'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' was launched in a grand manner in Balodabazar to mark the 25 years of service of the Prime Minister.

Vivekananda Sarovar becomes supernatural with 1.25 lakh lamps

Raipur, September 2026 / To commemorate the completion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years of tireless public service and dedication, the historic "Seva Sankalp Abhiyan" was launched in Balodabazar district on September 17th. As part of the "Aashirwad Ka Diya" program organized on this special occasion, approximately 11 lakh lamps were lit simultaneously across the district to express gratitude for public service. Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma, the chief guest at the main ceremony held at the Chowpatty in the district headquarters, formally inaugurated this massive campaign by lighting a lamp.
Prior to the main lamp lighting ceremony, the Revenue Minister and public representatives paid tribute to the martyr Veer Narayan Singh by garlanding his statue at the Chowk. Following this, a grand rally was held from the Chowk to the Chowpatty, accompanied by the sound of drums and overwhelming public enthusiasm, in which a large number of citizens participated. The Vivekananda Sarovar was the most prominent and captivating focal point of the event, where the golden glow of 1.25 lakh diyas and colorful lights adorning the trees gave the entire atmosphere a divine and ethereal feel. Residents flocked to witness the shadows of the diyas floating on the serene waters of the lake.
The cultural ambiance of the event was further enhanced when, amidst patriotic hymns by the orchestra team, Revenue Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma, in his familiar style, sang a captivating song, enthralling the audience. Addressing the gathering, Minister Verma stated that this "lamp of blessing" is not merely a symbol of light, but a sacred effort to awaken the spirit of service, social harmony, and commitment to nation-building in every citizen. He called for taking the country to the pinnacle of progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and realizing the dream of a developed India.
In this grand celebration of public participation, service and resolution, a large number of public representatives, administrative officers and citizens including District Panchayat President Akanksha Jaiswal, Municipal Council President Ashok Jain, Collector, SP, former MLA Pramod Sharma and District Panchayat CEO were present.
