Naveen performed puja at ISKCON temple on the occasion of Janmashtami.
New Delhi . Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Naveen offered prayers at the ISKCON temple in East of Kailash on Friday on the occasion of Janmashtami and prayed for happiness, prosperity and peace for the countrymen. Naveen was welcomed by priests upon reaching the ISKCON temple.
During this, Delhi BJP President and Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra, Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Chugh and Lok Sabha MP Bansuri Swaraj along with other leaders were present.
After offering prayers to Lord Krishna, Mr. Naveen said, "Lord Krishna is our favorite deity and has always been the bearer of our nation, eternal traditions, and culture. Lord Krishna has dedicated his entire life to destroying unrighteousness and establishing righteousness. We embrace and assimilate his life in that way. May the blessings of Lord Krishna continue to flow to all Indians and the entire Hindu community."
He said, "Today, on the occasion of Janmashtami, we have all come to this sacred ISKCON temple to pay our respects to Lord Krishna. We pray to God that all our fellow citizens, all our Hindus and followers of the Sanatan tradition, may have peace and happiness in their lives, and that, with the blessings of Lord Krishna, India may continue to prosper as it did in earlier times."
