Awareness rally and cleanliness drive under Jal Jan Seva Sankalp, message given for clean environment along with conservation of water sources.

Raipur. Under the "Seva Sankalp Abhiyan," various activities are being organized in the district to raise public awareness about water conservation, cleanliness, and environmental protection. In this series, the "Jal Jan Seva Sankalp" program was organized at the Malhaniya reservoir in Devargaon village of the Gaurela development block. The program created awareness about water conservation, water source cleanliness, and environmental protection, while conveying the message of collective responsibility.

The Water Resources Department and the Public Health Engineering Department participated in the program. A water conservation awareness rally was held on this occasion. Through the rally, villagers and local citizens were made aware of the importance of water, the protection of water sources, and the judicious use of water. Participants conveyed the message of making water conservation a part of daily life and safeguarding water sources for the future.

Under the program 'Pledge taken for clean water reservoir, healthy environment',
a cleanliness drive was also launched in Malhaniya reservoir and its surrounding area. During the drive, while cleaning the reservoir premises, people were motivated not to throw garbage in water sources, maintain cleanliness around and conserve natural resources.
Underlining the importance of water conservation and cleanliness, the officers and employees said that water sources are an important basis for rural life, agriculture and environmental balance. For their conservation, along with administrative efforts, active participation of citizens is also necessary. They appealed to the citizens to keep the water sources clean and continuously cooperate in their conservation.

'Water conservation campaign will be strengthened with public participation'
The objective of 'Jal Jan Seva Sankalp' is to make common citizens responsible for water conservation and to promote cleanliness and safety of water sources through community participation. Through the programme, the message was given that water conservation is not the responsibility of only one department, but is the collective responsibility of every citizen. Departmental officers and employees appealed to the citizens to stop unnecessary wastage of water, use water judiciously, protect water sources from pollution and inspire people around them to conserve water.
