CHHATTISGARH: Chhattisgarh Police cornered in High Court over arrest!

Bilaspur: An arrest by Chhattisgarh police has been challenged in the Bilaspur High Court. It is alleged that Nischint Vats, who was taken into custody from Shamli in Uttar Pradesh on June 29th, was not taken on transit remand and was taken directly to Ambikapur.
The petition claims that he was produced before a magistrate in Ambikapur on June 30 and remanded. The High Court has now issued a notice to the state government, seeking a response within two week
The petitioner has challenged his arrest and subsequent judicial custody and sought his immediate release. The picture of the case will become clearer only after the court's response.
