Chief Minister Sai gave the gift of development works worth more than Rs 122 crore to Jashpur district.
Raipur : During his visit to Jashpur today, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai gave historic impetus to health, infrastructure, public welfare, and social development projects in the district. He inaugurated and performed groundbreaking ceremonies for development projects worth over 122 crore rupees in the district and provided domestic gas connections to over 2,000 women under the Ujjwala Yojana.
More than 2,000 women have been provided domestic gas connections under the Ujjwala Gas Scheme.
Inaugurating the newly constructed 30-bed community health centre in the Bagicha development block at a cost of approximately Rs 2.43 crore, Chief Minister Shri Sai described it as a lifeline for the forest region and a population of approximately two lakhs, including the special backward tribe Pahadi Korwa. This modern health centre will provide specialist services including general surgery, ENT, paediatrics, orthopaedics, gynaecology and modern lab testing facilities. For its smooth functioning, 100 medical and paramedical staff have been approved, so that people will no longer have to go to distant cities for treatment of serious diseases.
Chief Minister Shri Sai also inaugurated a mega health camp in the same premises, in which super-specialist doctors including Neuro, Nephrology, Orthopedics, Gynecology, ENT, Plastic Surgery examined thousands of people, conducted lab tests and distributed free medicines and arrangements were made to refer serious patients to higher level hospitals. He said that it is the top priority of the government that quality medical facilities should be accessible even to remote and forest areas and for this purpose, Medical College, Nursing College, Physiotherapy College and Naturopathy Centre are being established in Jashpur.
While providing domestic gas connections to over 2,000 women at the Ujjwala Mahotsav in Bagicha, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's Ujjwala Yojana has provided women with freedom from smoke, health security and self-respect. He also distributed loan cheques to youth under the Mudra Yojana to start employment and announced the construction of additional rooms in the Atmanand School in Bagicha, a bridge on the Bagicha-Binde road, a bridge over the Kanhar River and the upgradation of the Bagicha Rest House.
The Chief Minister said that the public has expressed faith in Modi ji's guarantee and as soon as the government was formed, 18 lakh houses were approved under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, out of which more than 8 lakh have been completed. Decisions like purchase of 21 quintals of paddy per acre, payment of Rs 3100 per quintal, bonus payment, increase in tendu leaf rate and assistance of Rs 1000 per month to 70 lakh women under the Mahatari Vandan Yojana have brought about a concrete change in the lives of the common people.
During the Ujjwala Mahotsav in Bagicha, the Chief Minister inaugurated and performed groundbreaking ceremonies for 46 development works worth ₹110.47 crore, including the inauguration of 9 works worth ₹3.34 crore and the groundbreaking ceremony for 37 works worth ₹107.13 crore. These included the Podikhurd-Sulesha Danagari Ghat road, the Pandarapath Sanna Archery Academy campus, a high-level bridge over the Gherdewa River, a bridge on the Bagicha-Batauli road, the Kerapath-Gaybudha road, and several rural connectivity roads, which will boost connectivity and economic activity in the region.
On the occasion of the annual convention of All India Kanwar Samaj held in Pamshala village of Farsabahar development block, the Chief Minister inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of 12 development works costing Rs 12.22 crore, which included high-level bridge, rural roads, community hall, school beautification, temple approach road, hostel and SDM office building. He also made additional announcements of Rs 39 lakh for anicut on Ib river for expansion of Pamshala community hall, Rs 25 lakh for Kanwar Samaj Bhawan in Dhurudar and Rs 20 lakh for community hall in Pongrabahar. Earlier, the Chief Minister prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the state by offering prayers at Radha-Krishna temple in Pamshala.
The Chief Minister also inspected the Mangal Bhawan, which is being constructed at a cost of Rs 1 crore in Bagicha, in which a huge hall, stage, rooms, parking and modern facilities are being developed in 9,550 square feet, which will provide well-equipped facilities to the local citizens for marriage, social and public events. The Chief Minister said that the government is determined to ensure that facilities reach the last person and remote areas like Bastar-Sarguja also move forward strongly in the mainstream of development.
Chief Minister's wife Smt. Kaushalya Devi Sai, MLAs Smt. Raimuni Bhagat and Smt. Gomti Sai, former MLA Shri Bharat Sai, Chairman of Matikala Board Shri Shambhunath Chakravati, District Panchayat Chairman Shri Salik Sai, District Panchayat Vice Chairman Shri Shaurya Pratap Singh Judev along with many public representatives and a large number of common citizens were present in these programmes.
