Raipur: Industry Minister Shri Lakhanlal Devangan and Mayor Smt. Sanjudevi Rajput inaugurated the lighting work done by the corporation at Budhwari Foot Overbridge, while also inaugurated energy efficient electric heaters at the old age home located near Niharika Subhash Chowk and Sarvamangala Temple. Mayor in Council member Ajay Gond, councilors Pankaj Devangan, Rakesh Verma, Narendra Patanwar, Akash Srivastava, Vaibhav Sharma, Executive Engineer Rakesh Masih, Assistant Engineer Vipin Mishra etc. along with other citizens were present on this occasion.

It is worth mentioning here that Nagar Palika Nigam Korba had earlier constructed a foot over bridge on the main road to reach the parking lot located on the other side of the road from Budhwari Bazaar, but there was lack of lighting system on the foot over bridge. Due to darkness on the bridge at night, the bridge was not used and there was a possibility of anti-social elements carrying out wrong activities on the bridge. The corporation has installed colour lights while providing adequate lighting system on the said over bridge. On Thursday night, Industry Minister Mr. Lakhanlal Devangan and Mayor Mrs. Sanjudevi Rajput inaugurated the said lighting system. As soon as they switched it on, the entire foot over bridge lit up with lights of different colours.

Electric heating heaters inaugurated at Subhash Chowk and Old Age Home

Industry Minister Mr. Lakhanlal Devangan and Mayor Smt. Sanjudevi Rajput inaugurated energy efficient electric heaters at Subhash Chowk in Niharika and at the old age home near Sarvamangala Temple. It is noteworthy that in a commendable initiative by Municipal Corporation Korba, to provide relief to people from this biting cold, electric and energy efficient electric heaters are being installed at the main squares, public places, old age homes, shelters, night shelters etc. in the city. In this series, energy efficient electric heaters were inaugurated by Industry Minister Mr. Devangan and Mayor Smt. Rajput at Subhash Chowk on Thursday night.

The corporation's commendable work 

On this occasion, Industry Minister Shri Lakhanlal Devangan said that under the guidance of Mayor Smt. Sanjudevi Rajput, Municipal Corporation Korba has taken a very commendable step by installing electric heaters at the intersections, public places, old age homes, shelters and night shelters of the city, due to which the commuting citizens, the needy, the people staying in shelters and night shelters and our elders living in old age homes will get relief from this chilling cold, I congratulate Mayor Smt. Rajput and the corporation administration for this work in public interest.
