Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai will present State Sports Awards to 82 players, coaches and judges.
Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai will present State Sports Awards to 82 players, coaches and referees on National Sports Day, August 29, the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. He will also give the Chief Minister's Trophy to 43 players and coaches from 5 teams. The Sports and Youth Welfare Department has organized the State Sports Awards ceremony at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in the capital Raipur on August 29 from 4 pm.
A total of 125 outstanding players, coaches, and judges will be presented with awards and honors for the years 2023-24, 2024-25, and 2025-26 at the State Sports Awards ceremony. These include the Martyr Rajiv Pandey Award, Martyr Kaushal Yadav Award, Veer Hanuman Singh Award, Martyr Pankaj Vikram Award, Martyr Vinod Choubey Award, and the Chief Minister's Trophy.
Deputy Chief Minister and Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Arun Saw will preside over the State Sports Awards Ceremony. Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs Tokhan Sahu, Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma will attend as special guests. All members of the State Cabinet, MP Brijmohan Agrawal, Chairman of the State Youth Commission Vishwa Vijay Singh Tomar, all MLAs of Raipur district, Mayor Meenal Choubey and District Panchayat Chairman Naveen Kumar Agrawal will attend the ceremony as special guests.
