Raipur. On Saturday evening, a speeding truck hit a factory worker riding a motorcycle at the Avinash Logistics Park in the Silatara Industrial Area. The injuries were so severe that he died before reaching the hospital. The incident occurred in the Dharsiwa police station area.
The deceased has been identified as Bodhiram Chauhan (33), a resident of village Bichhiya, Saraipali. He had been working at Shriram Plast (a pipe manufacturing unit) in Silatara for the past three years. On Saturday evening, he left the factory premises on his motorcycle (CG 04 CT 8965) for some urgent work when a truck (CG 04 J 5043) hit him hard. He suffered serious head injuries. The factory supervisor and other employees immediately rushed him to the Shaheed Yogendra Sharma Government Community Health Center, where doctors declared him dead after examination.Bodhiram was reportedly the younger of two brothers. His elder brother had died in a road accident a few years earlier. Since then, he had been the family's sole breadwinner. His elderly parents—62-year-old mother Ganeshi Bai and 69-year-old father Hemlal Chauhan—are now completely helpless. His wife, Padmini Chauhan (30), and three young children, Karuna (8), Khileswari (6), and Rohan (3), have also lost their support. This sudden tragedy has left the entire family in deep shock.
