Raids on food establishments near Raipur railway station: 2 biryani centres sealed, harmful colour found in chicken biryani
Raipur. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) conducted a surprise inspection of hotels, restaurants, and biryani centers near the Raipur railway station. The inspection revealed negligence in cleanliness and food safety standards at several establishments, leading the department to seal two biryani centers.
During the inspection, officials found that the "New Sagar Biryani Center" was operating without a food registration. The department took immediate action, sealing the establishment after finding violations.
Another biryani center was also sealed after excessive filth was found there. The inspection team inspected the kitchen, food storage, and food preparation processes, revealing several serious deficiencies.
Most shockingly, the investigation also revealed the use of harmful dyes in the chicken biryani. After examining food samples, officials have initiated action against the establishment.
Similarly, several deficiencies were found at "RJ Rajasthani Thali." However, no sealing action was taken there. The department reprimanded the operator and directed him to improve the arrangements as soon as possible. A notice regarding the improvements was also issued.
Following this action by the Food and Drug Administration, hotel and restaurant owners on Station Road were alarmed. Department officials have clarified that similar campaigns will continue against establishments that do not comply with food safety standards. The health of travelers and the general public will not be compromised.
