CHHATTISGARH: Press conference of School Education Minister, know what he said…

Raipur. School Education Department Minister Gajendra Yadav and Secretary Dr. Kamalpreet Singh held a joint press conference today at 1 pm on the department's activities and achievements. During the conference, the minister provided detailed information about the department's achievements and upcoming plans. Read below.

rationalization

1. Consolidation of 10538 schools as per the provisions mentioned in the National Education Policy-2020 and the Right to Education Act-2009.

2. Adjustment of 15165 teachers and principals through rationalization.

3. Provision of teachers in 453 teacherless schools.

4. Recruitment of teachers in 4729 single teacher schools.

5. Focus on infrastructural development, reimbursement of school complex concept, availability of teachers,

6. Control in educational administration.

promotion of teachers

1. Promotion of teachers after 2017-18.

2. Promotion of Principals on total 2813 posts, 1335 in “T Cadre” and 1478 in “E Cadre”.

3. Promotion of total 1798 lecturers in “T Cadre”.

4. In the last two years, more than 7000 promotions from Assistant Teacher to Head Teacher (Primary School), Assistant Teacher to Teacher and Teacher to Head Teacher (Secondary School).

5. Adjustment of 2621 B.Ed. qualified assistant teachers as assistant teachers (science laboratory).

6. Transparency in posting process through online counselling.

Teacher Recruitment

1. A total of 848 posts of special educators for disabled boys and girls have been approved.

2. Appointment through direct recruitment on a total of 62 posts of Special Educator in 2025.

3. Appointment through direct recruitment on 2104 educational posts in the last two years.

4. Direct recruitment examinations are underway for 5,000 teaching positions. (Assistant Teachers – 2,292, Assistant Teacher Lecturers – 854), Laboratory Assistants – 200, Teachers – 1,654, and

5. Apart from this, contract recruitment process is underway for more than 3000 posts in Swami Atmanand and Vivekananda schools.

Conduct of Computer Based Examination

1. Start of state level online computer based test (Computer Based Test & CBT) for recruitment to academic and non-academic contract posts in Swami Atmanand Excellence School, Swami Vivekananda Excellence School and other government institutions.

2. Director of Public Education is authorized to select the competent agency for the selection process.

3. Examination agency selected through GEM tender, work order issued.

4. Contract recruitment process is underway for 1895 posts for Swami Atmanand Excellence School and 1171 posts for Swami Vivekananda Excellence School, totaling 3066 posts.

5. The result of State Level Online Computer Based Test (CBT) will be declared within 1 week.

6. CBT process will bring transparency in the examination and the examination results will be available in less time, as a result the students will benefit from the appointment of contract teachers.

New academic session and timetable

1. Creation of a uniform academic timetable for the operation of all schools in 2026-27.

2. Sports timetable and excursion timetable issued separately for all the schools of the state.

3. Apart from the academic curriculum, sports and yoga, moral education, sanskar education should be made effective in the timetable.

4. As per the Central Board of Secondary Education, it was decided to start the next academic session 2027-28 from 01 April 2027.

Text book writing

1. NEP2020 implemented in schools from 15th July 2024.

2. Barhakhadi was included in the Hindi subject of class 1 and 2.

3. Production of textbooks for classes 1 and 2 in 16 local languages ​​and 4 interstate languages.

4. Adaptation of NCERT textbooks (Hindi and English medium) for all subjects of classes 1, 2, 3 and 6.

5. Syllabus prepared by NCERT New Delhi is followed in class 11th and 12th.

6. Focus on multilingual education in the state.

7. Textbook preparation as per the national curriculum.

8. Writing of supplementary reading book for students of classes 3 to 8.

9. For the general knowledge of the students, helpful reading material has been prepared for information about festivals, local dialect, great men, tourist places, mineral wealth, forest wealth of Chhattisgarh state.

Multilingual education

1. It is the first state in the country to do language mapping.

2. In the session 2025-26, 2700 primary school teachers and porta cabin instructors and teachers of the district will be trained on “Use of child's language in the classroom” in Bastar division.

3. Implemented in all primary schools in the districts of Surguja, Balrampur, Surajpur, Jashpur, and Korea in the Surguja division from the 2025-26 session. 2,368 teachers have been trained in the Surguja division.

4. In Jashpur district, 70-75 percent of children in the Kunkuri and Bagicha blocks have Sadri as their home language. Approximately the same percentage of teachers are able to speak and work in Sadri. Based on this, supporting materials (big books, picture posters, poem posters, and story collections) were developed.

5. Preparation of textbooks for classes 1 to 3 as per medium of instruction in Chhattisgarhi, Gondi, Halbi, Sadri is in process.

6. Work is underway to include Chhattisgarhi as an independent subject in textbooks from class 4 to 12.

online attendance

1. To ensure regular attendance of teachers in schools.

2. Strengthening academic discipline.

3. Aadhaar based biometric attendance in departmental offices.

4. Teachers and staff attendance in VSK mobile app for coming and going to school.

5. Daily attendance of approximately 85% teachers online through VSK App.

6. Not to impose unnecessary control on any employee, but to protect the interests of the students by ensuring regular teaching system in the schools.

technology-based innovation

1. Enhancement of administrative efficiency and effectiveness through I Got Karmayogi Portal.

2. 195818 Teachers/Employees/Officers registered in the portal.

3. Leave Management Portal for simplification and digitization of leave process.

4. Stop visiting offices for leave and work will be paperless.

5. The accountability of the accepting officer will also be fixed.

6. Entry of immovable property details in the online portal.

De-regulation for setting up of private schools

1. Expansion of education, encouragement of investment in the field of education.

2. Promote educational opportunities in line with global competition.

3. Simplification of minimum land requirement, endowment fund and other regulations.

4. Increase in the number of quality schools.

5. Its direct benefit to children.

Free Text Book Scheme

1. Initiative to provide textbooks to students studying from class 1 to 10 before the commencement of the session.

2. 4533261 students benefited.

3. Distribution and verification of books through scanning.

4. Control on wastage of text books.

5. Publication of textbooks in 16 dialects besides Hindi and English.

Free Saraswati Cycle Scheme

1. Distribution to newly admitted girls of class 9th of government and aided schools.

2. Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and BPL Eligible beneficiary girls from the family are beneficiaries.

3. Initiative to provide free bicycles before the commencement of the education session.

4. Initiative to expand eligibility by making it more comprehensive.

5. 162827 girls benefited in the session 2026-26.

Free Uniform Supply Scheme

1. Initiative to provide free uniforms to students from class 1st to 8th before the commencement of the academic session.

2. Distribution of check shirts, grey pants and tunics with new attractive colours.

3. 2863786 children benefited in the session 2026-26.

increase in exam results

1. Meeting and guidance of all education officers at division level before the examination by the Education Minister.

2. Creation and teaching of blue print.

3. Organizing parent teacher meeting.

4. Conducting the much awaited centralized examination of 5th and 8th.

5. Increase of about 2 percent in the examination results of class 10th and 12th for the session 2025-26.

Indian method of chanting mantras

1. Organizing chanting activities for intellectual and mental development.

2. Organising chanting activities to make people aware of ancient culture and traditions.

3. Diagnosis of throat related problems of students through chanting of mantras.

4. Increase in positive thinking among students.

5. Chanting of mantras brings positive energy to the students.

Saturday Bagless Day

1. Students will study in a stress and fear free environment every Saturday.

2. To be made aware of the local art and cultural traditions of the country and the state.

3. Emphasis on mental and physical development of students through sports, yoga and exercise.

4. To make students aware of the birth anniversaries of great men, festivals and historical dates.

5. Continuous development of students through speeches, essays, songs, stories and folk tales.

building construction

1. Approval of a total of 504 new schools in the last three years.

2. Provision for new schools for 700 building-less schools in the budget for the financial year 2026-27.

3. Approval of 2583 new additional rooms between the years 2023 to 2026.

4. Over the past three years, an amount of ₹52.39 crore has been approved for the construction and repair of school toilets. Additionally, 302 toilets have been completed under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (Comprehensive Education) scheme over the past three years.

5. Budgetary provision of Rs 5 crore for construction of buildings for establishment of Education City in Orchha (District Narayanpur) and Jagargunda (District Sukma).

6. Under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, 30 primary school and 11 upper primary school buildings have been approved from the financial year 2023-24 to 2025-26.

7. Approval has been given for construction of 450 additional rooms.

8. Rs 20.61 crore released for essential works of buildings in the financial year 2026-27.

Swami Vivekananda Excellence School Scheme

1. A total provision of Rs. 100 crore for building construction and operation of 150 Swami Vivekananda Utkrisht Vidyalayas in the budget for the financial year 2026-27.

2. Emphasis on promotion of schools similar to PM Shree Vidyalayas.

3. To establish at least one Swami Vivekananda Excellence School in each development block.

4. To prepare students for future challenges.

5. There will be provision for study from class 1st to 12th.

Niyyad Nellanaar

1. Primary schools established in 97% villages of 06 districts of Bastar division under Niyyad Nellanar.

2. Primary schools in all 3791 villages through 5016 primary schools as per the standards of holistic education.

3. 13817 teachers trained through bilingual books in Bastar division.

4. Education is being provided in teacherless and single teacher schools through 573 Shikshadoots.

5. 48 schools closed due to zero enrollment and Maoist incidents have been reopened.

6. 36 new schools have been opened.

7. 60 porta cabins proposed to be converted into residential PM Shri Vidyalayas.
