Tourism and Culture Minister Rajesh Agarwal met the saints at Triveni Sangam.
Raipur - State Tourism and Culture Minister Shri Rajesh Agrawal reached the banks of Triveni Sangam on the auspicious occasion of Rajim Kumbh Kalpa 2026 and had a cordial meeting with the revered religious leaders, saints and lakhs of devotees from various Akharas and Peethas. He thoroughly inspected all the arrangements of the Kumbh and instructed the officials that the devotees should not face any kind of inconvenience. Minister Shri Agrawal met the revered saints of various Akharas at the Kumbh site and took their blessings. The saints appreciated the grandeur of the Kumbh and praised the efforts of the state government. He also interacted with the devotees, listened to their problems and gave instructions for their immediate solution.
Minister Shri Agarwal, who visited the stall of the National Rural Livelihood Mission "Bihan," personally interacted with the sisters of the group. He tasted Chhattisgarhi dishes such as cheela, fara, and thethri prepared by the sisters and praised their skills wholeheartedly. Shri Agarwal said that the hard work of the Bihan sisters is not only strengthening their financial situation, but also bringing Chhattisgarh's cultural heritage to the world stage at global events like the Rajim Kumbh.
The Minister visited the stalls of tribal artefacts made of bamboo and wood and met the local artisans. He closely appreciated the sculptures, showpieces and useful items and also made purchases to encourage them. Shri Agarwal said that the State Government will promote local handicrafts at the national level through Rajim Kumbh. Minister Shri Agarwal also inspected the life-like replica of Ramvanagaman Path made at the Rajim Kumbh site. This replica, depicting the mythological Ramvanagaman Path of Chhattisgarh through paintings and sculptures, has become a centre of attraction among the devotees. Shri Agarwal praised the intricacy and artistry of the replica.
The Minister reviewed other arrangements for the Rajim Kumbh Kalpa 2026, including water supply, sanitation, medical facilities, transportation, and security, and issued instructions to the concerned officials. He ensured that the lakhs of devotees did not face any inconvenience. MLA Shri Rohit Sahu, Gariaband Collector Shri B.S. Uikey, SDM Shri Vishal Maharana, and officials from the Gariaband District Administration and the Tourism and Culture Department were present on the occasion. Rajim Kumbh Kalpa 2026 has become a living symbol of Chhattisgarh's eternal traditions, with lakhs of devotees bathing at the Triveni Sangam. Under the leadership of Tourism Minister Shri Rajesh Agrawal, the event is shining not only as a religious but also as a cultural and economic festival.
