Naxalite Hidma, carrying a bounty of Rs 1 crore, and his wife were killed in an encounter in Sukma.
Sukma. Two separate encounters are currently underway in the border area of Sukma district, Chhattisgarh. The first encounter took place on the Chhattisgarh-Andhra Pradesh border, killing six Naxalites. Madvi Hidma, a Naxalite commander with a bounty of Rs. 1 crore, and Hidma's wife were also killed in the same encounter. Her photo has also surfaced. The second encounter is ongoing in the Errabor police station area of Sukma district. Several Naxalites were injured in the exchange of fire that occurred on the morning of November 18th. Security forces are still present at the scene and a search operation is ongoing. Bastar Inspector General Sundarraj P. confirmed the encounter and said that a very important information is emerging from the border area. While official confirmation and a formal announcement are awaited, initial indications suggest that this step could be a historic achievement for the country in eliminating left-wing extremism.
According to information received, police received information about a large number of Naxalites being present in the Errabor forest. Based on this information, DRG personnel were dispatched to the scene at night. Meanwhile, an encounter broke out between the police and Naxalites this morning. Subsequently, the soldiers took charge and retaliated against the Naxalite fire. A search operation is currently underway.
It is worth noting that Madvi Hidma, carrying a bounty of Rs 1 crore, was a resident of Poorvarti village in Sukma. He had joined the Naxalite organization since childhood. His plans had also led to significant successes for the Naxalite organization. He previously served in the Area Committee, DVCM (Divisional Committee Member), and then the DKSZC (Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee) cadre. He was also the commander of Battalion No. 1 of the Naxalites. Confirmed information, along with his photograph, has been received that he was killed in an encounter on the Chhattisgarh-Andhra Pradesh border.
