Raipur - Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has wished the people of the state a happy Narak Chaturdashi and Chhoti Diwali. He said that a day before Diwali, Chhoti Diwali is celebrated on the Chaturdashi date of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month, it is celebrated as Narak Chaturdashi or Roop Chaudas.

It is believed that on this day Lord Krishna had killed Narakasura. The festival of Roop Chaudas is associated with beauty. Also, on this day, there is a tradition of worshiping Goddess Kali and Yama to remove the effects of negative powers.

The Chief Minister has said that on Chhoti Diwali, all the worries and sorrows in your lives get eliminated. May you all be blessed with happiness, prosperity, health and prosperity.
