Governor and Chief Minister inspected road upgradation work in Keshkal, gave instructions for quality construction

Draupadi Murmu, Chhattisgarh Governor Shri Ramen Deka and Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai left for Jagdalpur by road from Raipur on Friday. During the inspection, Chief Minister Shri Sai inspected the ongoing renovation work on National Highway-30 in Keshkal city area. During the inspection, the Chief Minister took stock of the quality, progress and current status of the road construction work. Directing the concerned officials, he stated that National Highway-30 is a major route connecting the Bastar division to the capital Raipur and other states, and therefore, any negligence in construction work will not be acceptable. He clarified that the road construction work must be completed with high quality and in accordance with the prescribed standards. Chief Minister Sai directed the Collector to ensure that the construction of the Keshkal bypass, along with the Keshkal town, is completed within the stipulated timeframe with utmost quality and to ensure regular monitoring of the construction work, so that the general public can have easy and safe travel. Governor Shri Ramen Deka and Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai then reached Kondagaon, where they visited the Mor Suad Didi kitchen, run by women from a self-help group under the Bihan Yojana. The women from the Bihan group extended a traditional and warm welcome to the Governor and Chief Minister. The Governor and Chief Minister tasted the local dishes, Fara and Angakar Roti. Chief Minister Shri Sai obtained information from the women of the group about their income and activities and directed Collector Smt. Nupur Rashi Panna to continuously encourage the women of the self-help group for livelihood empowerment and provide them necessary support. He said that such efforts strengthen the economic self-reliance of rural women. During this, the Chief Minister observed the paintings of the folk artists of the district and interacted with the artists and appreciated their creative efforts. On this occasion, Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu, Bastar MP Shri Mahesh Kashyap, Kondagaon MLA Ms. Lata Usendi along with other public representatives and officials were present.
