Chief Minister Interacts with NEET 2026 Qualified Students from Eklavya Model Residential Schools

Raipur, July , 2026/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai interacted with students from Eklavya Model Residential Schools who qualified in NEET 2026 during the Eklavya Samvad programme held at the Chief Minister’s residence office in Raipur on July 28. Congratulating the students on their remarkable achievement, he said their success is not only a personal milestone but also a matter of pride for Chhattisgarh, particularly the tribal community. He said the students had proved that talent flourishes when supported by opportunity, resources and determination.

The Chief Minister said the greatest mantra for success is consistent practice and self-confidence. Referring to the legacy of Eklavya, he said that despite difficult circumstances, Eklavya attained excellence in archery through discipline, dedication and perseverance. He urged the students to pursue their goals with the same commitment and encouraged them to study hard, move ahead and contribute to building a developed Chhattisgarh.

Quoting Saint Kabir’s famous couplet, “Guru Govind Dou Khade…”, Shri Sai highlighted the importance of teachers, saying they show the right path through knowledge. He urged students to always respect their teachers and use their education for the welfare of society.

The Chief Minister said the Government of India is operating Eklavya Model Residential Schools across the country, and Chhattisgarh is proud to have these institutions providing quality education and modern facilities to tribal students. He said success in a competitive examination like NEET reflects the hard work of students, the blessings of parents and the dedication of teachers, and congratulated both parents and teachers on the achievement.

Describing the medical profession as one of the most respected in society, Shri Sai urged the aspiring doctors to become not only skilled professionals but also compassionate, humble and sensitive individuals. He said empathy and courteous behaviour are as important as medical expertise in treating patients.

He said the education sector in Chhattisgarh has witnessed significant transformation. He noted that while the state had only one medical college at the time of its formation, it now has 15 medical colleges, with five new government medical colleges being established to expand medical education. He added that students now have access to premier institutions such as IIT, IIIT, the National Law University and the Central University, along with scholarships, education loans and financial assistance under the Chief Minister’s discretionary grant.

He informed students that the Tribal Youth Hostel in Delhi has been expanded from 50 to 200 seats, offering free accommodation, meals and coaching for UPSC, medical and engineering entrance examinations. He noted that 13 students from the hostel had qualified for the UPSC Preliminary Examination this year. He also said 34 Nalanda campuses have been established across the state, providing round-the-clock facilities for competitive examination preparation, while children of labourers receive financial assistance of up to Rs. 2 lakh annually for higher education, and eligible students pursuing studies abroad are also supported by the government.
