ED raid: ED raids the premises of liquor scam accused Ram Gopal Agarwal
ED RAID: Dhamtari. Congress leader Ram Gopal Agarwal, accused in the ₹3,000 crore liquor scam, is once again in the news. This time, an eight-member Enforcement Directorate (ED) team raided his premises in Dhamtari. While forces are deployed outside his home, team members are examining documents inside.
Let us tell you that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrested Congress leader Ram Gopal Agarwal from Raipur Central Jail last Tuesday, after which the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court of Raipur sent him to ED custody for seven days on Tuesday.
The investigating agency alleges that Ram Gopal Agarwal was involved in laundering funds related to the liquor scam, coal levy, and custom milling. It is alleged that he transferred large amounts of the scam money. The ED is now investigating the whereabouts of the money.
