Raipur, September 11, 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has said that it is the responsibility of the concerned officials to ensure quality and timely completion of development and construction projects related to public services in the state. Unnecessary delays and negligence in construction work will not be tolerated. Officials should regularly monitor ongoing projects and, wherever the pace of work is slow, immediately remove obstacles to expedite the work.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that delays in development projects directly impact ordinary citizens. Timeliness and quality must be ensured, especially in construction projects related to roads, bridges, schools, and other infrastructure. He gave clear instructions to officials that delays in public welfare projects will be taken seriously, and responsibility will be fixed for unnecessary delays.

In this context, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai took the matter seriously upon learning about the difficulties faced by school children and villagers in commuting due to the bridge under construction in the Khambhatha area of ​​Mainpur development block of Gariaband district. He discussed the situation with Gariaband Collector Shri Ranbir Sharma over the phone and instructed him to set a fixed time limit and complete the bridge construction in a quality manner. He also directed that the officials responsible for the delay be held accountable.

Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that the safety of children is a top priority. He urged the district administration to immediately ensure safe and accessible alternative transportation arrangements so that schoolchildren and residents of the area do not have to risk their travel under any circumstances until the bridge is completed.

Chief Minister Shri Sai directed that all necessary safety measures be immediately implemented at the bridge construction site. He called for securing loose and dangerously placed beams, repairing deep potholes and other hazardous areas, and ensuring all necessary safety measures, including barricading as needed.

Chief Minister Shri Sai directed all district collectors to regularly monitor construction projects and urged them to immediately resolve obstacles and expedite the work. Officials should work with utmost sensitivity and accountability and ensure that citizens receive the benefits of approved development projects within the stipulated timeframe. He clarified that negligence at any level in development projects related to public convenience and citizen safety will not be acceptable.
