of doing business. 

Chhattisgarh Industry Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Secretary to Chief Minister Rahul Bhagat and Investment Commissioner of Chhattisgarh in New Delhi Ms. Ritu Sain and other senior officials were present at the event. These officials provided detailed insights into the state’s industrial ecosystem and the benefits of investing in Chhattisgarh.

Chhattisgarh Industry Secretary Rajat Kumar said Chhattisgarh is not just about mines and minerals it is rapidly evolving into a significant hub for electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing. Kumar said that the state is diversifying its industrial base and has become a key player in the production of a wide range of products, from pharmaceuticals and train shells to televisions and lighting equipment.

IIM graduates to be appointed as investment managers

To support industrialists, the state has signed an MoU with IIM Raipur, enabling the appointment of graduates as investment managers under the Chief Minister's Industrial Internship. These managers will assist industrialists remotely helping to streamline processes and offer personalized support.

Special incentives on investment in Bastar region

The Chief Minister announced significant incentives to boost industrial development in Bastar, including 50% royalty exemption on iron ore and 100% royalty exemption on coal for core sector industries. Additionally, industries will benefit from a 15-year reimbursement of royalties and state cess. To further encourage investment, a 118-acre industrial area is being developed in the village of Niyanar.

Priority to investment in modern technologies

The Chief Minister highlighted that the new industrial policy of Chhattisgarh prioritizes emerging and modern technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, Green Hydrogen, and Data centers. Additionally, key sectors like IT, Pharma, Electronics, and Food Processing have been given special focus. Industries in these areas will receive 30% to 50% assistance, along with tax exemptions ranging from 5 to 12 years, ensuring a smoother setup and operational process for businesses.

During the event, industrialists from various sectors showed their keen interest in investment in Chhattisgarh and offered investment proposals. Polymatec Electronics Limited MD Eswararao Nandam proposed an investment of 1134 crores in the semiconductor sector, which will create more than 100 jobs. At the same time, Teleperformance COO Ashish Johri shared a plan to set up a back office center by investing 300 crores. Micromax's Rajesh Agarwal proposed an investment of 100 crores in solar cell manufacturing. Varun Beverages CEO Kamlesh Jain expressed his desire to invest 250 crores in PepsiCo bottling plant. Purushottam and Uttam Singhal of TWI Group suggested an investment of 1650 crores, which will create 1000 employment opportunities. Praveen Gupta of Paramount Communications promised an investment of 250 crores and 1000 jobs. Renew Power Limited's Sumant Sinha shared a plan to invest 11,500 crores in pump storage and green hydrogen projects. A total of Rs 15,184 crore investment proposals have been received by top companies with a focus on sectors like Semiconductor, IT, Electronics, Food Processing, EV, Electrical and Renewable energy.

Raipur 30 December/Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah today chaired a review meeting in Raipur to assess the situation of Left Wing Extremism (LWE) in Chhattisgarh. During the review meeting, the Union Home Minister asked all forces and agencies to make joint efforts towards achieving the goal of complete elimination of LWE by March 2026.

In his concluding remarks after the meeting, Union Home Minister stated that Chhattisgarh Police and other security forces have worked very well and in a coordinated manner in the fight against Naxalism. He said that due to our security forces, the Naxals have suffered maximum damage in the last one year which is a huge success. Shri Shah said that we still have a lot to do to eliminate Naxalism before March 2026 and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) will play a very important role in this effort. Many dignitaries including Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and Deputy Chief Minister were present on this occasion.

Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, during his address, commended the Chhattisgarh government for establishing a memorial to honour the 1,399 martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice in their valiant struggle against Naxalism. He expressed hope that this memorial would not only pay tribute to these heroes but also inspire future generations. Shri Shah highlighted that the current Chhattisgarh government, since its formation last year, has been steadfast in its commitment to eradicating Naxalism. He emphasized that this menace must be completely uprooted to prevent further loss of innocent lives. He noted that the government is adopting a comprehensive three-pronged strategy to achieve this goal. Firstly, those willing to renounce violence and rejoin the mainstream of society are being welcomed. Secondly, efforts are being intensified to apprehend those who refuse to abandon the path of violence. Lastly, strict action will be taken against individuals intent on harming others, ensuring they face the full force of justice. The Home Minister shared significant progress in this regard, stating that, within a year, 287 Naxalites were neutralized, approximately 1,000 were arrested, and 837 surrendered in Chhattisgarh. This underscores the government's unwavering resolve to restore peace and security in the region.

Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah stated that the achievements of the past year in combating Naxalism in Chhattisgarh are unprecedented. He noted that never before has such a vast area been liberated from Naxal influence in a single year, nor have such significant numbers of Naxalites been neutralized, arrested, or surrendered. Shri Shah commended the Chhattisgarh government for executing a highly effective and well-coordinated strategy in this effort. In his address following the meeting, Shri Amit Shah highlighted that in 2019, youth in Kashmir, the Northeast, and Naxalism-affected areas were ruining their lives by taking up arms, engaging in violence, and keeping their regions deprived of development. He explained that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, a decision was made to provide an opportunity for those willing to lay down their arms and reintegrate them into society. Shri Shah shared that from 2019 to 2024, over 9,000 individuals in the Northeast alone have surrendered their weapons. He also mentioned that many youths in Naxalism-affected areas have similarly joined the mainstream, and now the Government of India is formulating a comprehensive plan for the welfare of these individuals and those suffering from the impact of Naxalism. The Home Minister further revealed that Prime Minister Modi has approved the construction of 15,000 houses in Naxal-affected regions. Additionally, the government is launching a program to establish dairy cooperatives by providing one cow or buffalo to every family in these areas.

Union Home Minister said that after the formation of the government in Chhattisgarh last year, a commitment was made to make the state free from Naxalism. He emphasized that violence is not the solution, and those who have taken up arms must be reintegrated into society. He praised the Chhattisgarh government's surrender policy as one of the best, and expressed the intention to replicate this model nationwide, aiming to rehabilitate the youth who have laid down their arms and help them rejoin the mainstream of society.

Shri Amit Shah urged the youth involved in violence to lay down their arms and embrace the mainstream of society. Speaking about the Bastar Olympics, he highlighted that the talented youth of Bastar represent the future of India. He emphasised that a process should be started to make the children of Bastar capable of winning medals from 2025 onwards till 2036 Olympics.Shri Shah expressed that when a girl from Bastar wins a medal in the 2036 Olympics, it will serve as a powerful response to Naxalism and send a global message that development, not violence, is the path to success.

Union Home Minister said that only a few areas remain affected by Naxalism. He emphasized that those involved in violence are also our own people. He highlighted that the citizens of the state require essential services like schools, dispensaries, hospitals, free food grains, electricity, toilets, and clean water, and it is the responsibility of the Chhattisgarh government to provide these facilities to every village. Shri Shah further mentioned that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, Bastar is the top priority for all welfare schemes of the Central Government. In his address, Shri Amit Shah stated that the historic Bastar Olympics 2024 is coming to a close today. He said that the Bastar Olympics is not merely limited to the 150,000 children present here, but will become a symbol of hope for all seven districts of Bastar. He further mentioned that in coming days the Bastar Olympics willbecome a saga of Bastar’s development and will deal a decisive blow to Naxalism.

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation said that Bastar is changing today, but when the Bastar Olympics will be held in 2026, we can surely say that our Bastar has changed. He said that these games have initiated the transition from "changing" to "completely changed”. He further mentioned that the positive energy of the Bastar Olympics will prevent millions of tribal youths from straying down the wrong path, connect them with the process of building India, and become a means for the welfare of millions of rural and tribal people. Shri Shah added that the Bastar Olympics will lay the foundation for peace, security, development, and new hopes in the region. He emphasized that half of the medals won by India in international competitions are brought by our children from tribal families. He expressed confidence that the Bastar Olympics and the development initiated through them will open the horizons of the world for the tribal children of Bastar in the coming days. He said that the wheelchair race of differently abled people affected by Naxal violence will become a symbol of pace of Bastar’s development.

Shri Amit Shah recalled a time when Bastar lacked basic amenities like electricity and water, faced famine, and saw schools being burned and dispensaries and hospitals closed. However, he highlighted that in the past year, the state government has launched a massive campaign to transform the villages of Bastar. He mentioned that although the central government did not receive support from the state government over the last five years, but when his party formed the government, the campaign against Naxalism again intensified. He noted that within just one year, 287 Naxalites were neutralized, nearly 1,000 were arrested, and 837 surrendered.

Union Home Minister urged the Naxalites to abandon the path of violence, join the mainstream of society, and move forward on the path of development, contributing to the progress of Chhattisgarh. He emphasized that the Chhattisgarh government has introduced the most attractive surrender policy in the entire country. Shri Shah further stated that the Chhattisgarh government is committed to implementing over 300 public welfare schemes from both the Government of India and the state government in every village across the state. He highlighted the ‘Niyad Nellanar’ scheme as an initiative aimed at transforming villages into a paradise. He noted that today, schools are operational in Bastar, electricity has been provided, phone connectivity is available, roads are being constructed, drinking water is accessible, and every tribal person receives 5 kg of food grains per month. Additionally, the Modi government is providing free medical treatment worth up to Rs 5 lakh.

Shri Amit Shah highlighted that in the past 10 years, the Modi government has tackled Naxalism on two fronts. On one hand, the security measures against Naxalites involved in violence have been strengthened, effectively curbing their activities. On the other hand, efforts have been made to rehabilitate surrendered Naxalites. He emphasized that the Modi government has also focused on developing Naxalism-affected areas, which had fallen behind in the development race. Because of the efforts of the Modi government, there has been a 73% reduction in the deaths of security forces and a 70% reduction in civilian casualties in areas plagued by Naxalism since 1983. The Home Minister reaffirmed the Modi government's commitment to completely eradicating Naxalism from the country by March 31, 2026.

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation stated that once Naxalism is eradicated, Bastar will attract more tourists than Kashmir due to its abundant natural beauty. He highlighted that the Modi government is focused on promoting tourism, small-scale industries, and the dairy sector within the cooperative framework in the region. Additionally, the government is working to support tribal farmers by purchasing their paddy at Rs. 3,100 per quintal. Shri Shah announced that a similar scheme will be introduced soon for the purchase of Tendu leaves, ensuring that farmers are treated fairly and that funds are not diverted to Naxalism. He also mentioned that Prime Minister Modi has approved the construction of 15,000 additional houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for the families of those who surrendered, or were disabled due to Naxal violence, or were killed in Naxal attacks. Of these houses, more than 9,000 houses are being built in Bastar. This, he said, reflects the deep empathy Prime Minister Modi has for the Naxalism-affected areas.

Shri Amit Shah expressed confidence that when the Olympic Games will be held in India in 2036, one of the children present at this Bastar event will win a medal for the country, and the entire nation will be proud. He emphasized that Prime Minister Modi's core mantra is "Sports for All, Sports for Excellence," and the government is committed to realizing this vision in Bastar. Shri Shah assured that Bastar will achieve 100% saturation in development, tourism, peace, and the implementation of all public welfare schemes, and that Chhattisgarh will soon be completely free from Naxalism.

Union Home Minister highlighted that over the past 10 years, Prime Minister Modi has advanced the protection of water, forest, and land, alongside prioritizing security, respect, and inclusive development. He noted that PM Modi has worked tirelessly to establish peace and stability by eradicating Naxalism, and has built museums across the country to honor the sacrifices of hundreds of tribal freedom fighters who gave their lives for the independence struggle. Shri Shah further stated that Modi ji declared 15 November, the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas (Tribal Pride Day). He also pointed out that in 2013-2014, the tribal welfare budget was Rs 28,000 crore, but under Prime Minister Modi, it has been increased to Rs 1,33,000 crore for the year 2024-2025. Shri Shah emphasized that the Narendra Modi government at the Centre is fully committed to the development of tribal areas, villages, and tribal youth who have long been left behind in the development race.

Shri Amit Shah stated that in the past, the District Mineral Fund was primarily used for industrial purposes, but under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, a significant portion of this fund has been redirected towards the development of tribal villages. He added that over the last 10 years, an additional Rs. 97,000 crore has been allocated to tribal areas. He highlighted that during this period, 708 Eklavya Model Residential Schools were established at a cost of Rs. 6,400 crore, which is 27 times more than the number built during the previous government's 10-year tenure. Shri Shah also mentioned that the Modi government allocated Rs. 7,000 crore for the Janjatiya  Adarsh Gram Yojana, Rs. 15,000 crore for the Prime Minister PVTG Development Mission, and provided comprehensive facilities to 5 crore tribal people across 63,000 villages under the Janjatiya Unnat Gram Yojana.

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation emphasized that it is our collective responsibility to establish peace in Bastar, foster its development while preserving its natural beauty, and attract tourists from around the world. He stated that this can only be achieved through the construction of roads, the introduction of railways, the provision of electricity and water, and, most importantly, the establishment of peace, which he noted, will only be realized once Naxalism is completely eradicated.

As part of the Janadesh Parb program at Science College in Raipur, Sudarshan Patnaik attracted everyone's attention with his art in the program. The event was attended by Union Health Minister JP Nadda, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, other ministers, public representatives, and thousands of people on Friday late evening.

Explaining the reason for his participation in the event, Shri Sudarshan Patnaik said, “Through my sand art I expressed my observation and appreciation for overall development that took place in Chhattisgarh under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. Apart from the facilty of Housing to Public to Energy and Forest Conservation efforts, the social fabric is also being strengthened by women empowerment schemes. Chhattisgarh government is also making efforts to boost the economy of the State by introducing New Industrial Policy.” 

The artist created a stunning sand sculpture to showcase the achievements of Chhattisgarh’s government, marking the completion of one year in office. Raipur December 30, 2024/ Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai  highlighted the transformative initiatives undertaken by his government, which are poised to play a crucial role in driving India's overall growth. He emphasized that the state's new industrial policy is a key step towards establishing Chhattisgarh as an industrial hub, with a focus on fostering regional economic development, creating jobs, and modernizing infrastructure. The policy is particularly aimed at accelerating growth in tribal and backward areas, ensuring that the benefits of development are widely distributed and contribute to the nation's broader economic progress.

Underlining the key feature of the new policy, the chief minister said that the industrial policy emphasis on employment generation, particularly in the tribal regions, with a focus on creating 5 lakh new jobs over the next five years. The inclusion of tourism in the industrial policy will not only provide a significant income boost to people residing in these areas but will also create numerous job opportunities, the chief minister said while speaking at the 10th Edition of the India Economic Conclave held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.  

Elaborating further, he informed that the new industrial policy also includes significant rehabilitation incentives aimed at industries that employ surrendered Naxals, offering up to 40% reimbursement of their net salary, with a subsidy cap of Rs. 5 lakh per annum for five years. This initiative is part of a broader effort to promote development in Bastar, where small, medium, and micro industries stand to benefit from a range of support measures. These include capital investment grants of up to 45% on investments between Rs. 45 lakh and Rs. 8 crore, as well as SGST reimbursement of up to 150% for the next decade, creating a conducive environment for local economic growth and social integration.

Chhattisgarh Secretary Industry department Rajat Kumar and Director Industries Prabhat Mallik gave presentations on Naya Raipur and New industrial policy at the conclave.

Investment Incentives and MSME Support

The state government is also offering a wide range of incentives to encourage investments. These include exemptions on stamp duty and electricity duty, alongside 10 other types of investment incentives. A new 118-acre industrial area is being established for ancillary units of the Nagarnar Steel Plant in Bastar, designed to support micro, small, and medium industries. The introduction of Single Window System 2.0 will further streamline the clearance process for investors by consolidating approvals from various departments in one place. The policy prioritizes green and technology-based industries and promotes the value addition of Chhattisgarh’s rich mineral resources.

Development of Naya Raipur: The Next IT and Infrastructure Hub

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai also highlighted the government's renewed commitment to developing Naya Raipur as a key modern hub. Naya Raipur, spread across 237 square kilometers, is set to become an IT, education, and health hub. The government is providing plug-and-play infrastructure at concessional rates to IT and related firms, with plans to create over 3,500 jobs in the IT sector. The trial run of the Naya Raipur Atal Nagar railway line has been completed, with an investment of Rs. 150 crore for the construction of a CBD railway station and related infrastructure.

In addition to expanding transportation networks, including three new railway stations, the government is also focused on environmental sustainability, planting 10,000 peepal trees as part of the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" and “Peepal for People” campaign. The educational and healthcare infrastructure is being upgraded with Rs. 60 crore allocated for schools and plans to establish a health hub under the Pradhan Mantri Medi City Yojana.

Taking the opportunity to underscore the government's efforts in combating Naxalism, the Chief Minister said that this year, 213 Naxals have been killed, and nearly 1,500 have either surrendered or been arrested. He reiterated the government's commitment to eliminating Naxalism from Chhattisgarh within the next two years. The establishment of 34 new security camps in Bastar and development projects under the Niyyad Nella Nar Yojana are key components of the state’s security strategy, he added.

Digital Governance and Transparency

In a bid to ensure transparency and curb corruption, the government has implemented several digital governance initiatives. Investments of Rs. 266 crore have been made in IT tools to bring about greater accountability in administration. The Atal Monitoring App allows real-time tracking of government schemes, while the Swagatham Portal facilitates easy meetings with officials. The Sugam App is enabling citizens to register for services from home, reducing their need to visit government offices.

Infrastructure Development at the Forefront

Infrastructure development remains a top priority for the state government. Significant investments are being made in road construction, with Rs. 31,000 crore worth of projects approved by the central government. Work on key projects such as the Raipur-Visakhapatnam Economic Corridor and various railway initiatives are progressing rapidly. Airports in Raipur, Bilaspur, and Jagdalpur are being expanded to enhance air connectivity, and the central government has approved international flights from Raipur.

Focus on Water Supply and Rural Development

Chief Minister Sai also provided an update on the Jal Jeevan Mission, which aims to provide clean drinking water to every household in the state. With more than 79% of the work completed, the mission has already delivered tap water connections to 40 lakh households. The Multi-Village Scheme is addressing water supply issues in areas with groundwater challenges, benefiting remote villages such as Gahandar and Pachrahi, where the Nal Jal Yojana is now providing clean drinking water to residents.

The Chief Minister concluded by emphasizing that the development of Chhattisgarh is vital for the progress of India as a whole. The state is prioritizing infrastructure development, digital governance, and investment in key sectors such as manufacturing, education, and healthcare. During the smuggling of leopard and bear skins near Paltan Ghat under Forest Range Ramanujganj, the flying squad team of Wildlife Crime Control along with the Ramanujganj Balrampur and Wadrafnagar forest department teams surrounded and caught accused Anil Kumar resident Babhani Uttar Pradesh and accused Rambachan resident Purandih red handed with two leopard and one bear skins. Action is being taken against the accused under sections 2,9,50 and 51 of Wildlife Protection Act 1972. In this case, Forest Department SDO Santosh Pandey said that on Saturday evening, the state level flying squad team and the Wild Life Crime Control team informed that come to Paltan Ghat, here the suspected criminals have been caught, after which the staff of Ramanujganj forest range immediately reached the spot and caught two criminals. The investigation of this case is still going on. All the criminals involved in this will be searched. In this action, the flying squad team of Wild Life Crime Control, Balrampur DFO Ashok Tiwari, SDO Santosh Pandey, Deputy Ranger Vijay Singh, Vijay Nath Tiwari, Dayashankar Singh, Shushna Bhagat, Ramdulare Yadav, Mangal Chandra Ram, Rajnath Singh, Khaleshwar Paikra, Krishna Paikra, Pintu Malakar and Basant Prasad Raman along with the employees of the forest department contributed. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai meets Union Civil Aviation Minister Shri Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu : Discussions focus on strengthening air connectivity and developing regional airports in Chhattisgadh 

Raipur 20 November 2024/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday met Union Civil Aviation Minister Shri Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, New Delhi. The meeting focused on enhancing air connectivity in the state and developing regional airports. The Union Minister gave his nod to commence international air services from Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur at the earliest. In addition, steps will be initiated to develop a cargo hub at Raipur Airport. Consent has been received to initiate air services connecting Raipur Airport with Patna and Ranchi.

Chief Minister requested granting international airport status to Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur, adding that Chhattisgarh holds significant potential for international air services.

He stated that this move would boost the state's economic development and enhance global connectivity. Considering the growing international passenger traffic in Chhattisgarh, the Chief Minister discussed the need for direct flights from Raipur to Singapore and Dubai, noting that these routes have substantial passenger demand and would be commercially viable. The Union Aviation Minister has agreed to the proposal to commence international air services from Swami Vivekananda Airport in Raipur at the earliest. 

Shri Sai also pointed out the absence of a major cargo facility center in the state and proposed transforming Raipur Airport into a central cargo hub. He stated that this development would boost the transportation of agricultural and horticultural products. The Union Minister assured prompt action on the proposal.

During the meeting, a proposal was made to upgrade Bilaspur Airport to the 3C IFR category. Chief Minister Shri Sai urged the swift completion of the installation process for the Radio Navigation System DVOR to address this requirement. In response, the Union Minister directed officials to expedite the process, considering the challenges currently faced in night landings at Bilaspur Airport.

Chief Minister also called for the introduction of new flights connecting Ambikapur Airport with major cities, including Raipur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Ayodhya. He added that such services would significantly benefit the region, given its cultural and mineral wealth. The Union Minister assured a positive initiative in response to this demand.

In the meeting, Chief Minister also requested the restoration of financial assistance for RCS flights at Jagdalpur and Bilaspur airports, stating that enhanced connectivity on these routes would support regional development. He mentioned that the Indigo Airlines flight service between Jagdalpur and Raipur was discontinued due to low passenger numbers. Urging for its timely reinstatement, Shri Sai highlighted the immense tourism potential in Bastar, creating a strong demand for air connectivity on this route. The Union Minister assured a positive initiative on the other proposals as well. Chief Minister's Secretary Shri Rahul Bhagat along with Investment Commissioner of Chhattisgarh in New Delhi, Smt. Ritu Sain were also present at the meeting.

Jagdalpur : in order to honor and support the Tribal communities of Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai honored Baiga, Gunia and Sirha Tribal communities by giving them ‘shawl’ and coconut in a program organized at the Circuit House on Monday.

Highlighting these communities as the protectors of tribal tradition, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that traditional Tribal communities like Baiga, Gunia and Sirha will now be given honorarium of Rs 5,000 each year. This initiative is an important step towards promoting the cultural traditions of tribal society along with their economic empowerment.

“Government is committed to the preservation and development of the culture and traditions of tribal society. Such decisions will prove helpful in making the tribal areas of Chhattisgarh self-reliant and increasing their pride,” said Shri Sai. 

Chief Minister emphasized the importance of cherishing the traditions of the tribal community and making them partners in the development of the society. On this occasion, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, MLA Jagdalpur Shri Kiran Deo, former MLA Mahesh Gagda and local public representatives were present.

Union Health Ministry team evaluated hospitals in October and November

Raipur । A total of 14 government hospitals in Chhattisgarh, recognized for providing excellent healthcare services and quality treatment to patients, have been awarded the National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) certificate by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. These include 10 Ayushman Arogya Mandir Sub-Health Centers, three Primary Health Centers, and one Urban Primary Health Center. The NQAS certificate was issued by a team of experts from the Union Health Ministry after evaluating the quality of services offered in these hospitals during October and November.

State Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal congratulated the health centers for meeting the quality assurance standards. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, healthcare facilities in the state have been consistently improving. As a result, 14 government hospitals have earned the prestigious National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare assessed the performance of these health centers across various districts. In *Mahasamund* district, Ayushman Arogya Mandir Sub-Health Center Bhadrasi scored 91.29%, Bade Temri 90.27%, Jhalap 91.93%, and Nayapara Urban Primary Health Center 88.89%. In *Surajpur*, Ayushman Arogya Mandir Sub-Health Center Navaparakala scored 76.09%, and Dharampur 87.75%. The *Kanker* district centers performed notably, with Ayushman Arogya Mandir Sub-Health Center Musarpatta scoring 94.2%, P.V.89 85.58%, Kodagaon 93.36%, and Makrikhuna 81.54%. In *Balodabazar*, Ayushman Arogya Mandir Sub-Health Center Thelki scored 86.83%, while in *Raigarh*, Ayushman Arogya Mandir Sub-Health Center Chharratanagar scored 82.39%. The *Bastar* district's Jamawada center scored 88.99%, and in *Raipur*, Siliyari center achieved 88.15%.

Before issuing the National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate, a team of experts from the Government of India conducted a thorough evaluation of the hospitals' services and patient satisfaction levels. The assessment was based on various parameters, including the availability of services, patients' rights, inputs, support services, clinical services, infection control, quality management, and outcomes. Only hospitals meeting these stringent criteria are granted quality certification by the Union Health Ministry.

Raipur : The Inter-State Tribal Folk Dance Festival and Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas concluded on Friday after a two-day celebration of tribal culture and traditions in Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the closing ceremony at the Science College Ground, where Tribal dance troupes from various states showcased their vibrant performances.

The festival featured performances from folk dance groups representing Himachal Pradesh, Tripura, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Uttarakhand, and Chhattisgarh. Highlights included the Hojagiri dance by the Bru Riang community of Tripura, where young women balanced bottles on their heads while dancing in perfect harmony. The Kayang dance from Himachal Pradesh, performed in a circular pattern, symbolized unity and the beauty of nature.

The Garo dance from Meghalaya expressed devotion to the deity Misi Saljong, while Mizoram's Mizo dance showcased bravery and valor in battle. The Harul dance from Uttarakhand, performed by the Hati tribe, narrated heroic stories of the Pandavas and local gods.

On the first day of the festival, several other dances were performed, including Chakos Tangnam from Sikkim, Siddhi Goma from Gujarat, Geh Padam A Na Nyi from Arunachal Pradesh, and various dances from Chhattisgarh, including the Gaur Madia dance.

The festival brought together a rich variety of tribal dance forms, offering a vivid glimpse into the diverse cultures, stories, and traditions of India’s tribal communities. The event concluded with performances from folk artists across Chhattisgarh, celebrating the state’s own tribal heritage.

Raipur : Preparations are underway for the grand celebration of Chhattisgarh State Foundation Day, Rajyotsava 2024, scheduled to take place from November 4 to November 6 at the Rajyotsava venue in Naya Raipur, Atal Nagar. Extensive arrangements are being made, from decorating the main stage to preparing the entire venue. Government departments are actively setting up exhibition stalls to showcase achievements and ongoing projects, with officials from all departments focused on highlighting their contributions.

Rajyotsava 2024 will be inaugurated on November 4 at 6 p.m., at hands of Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, as the Chief Guest. The program will be presided over by Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, while Dr. Raman Singh, Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, will attend as a special guest. The events on November 5 will commence under the patronage of Governor Shri Raman Deka, with Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai presiding. The State Award Ceremony and the Rajyotsava’s concluding event will take place on November 6, with Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar as the Chief Guest. On this occasion, Governor Shri Raman Deka will preside, and both Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh will attend as special guests.

Over the three-day celebration, Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Arun Sao and Shri Vijay Sharma, Ministers Shri Ramvichar Netam, Shri Dayal Das Baghel, Shri Kedar Kashyap, Shri Lakhanlal Dewangan, Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Shri OP Choudhary, Smt. The cultural programs will commence at 4:30 p.m. on November 4, with popular Bollywood playback singer Shantanu Mukherjee (Shanu) scheduled to perform at 7:45 p.m. Prior to this, there will be performances by Shri Rikhi Kshatriya’s team, presenting glimpses of 12 folk dances; Shri Mohan Chauhan and team’s Adivindam; regional dance and music by Shri Sunil Soni and team; and Naam Ramayan by Shri Vidya Varchasvi. On November 5, starting at 5 p.m., the program will feature ‘Sanskritik Leher Ganga’ by Shri Puranik Sahu, folk tunes by Shri Surendra Sahu, Bhola Yadav, and team; ‘The Moonlight Raga’ by Shri Mohan Naidu and team; and performances by Rajesh Awasthi, Ms. Aru Sahu, and Ms. Neeti Mohan. The final day, November 6, will include Anurag Star Night by Shri Anurag Sharma, an ‘India’s Got Talent’ Mallakhamb act by Shri Manoj Prasad, ‘Magic Bastar’ by Shri Savi Srivastava, and a musical performance by Pawan Deep and Arunita.

Throughout the event, the Government of Chhattisgarh will organize a grand and visually appealing exhibition at the Rajyotsava venue. A Craft Village will be set up to display and sell a variety of Chhattisgarh’s handicrafts. Large domes have been constructed at the venue for the exhibitions: Dome-1 and Dome-2 will feature government department stalls, Dome-3 will showcase commercial enterprises, and Dome-4 will host public sector institutions. Shilp Gram, Food Court, and Meena Bazaar are expected to be major attractions for attendees at Rajyotsava.

Raipur :  In a bid to enhance accessibility for attendees, a free bus service will be provided to visitors during the Rajyotsav celebrations. This initiative aims to ensure convenient transportation and encourage greater participation in the festivities.

On the occasion of State Foundation Day, a three-day Rajyotsav is being organized at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Business Complex Tuta in Nava Raipur. 

The district administration will provide free bus service to the visitors from 4 to 6 November from Raipur city to the Rajyotsav venue. The buses will operate for Tuta Nava Raipur from Raipur city’s railway station, Kalibadi Chowk, Pachpedi Naka and Bhatagaon new bus stand on an hourly basis from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

'Free bus service for Rajyotsav' will be displayed on such buses. Similarly, while on return from Tuta Rajyotsav Sthal to Raipur city, the same buses will leave with a gap of each hour from 4:00 PM till 10:00 PM.
