Raipur. A timely and accurate health checkup can shape an infant's entire future. This is a living example of this success story: little Bhavyansh Sahu of Dhamtari. The Chirayu Yojana, operated under the National Child Health Program (RBSK), not only provided timely and appropriate treatment to this child suffering from congenital heart disease, but also brought a new ray of happiness to his family.

The story began in February 2026, when the Urban Chirayu team, Dhamtari, conducted a routine health check-up of children at Anganwadi Center No. 01 in Jalampur. During the check-up, the doctors' keen eyes immediately identified symptoms of congenital heart disease in Bhavyansh. Given the sensitivity of the case, the team wasted no time in referring the child to Sri Sathya Sai Hospital, Naya Raipur, for advanced treatment and encouraged the family with full guidance and support. After a thorough examination and consultation with specialists at the hospital, the decision was made to proceed with surgery. Bhavyansh was admitted to the hospital on August 31, 2026, where a successful heart surgery was performed on September 2 by a team of expert cardiac surgeons. The constant supervision and proper care of the doctors resulted in a rapid improvement in his health, and he was discharged on September 9 in a completely healthy state.
The primary objective of the National Child Health Program is to identify congenital malformations, serious illnesses, and nutritional deficiencies in children between birth and 18 years of age in a timely manner and provide them with free and optimal treatment. Thanks to the promptness of the Chirayu team and the coordination of expert doctors, Bhavyansh has today fully recovered and returned to his normal life. His bright smile is a living proof that this sensitive government scheme is proving to be a boon for the state's needy children.
