Raipur . An important initiative is underway in Jashpur district to provide digital services to villagers at the village level. All 44 cooperative societies in Jashpur district will be developed as Common Service Centers (CSCs) in a phased manner. This will eliminate the need for villagers to travel to cities for various government, banking, and digital services.

A special training workshop was held in the auditorium of the Jashpur District Panchayat on the operation of Common Service Centers and the expansion of digital services. At the workshop, State Project Manager Mr. Surendra Kumar Das, who came from Raipur, provided detailed information to the officials of the Cooperative Department, committee managers, computer operators and employees about the operation of CSCs, the expansion of digital services and the effective implementation of services through LAMPS.

It was told in the training that through CSC, more than 20 digital facilities including Aadhaar based services, payment of electricity and water bills, mobile and DTH recharge, banking and insurance services, digital payments, farmer beneficiary services and various e-governance services will be made available to rural citizens at one place.

The meeting also informed that 20 new cooperative societies have been formed in Jashpur district following the PACS Reorganization 2025. The state government's priority is to develop these societies into multipurpose service centers, which will enhance their efficiency, develop additional sources of income, and ensure that villagers have easy access to quality services at the local level.
