Raipur. Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company was awarded the national honour at the Indian Power Station (O&M) Conference. Outstanding achievements in the power sector were honoured during the Indian Power Station Operation and Maintenance Conference organised by NTPC in Raipur. In the programme organised at Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in the capital, Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Thermal Power Station, (DSPM) Korba East, operated under the Generation Company, was awarded the best performing power station award for the year 2024-25.

This prestigious award was received by the company's Managing Director, S.K. Katiyar. Dr. Rohit Yadav, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Power Companies, was specially present on this proud occasion. This award is a symbol of the station's excellent production, high efficiency, and reliable operation. The conference discussed in detail topics such as the quality of power generation, reliability of supply, efficiency of thermal power stations, and future renewable energy and energy conservation. Representatives and experts from power generation organizations across the country were present on this occasion.
