Chief Minister honours Baiga, Gunia and Sirha community- the protectors of Tribal tradition : Tribal communities including Baiga, Gunia, Sirha will get honorarium of Rs 5,000 annually.

Jagdalpur : in order to honor and support the Tribal communities of Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai honored Baiga, Gunia and Sirha Tribal communities by giving them ‘shawl’ and coconut in a program organized at the Circuit House on Monday.

Highlighting these communities as the protectors of tribal tradition, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that traditional Tribal communities like Baiga, Gunia and Sirha will now be given honorarium of Rs 5,000 each year. This initiative is an important step towards promoting the cultural traditions of tribal society along with their economic empowerment.

“Government is committed to the preservation and development of the culture and traditions of tribal society. Such decisions will prove helpful in making the tribal areas of Chhattisgarh self-reliant and increasing their pride,” said Shri Sai. 

Chief Minister emphasized the importance of cherishing the traditions of the tribal community and making them partners in the development of the society. On this occasion, Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, MLA Jagdalpur Shri Kiran Deo, former MLA Mahesh Gagda and local public representatives were present.
