Raipur: Prosperity for farmers, development of villages, and providing better facilities to citizens are the top priorities of the state government. With this resolve, the state government is implementing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's promises and writing new chapters of development and good governance in the state. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai made these remarks while addressing the Progressive Farmers' Conference and inauguration-bhoomipujan program held at the State High School grounds in Rajnandgaon today. Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh was specially present on the occasion.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai presented 333 development works worth more than Rs 510 crore 89 lakh to Rajnandgaon district. He also announced important works such as a suspension bridge from the Mohra Mela site to the oxygen zone of the Shivnath River, the construction and protection of the Ira Anicut, the construction of the Kumarda-Gendatola-Kallubanjari road, and the renovation of the Ghumaria diversion.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Rajnandgaon district has done remarkable work in the areas of crop rotation and water conservation. Farmers here have been encouraged to cultivate pulses, oilseeds, and other profitable crops alongside traditional farming, and positive results are visible.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that under the Krishak Unnati Yojana, starting from Kharif 2026, farmers who choose pulses, oilseeds, or other crops instead of paddy will be provided an input subsidy of Rs 15,000 per acre. This will encourage farmers to diversify their crops and increase their income.

The Chief Minister said that farmers are being provided financial security through the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, the Krishak Unnati Yojana, the paddy procurement at the support price, and other farmer-friendly schemes. The state government is also committed to providing farmers with the necessary fertilizers and seeds for farming in a timely manner.

He said that to strengthen good governance, the state government has launched the CM Helpline 1076, where citizens can register their problems and receive solutions within a stipulated timeframe. Similarly, through the e-district system, more than 400 services from various departments, including income, caste, and residence, are being made available at home.

The Chief Minister said that relief is being provided to needy consumers through the Chief Minister's Electricity Bill Settlement Scheme. The Prime Minister's Free Electricity Scheme is also seeking long-term relief from electricity bills for ordinary citizens. He urged people to install rooftop solar panels in their homes.

The Chief Minister said that the state government's goal is not only to build development projects, but also to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach every family. In accordance with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision, housing, electricity, water, road, and digital services are being rapidly expanded.

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that Padmashree Phoolbasan Bai Yadav traveled with women from a women's self-help group during the afternoons of April and May to raise awareness among farmers and villagers about crop rotation and water conservation, and a remarkable work was accomplished. The crop rotation in Rajnandgaon
has inspired farmers to diversify their crops.

During the event, an MoU was signed between the district administration and ABIS Exports for the purchase of soybean produce from farmers. Progressive farmers, Krishi Sakhi Didis, Sarpanchs, and Rural Agricultural Extension Officers were honored, and mini kits were distributed to farmers to promote crop diversification.

Raipur,Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai attended the Pragatisheel Kisan Sammelan held at the State High School Ground in Rajnandgaon on June 22. He also dedicated and laid the foundation stone for various development works for Rajnandgaon.

He stated that the prosperity of farmers, development of villages and provision of better public services remain the State Government’s highest priorities. He stated that the State Government is accelerating inclusive development and strengthening good governance across Chhattisgarh by effectively implementing Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s guarantees.

He dedicated and laid foundation stones for 333 development works worth more than Rs. 510.89 crore in Rajnandgaon district. He also announced several major projects, including a suspension bridge from Mohara Mela Site on the Shivnath River to the Oxygen Zone, construction and conservation works of the Era Anicut, construction of the Kumarda-Gendatola-Kallubanjari road, and renovation of the Ghumariya diversion structure.

He stated that Rajnandgaon district has achieved remarkable success in crop diversification and water conservation. Farmers have been encouraged to adopt pulses, oilseeds and other remunerative crops alongside traditional farming, and the results have been highly encouraging.

He announced that from the Kharif season of 2026, farmers opting for pulses, oilseeds or other crops in place of paddy under the Krishak Unnati Yojana will receive input assistance of Rs. 15,000 per acre. The initiative aims to promote crop diversification and increase farmers’ income.

He stated that economic security is being ensured for farmers through schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Krishak Unnati Yojana, paddy procurement at support price and other farmer-centric programmes. He added that the State Government remains committed to ensuring the timely availability of seeds and fertilisers required for cultivation.

To strengthen good governance, the government has launched the CM Helpline 1076, where citizens can register their grievances and receive resolutions within a fixed timeframe. Similarly, through the e-District system, more than 400 citizen services, including income, caste, and residence certificates, are now available online from home.

He stated that relief is being provided to eligible consumers through the Mukhya Mantri Bijli Bill Samadhan Yojana. Under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, efforts are also underway to provide long-term relief from electricity costs. He appealed to citizens to install rooftop solar systems in their homes.

He emphasised that the government’s objective is not only to create infrastructure but also to ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes reach every family. In line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision, rapid expansion of housing, electricity, drinking water, roads and digital services is being undertaken across the state.

Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh was also present at the programme. Addressing the people, he said that Padma Shri awardee Phoolbasan Bai Yadav, along with women members of self-help groups, travelled across villages during the summer months of April and May to create awareness about crop diversification and water conservation. Their efforts have inspired farmers in Rajnandgaon to adopt diversified cropping practices.

IIM Raipur organizes orientation program; Chief Minister's Good Governance Fellowship will prepare people-centric leaders

Raipur, As per the vision of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the orientation and inauguration program of MBA (Public Policy and Governance) 2026-28 batch was organized at IIM Raipur under the Chief Minister's Good Governance Fellowship, jointly operated by the Good Governance and Convergence Department of Chhattisgarh Government and Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur. Through this initiative, the youth of the state are being prepared for leadership roles in the fields of administrative efficiency, policy-making and public service.

36 talented youth will give new energy to good governance

Under the Chief Minister's Good Governance Fellowship Scheme, 36 talented youth selected from 19 districts of the state will be awarded a two-year MBA (Public Policy and Governance) degree. The selected fellows include 12 candidates from the Scheduled Tribe category and 4 from the Scheduled Caste category. This program will provide the state's youth with a grounded understanding of governance and develop them as transformative leaders.

Administrative experience will be gained along with academic studies.

During the fellowship, participants will receive high-level academic training at IIM Raipur for 5 months, while working in various departments and districts of the state government for 19 months to gain experience in policy making, program implementation, administrative innovation and practical aspects of good governance.

CM Shri Sai to flag off journey from Raipur railway station on Monday

Raipur, As part of the nationwide Somnath Swabhiman Parv, Chhattisgarh will arrange travel of 1,000 distinguished participants to Gujarat’s Somnath Dham on a special train for the five-day Somnath Swabhiman Cultural Yatra from June 22 to 26.

The journey will be flagged off from Raipur Railway Station at 11:00 AM on Monday by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai. Tourism, Culture & Religious Trusts Minister Shri Rajesh Agrawal will preside over the programme. Public representatives, including MPs, MLAs and the Mayor of Raipur, along with several eminent citizens to mark the occasion.

Somnath Swabhiman Parv symbolizes India’s enduring cultural consciousness and heritage that has preserved its faith and identity despite centuries of challenges. Organised under a national initiative of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, the programme aims to connect younger generations with the country’s cultural roots, spiritual legacy and national pride.

The delegation will comprise selected distinguished personalities from across Chhattisgarh, including Padma Shree awardees, nationally and internationally honoured artists, litterateurs, cultural practitioners, social workers and public representatives. The Yatra will also showcase the state’s folk traditions, cultural diversity and heritage at the national level. Participants will carry sacred soil and river water from their respective regions to Somnath, symbolising India’s cultural unity, spiritual harmony and national integration.

During the visit, participants will offer prayers at the Somnath Temple and take part in a range of cultural and religious activities. Temple visits, cultural performances, art tours and excursions to sites of historical and religious significance will form key attractions of the programme.

People from all walks of life performed group yoga exercises on International Yoga Day.

Raipur,  On the occasion of the 12th International Yoga Day, the citizens of the city practised yoga together in a district-level mass yoga programme. The State's Commerce, Industry and Labour Minister, Mr. Lakhanlal Dewangan, attended the district-level programme organised in the premises of the New Community Hall, Kanker, as the chief guest and participated in the mass yoga and practised various yoga postures. Amakoni gets the gift of development works worth Rs 28 lakh, inaugurated by Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma

Raipur, Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma reached village Amakoni of Tehsil Suhela on Sunday during his district tour. During this, giving a big gift to the villagers, he inaugurated the newly constructed community hall at a cost of Rs 10 lakh and prayer shed and compound constructed at a cost of Rs 18 lakh.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today inaugurated the Somnath Swabhiman Cultural Yatra by flagging off a special train to Somnath Jyotirlinga from the Raipur railway station. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the Somnath Temple is a major center of our national self-respect, cultural pride, and faith. The Somnath Temple was destroyed numerous times by invaders, but each time the temple was rebuilt, a result of the unwavering faith of the countrymen.

Under the Somnath Swabhiman Cultural Yatra, more than 1000 dignitaries, artists and litterateurs honored with Padmashree, state and national awards left for Somnath from Chhattisgarh by a special train. Devotees participating in the Yatra will offer earthen pots from the sacred land of Shiva temples of Chhattisgarh and water pots from holy rivers to Baba Somnath. Chief Minister Shri Sai prayed to Lord Somnath for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of Chhattisgarh.

Addressing the event, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that today is a very proud day for Chhattisgarh, as more than 1,000 devotees from across the state are leaving for the darshan of Lord Somnath. The Chief Minister said that today we reverently remember the Iron Man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who pledged to rebuild the Somnath Temple after India's independence as a symbol of national unity and cultural renaissance. 75 years ago, the country's first President, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, inaugurated the renovated Somnath Temple.

The Chief Minister said that it is a matter of pride for us that artists and litterateurs from Chhattisgarh, honored with Padma Shri, state and national awards, are embarking on this journey, carrying with them sacred soil from Shiva temples of religious, historical, and archaeological significance in their respective regions, and water pots from holy rivers. For this remarkable achievement, in a program organized at the Chief Minister's camp office in Bagiya, the State Head of Golden Book of World Records, Mrs. Sonal Rajesh Sharma, in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, presented the official certificate to Jashpur Forest Division. The Jashpur Forest Division organized a large-scale seedball propagation program in various areas of the district as part of the ambitious campaign, "Bring the Seed Balls, Enhance the Jashpur Forest." The campaign aims to strengthen environmental balance by conserving natural vegetation, enhancing biodiversity, and increasing green cover

The campaign's most significant feature was the widespread public participation. Local villagers, public representatives, students, women's self-help groups, social organizations, forest department officials and employees, and ordinary citizens participated enthusiastically. With the support of thousands of people, the campaign evolved into a mass movement, setting a new record by distributing over 200,000 seed balls in a single day.

Jashpur. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today inaugurated the district level innovative educational initiative of Jashpur district 'Jash Learn' from his residence Bagiya in Jashpur district. This program, which was run as a successful pilot project in Farsabahar development block, will now be expanded to all the development blocks of the district. Through this initiative, along with strengthening the basic mathematical skills of the students of primary classes, the learning process will be made more effective with the participation of teachers, parents and students.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that education is the strongest foundation for the development of any society and nation. This effort to provide quality education to children through modern technology and community participation is highly commendable. He said that when teachers, parents, and students work together, educational outcomes are more positive and lasting. Chief Minister Sai expressed confidence that the 'Jash Learn' program will play an important role in developing children's mathematical understanding, boosting their confidence, and bringing about qualitative improvements in learning.

During the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai had a cordial conversation with students Vandana Yadav, Navyata Yadav, Ayushi Tirki, and Kusum Dadsena, who benefited from the "Jash Learn" program. He asked the children what they learned from this program and how it benefited them in their studies.

Navyata Yadav, a Class 5 student from Jharmunda village, said that she has now memorized tables up to 20 and can easily solve mathematical problems like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Vandana Yadav, a student from Dhanpur, said that regular phone-based guidance and practice has increased her confidence in mathematics. Earlier, mathematics used to seem difficult, but now she has started enjoying studying. Expressing happiness on hearing the experiences of the children, the Chief Minister said that better learning outcomes can be achieved through the joint participation of technology, teachers and parents in education. Encouraging Results in Farsabahar: The
"Jash Learn" program was launched as a pilot project by the Jashpur District Administration in collaboration with Youth Impact in the Farsabahar development block. Under this program, selected students in grades 3 and 4 were regularly provided educational support via mobile phone by DIET Jashpur student-teachers.
Children's mathematical skills were assessed and they were provided step-by-step guidance on basic concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Active participation of parents was ensured in the program, ensuring children's continued learning at home. Shrishti, a student trainee at DIET Jashpur, explained that through this pilot project, which began in April 2026, children with math weaknesses were taught basic mathematical skills through regular phone calls in the presence of their parents. This provided children with the opportunity to learn at home in addition to school.

260 students benefited, 75% achieved proficiency.
Under the pilot project, 90 trainee student-teachers from DIET Jashpur provided mobile-based learning support to 260 students in the Farsabahar development block. The program's results were extremely positive, with approximately 75% of students achieving proficiency in addition, multiplication, division, and other basic mathematical operations. Significant improvements were observed in children's learning speed, mathematical understanding, and self-confidence.
"Jash Learn" will now reach all blocks in the district.
Given the success of the pilot project, the district administration has decided to implement the "Jash Learn" program in all blocks of Jashpur district. Special training will be provided to all CACs to ensure effective implementation. This initiative, based on the spirit of "Learn Together, Advance Together," is emerging as an inspiring and innovative model in the field of education in Jashpur district. The expansion of the program will benefit thousands of students in the district and strengthen their basic academic skills, furthering the goal of quality education.

in Kawardha. Setting an example of sensitive public service and prompt resolution, Deputy Chief Minister and Kawardha MLA Shri Vijay Sharma not only listened to the demand of a disabled beneficiary but also fulfilled it within a day. Shri Jivrakhan Patel, a disabled resident of village Ladnpur, had requested a scooter due to the difficulties he was facing in transportation and employment. Taking prompt action, he was provided with a scooter the very next day. Today, the Deputy Chief Minister presented the scooter to Jivrakhan Patel at the Kawardha MLA office.

The Deputy Chief Minister listened to his problem seriously and directed immediate necessary action. The result of his sensitive initiative was that within just one day, Jeevrakhan Patel was provided a scooty at the MLA office, Kawardha

. Expressing his gratitude to Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, he said that he runs a small photo framing shop at his home. Now, receiving the scooter will not only facilitate his personal transportation but also help him grow his business. This will enable him to become more self-reliant and expand his operations. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma congratulated Jivrakhan Patel and advised him to follow traffic rules while using the scooter, ensure his own safety and that of others, and regularly wear a helmet.

This is completely a social service, hence the responsibility of its operation was handed over to Maharashtra Mandal. MLA Moonat said that if a child is born in a poor family or a slum, it is not their fault. It is our responsibility to provide them with the same level of educational facilities as a child born in a wealthy or prosperous family, so that as they grow up, they do not develop any feelings of rich or poor. Children from poor families will be given full priority in admission to the high-tech Anganwadi. More than 50 percent of the children who come to study and play here will be from BPL families.
