Raipur, September 11, 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has said that it should be ensured that every eligible family receives its full ration on time through the public distribution system. In particular, families from the Special Backward Tribes, including the Pahari Korwa, and those living in remote areas, should not face any difficulties in obtaining rations. If negligence or irregularities are found in ration distribution, responsibility should be fixed and immediate action should be taken.

Chief Minister Shri Sai, while instructing officials to regularly monitor the public distribution system, said that it is the responsibility of the concerned officials to ensure that the food grains provided by the government reach the actual beneficiaries in the prescribed quantity and on time. Officials should monitor the availability and distribution of rations in settlements of particularly backward tribes with extra sensitivity.

Chief Minister Shri Sai took seriously the complaint of Pahadi Korwa families in Amanara village, within the Dharamjaigarh area of ​​Raigarh district, not receiving rations. He spoke with Raigarh Collector Shri Mayank Chaturvedi over the phone, inquiring about the entire matter, and directed that rations be immediately made available to the affected eligible families.

The Chief Minister asked the Collector to thoroughly investigate the distribution records related to the complaint and ensure that no eligible family is deprived of their entitled food grains. If any irregularities are discovered by comparing the distribution recorded on the e-POS machine with the food grains actually distributed to beneficiaries, action should be taken against those responsible as per the rules.

District Collector Mr. Mayank Chaturvedi informed Chief Minister Mr. Sai that an investigation was conducted as soon as the complaint was made. The investigation found the complaint to be true and the concerned ration shop has been suspended. Furthermore, to ensure that hill Korwa families and other beneficiaries do not face any disruption in receiving rations, they have been linked to the Chidori ration shop as an alternative arrangement.

Chief Minister Shri Sai directed that, along with taking necessary action in this matter, the district's public distribution system be continuously monitored to prevent a recurrence of such a situation. Timely and quality ration distribution should be ensured to every beneficiary.

The Chief Minister said that delivering the benefits of public welfare schemes to the last person in a smooth, transparent, and timely manner is a priority of our good governance government. Officials should work with sensitivity, promptness, and accountability to ensure that every eligible family receives their rights without any obstacles.
