Tourism and Culture Minister Shri Rajesh Agrawal reviews preparations for 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan';
various events to be held across the state from September 17 to October 17

Raipur, September 2026/ On the occasion of completion of 25 years of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's tenure, preparations have been intensified to make the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, to be organised across the state from 17 September to 17 October 2026, effective with extensive public participation. In this sequence, Tourism and Culture Minister Shri Rajesh Agrawal today conducted a detailed review of the activities to be undertaken by the Tourism and Culture Department under the Abhiyan at his residence office in Naya Raipur and gave necessary guidelines to the officials. Secretary Dr. S. Bharatidasan, Tourism and Culture, Chhattisgarh Government, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Shri Saumil Ranjan Choubey, Director of Culture Department Dr. Sanjay Kannauje and departmental officials were present in the meeting.

While reviewing the preparations for the campaign, Minister Shri Agarwal said that the "Seva Sankalp Abhiyan" is not just an event, but a comprehensive opportunity to strengthen citizens' faith in public service, public participation, and development. He directed departmental officials to make the campaign activities more effective, creative, and people-oriented, so that the message of schemes and development works can reach as many people in the state as possible in an easy and effective manner.

The story of the changes brought about by the schemes will be shown through street plays.

During the campaign, the Culture Department will organize street plays at various key locations, including colleges, schools, public spaces, community centers, and panchayats. These performances will showcase the public welfare schemes of the central and state governments and the positive changes these schemes have brought to the lives of ordinary citizens in an emotional and engaging manner.

Street plays will focus on conveying the life-changing stories of the actual beneficiaries of the schemes to the general public, using local language, folk art, music, and effective dialogue. The aim is to make information about government schemes a medium of public communication and awareness, rather than limiting it to mere formal publicity. Students and youth will also be connected to the campaign through presentations in colleges and schools. At the same time, efforts will be made to ensure widespread participation of the general public by organizing presentations in public places.

The world will see the changing Chhattisgarh through the Tourism Department.

During the campaign, the Tourism Department will take the initiative to reach out to the people through national and state influencers about the development works done in Chhattisgarh, expansion of tourism facilities and the changing picture of the state. Through the influencers, the state's major tourist destinations, developed infrastructure, tourism facilities and development works will be effectively presented on the digital platform. Its objective is to spread the story of Chhattisgarh's development to a wider audience and also to bring the state's tourism potential to the fore at the national level. Given the wide reach of digital media, special emphasis will be placed on connecting the youth and citizens connected with social media to the campaign through this initiative.

The saga of service and development will become a medium of public participation.

Under the "Seva Sankalp Abhiyan," various activities will be organized across the state from September 17th to October 17th. The campaign aims to express gratitude for Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's 25 years of public service, leadership, and dedication, and to give public participation form to the collective resolve for a developed India in 2047.

Under the campaign, there will be many activities including 'Lamp of Blessings', 'India of the dreams of 25 crore children', 'Namo Seva Gatha', 'Celebration of the courtyard', 'Story of change', 'Seva Jyoti Yatra', 'Service is my contribution' and 'Seva Setu Abhiyan, Government at your doorstep'.
