Under the leadership of CM Vishnudev Sai, continuous effective efforts are being made in Chhattisgarh to give the form of a mass movement to environmental protection and public participation. Under the inspiration of PM Narendra Modi, tree plantation is being done on a large scale across the state under the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 3.0" campaign. In this series, on the occasion of Van Mahotsav, a massive tree plantation program was organized by the Forest and Climate Change Department in the Government Higher Secondary School, Navagaon (Pendra) of Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district.

The chief guest of the program, Marwahi MLA Pranav Kumar Marpachchi, flagged off the ATM Tree vehicle with the aim of delivering saplings to every area of ​​the district. He said that the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" campaign started by PM Modi is not limited to tree plantation only, but is a pledge for nature conservation, public participation and a secure future for future generations. He said that environmental protection will play a very important role in building a developed India by the year 2047. He called upon all citizens to plant as many saplings as possible, take care of them and play an active role in creating a green and clean environment. On this occasion, he also administered the oath of environmental protection to the people present.

During the program, MLA Pranav Kumar Marpachchi announced the construction of a bicycle stand for the convenience of students at the school. District Council member Purnima Paikra announced ₹5 lakh for the construction of a prayer shed at the school. District Panchayat President Sameera Paikra said that the "One Tree in the Name of Mother" campaign sends an inspiring message of responsibility towards nature. She urged every citizen to plant at least one tree and pledge to protect it.

At the event, MLA Pranav Kumar Marpachchi planted almonds, District Panchayat President Samira Paikra planted amla, Collector Vijay Dayaram K. planted mango, and Divisional Forest Officer Grishmi Chand planted kadam. Public representatives, officials, students, and citizens also planted fruit and shade trees of various species, spreading the message of environmental protection.

District Panchayat Vice President Raja Upendra Bahadur, Pendra Municipal Council President Rakesh Jalan, District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Mukesh Raote, Sarpanch Naresh Paikra along with public representatives, officers-employees, teachers, NCC, Scout-Guide students and a large number of local citizens were present in the program.
