4 new industrial parks to be developed in Chhattisgarh
State level committee meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary
Raipur, July 29, 2026/ To promote industrial development and create new employment opportunities in Chhattisgarh, the state government has taken the important decision to develop four new industrial parks (manufacturing clusters). The proposal was formally approved at a meeting of the State-Level Committee on Industrial Development Planning under the Industries and Commerce Department, chaired by Chief Secretary Vikasshiil.
Manufacturing clusters will be built in these 4 districts
During the second meeting of the committee, proposals for setting up industrial parks in four districts of the state were discussed in detail and approved. Approval was given to proposals for setting up Special Manufacturing Cluster in Rajnandgaon district, Patewa, Multi Sector Manufacturing Cluster in Dhamtari district, Dhumrapali, Multi Sector Manufacturing Cluster in Janjgir-Champa district, Salkhan and Multi Sector Manufacturing Cluster in Bastar district, Industrial Park in Niynar.
Joint initiative of the Central and State Government
The Bharat Industrial Scheme is an ambitious central government scheme, which the Chhattisgarh government has effectively implemented as part of its industrial development policy. A state-level committee has been formed to ensure the smooth operation of the scheme and timely approvals for various projects in the state.
The meeting was attended by senior officers of key departments of the State including Dr. Rohit Yadav (Secretary, Finance Department), Shri Ankit Anand (Secretary, Housing & Environment Department), Shri Rajat Kumar (Secretary, Commerce & Industry Department), Dr. Saransh Mittal (Secretary, Energy Department), Ms. Iffat Ara (Special Secretary, Revenue & Disaster Management Department) and senior officers of other concerned departments.
