Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of Forest Force inspected the Bhairav Pahar and Environmental Gardens of Jashpur

00 Raipur instructed to give priority to natural heritage, tribal culture and environmental protection . Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of Forest Force Shri Arun Pandey today inspected the important natural, religious and ecological sites of the district during his visit to Jashpur. He reviewed the possibilities of conservation and development of these places and gave necessary guidelines to the authorities.
Forest Force Chief Mr. Arun Pandey visited the site of Bhairav Pahar located in Manora Development Block. He learned about the natural beauty, religious importance and local tribal traditions and cultural beliefs of this region. He directed the officials that the development of Bhairav Pahar should be done in accordance with local tribal traditions, natural features and beliefs associated with Sogra Ashram. He said that preservation of natural beauty and local culture should be the highest priority while maintaining environmental balance in development works. Also, the possibilities of developing this place as a coordinated center of nature, faith and tribal culture were also discussed.After this Mr. Pandey inspected the environmental garden constructed in village Bagia of Kansabel forest area. He observed the activities related to plantation, green area development and environment protection. He directed that the environmental garden should be developed as an effective center for environmental awareness and nature education for the local community, students and general citizens. Also, special emphasis was placed on conservation of local and useful species of plants, better maintenance and promotion of environmental awareness programs.
Forest Force chief Shri Pandey said that Jashpur district's natural wealth, biodiversity, tribal culture and religious beliefs are its distinctive features. Therefore, priority should be given to environment protection and local traditions in the development of all these heritage sites. He directed the officials that the development of places like Bhairav Pahar, Hanuman Tekri and Pravyan Vatika should be done in a nature-based, environment-friendly and public participation model. This will provide employment and tourism opportunities to the local people and will also increase awareness towards environmental protection.
Chief Conservator of Forests of Sarguja circle Mr. Dilraj Prabhakar, Divisional Officer Balrampur Mr. Alok Vajpayee, Divisional Officer Jashpur Mr. Shashi Kumar, Deputy Divisional Officer of Jashpur Forest Division, Zoning Officer and other officers and employees of the Forest Department were present on this occasion.
