Bijapur. A mass listening session for the 136th edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Mann Ki Baat" was held on Sunday in Jaigoor village of Darbha Gram Panchayat, located in the interior Bhairamgarh development block of the district. A large number of villagers gathered to hear the Prime Minister's message. The program offered messages of patriotism, public participation, environmental protection, and development.
Prime Minister Modi began his address on Kargil Vijay Diwas by paying tribute to the country's brave martyrs. Saluting the valor and sacrifice of the soldiers, he emphasized self-reliant India, indigenous defense production, and public participation. The Prime Minister called for making the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" campaign for environmental protection a mass movement. He called for promoting innovation and scientific thinking among the youth. He also praised the water conservation work being done in Korba district of Chhattisgarh.
6 beneficiaries received forest rights certificates
At the event, Forest and Climate Change Minister and Bijapur District In-Charge Minister Kedar Kashyap distributed individual forest rights certificates to six beneficiaries. He stated that it is a collective responsibility to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person in society. By receiving the forest rights certificates, beneficiaries gained legal rights to their land.
Felicitation of successful students in NEET-2026
Minister Kashyap honored the students who successfully passed NEET 2026 and encouraged them. He encouraged the youth to move forward through education and hard work.
Launch of 'Tiranga in every home' campaign
The minister presented the national flag to villagers, launching the "Tiranga in Every Home" campaign. He also planted trees under the "One Tree in the Name of Mother" campaign and urged people to regularly care for the plants.
Former Minister Mahesh Gagda, District Panchayat President Janaki Korsa, District Panchayat Member Mathias Kujur, public representatives, villagers, and officials from various departments were present at the event. The event concluded with a pledge of patriotism, environmental protection, and a developed India.
