Raipur, September 25, 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today presented a major gift to the residents of the area by inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of 21 development works worth Rs 68 crore 96 lakh 96 thousand in Madku village of Mungeli district. On this occasion, he also made several important announcements related to health, education, tourism, electricity, sports and expansion of public facilities. Chief Minister Shri Sai also participated in the 'Angan Milan Seva, Blood Donation and Free Mega Health Camp' organized under the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan'.

Addressing the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai said, "Our government is committed to accelerating the pace of development and ensuring access to public services to the last person in society. Villages should have good roads, better health facilities, adequate nutrition for mothers and children, and the benefits of every government scheme should easily reach poor and needy families. With this vision in mind, our government is working with complete sensitivity and commitment."

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has placed service, good governance, and welfare of the poor at the center of his governance. Under his leadership, a new chapter of development and public welfare has been written in the country in recent years. In Chhattisgarh, our government is also working tirelessly to bring positive change to the lives of the last person in society, carrying forward this spirit of the Prime Minister.

He said that the "Seva Sankalp Abhiyan" is not just a campaign, but a means to further strengthen the resolve for public service through public participation. Through this, health, nutrition, sanitation, and public welfare schemes are being delivered to those in need, while also expanding the spirit of service and cooperation in society.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that the true meaning of good governance is that citizens do not have to wander around for even small tasks, their problems are resolved timely, and they easily access the benefits of government schemes. To this end, the government is simplifying administrative processes and making them transparent. Initiatives such as e-Office, Chief Minister Helpline 1076, and Atal Digital Seva Kendras are bringing governance closer to citizens.

The Chief Minister said that through the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, work is being done to transform the lives of the Scheduled Tribes. Through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the dream of a permanent home for poor families is being realized. Our clear effort is to ensure that no eligible family is deprived of the benefits of any scheme due to lack of information or procedures.

*A healthy mother and a well-nourished child are the foundation of a strong society*

Referring to the Anganwadi Milan Seva program, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Anganwadi centers are a vital cornerstone of children's nutrition and mothers' health. The early years of a child's life are most crucial for their overall development. Therefore, special attention to their nutrition, health, vaccinations, and early childhood care is essential.

He said that through Anganwadi Milan, families, Anganwadi workers, helpers, and health workers are coming together to discuss topics such as child nutrition, pregnant mother care, anemia, vaccination, and hygiene. This initiative will play a vital role in building healthy families and a healthy society.

The Chief Minister praised the Mitanins, Anganwadi workers, and assistants, saying that their contribution is crucial in providing health and nutrition services to remote villages. Due to their service and dedication, many government schemes are reaching every household.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the respect and economic empowerment of mothers and sisters are among the top priorities of our government. Through the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, assistance of one thousand rupees per month is directly reaching the accounts of approximately 68 lakh mothers and sisters in the state. This amount is providing financial support to women to meet their own and their families' needs.

Chief Minister Shri Sai urged the citizens present at the mega health camp to take maximum advantage of the health check-up facilities. He said that many diseases, including blood pressure, diabetes, and anemia, can be treated more effectively if identified early.

He especially urged mothers and sisters to take care of their own health while caring for their families. A healthy mother is the foundation of a healthy family, and only healthy families can build a healthy and strong Chhattisgarh.

Congratulating the blood donors, the Chief Minister said that blood donation is one of the greatest services to humanity. The blood we donate can give a new life to an unknown person in need. The youth and all those who volunteer for society deserve to be congratulated.

*We will connect Madku's heritage with development and tourism*

Chief Minister Shri Sai, citing the historical, religious, and archaeological significance of Madku Island, said that Chhattisgarh's rich heritage is our identity and our pride. It is our responsibility to preserve it and connect it with the new generation. Expanding tourism facilities on Madku Island will further strengthen its unique identity and create new employment and livelihood opportunities for the local people.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state government is moving forward by combining development and heritage. Important sites like Madku Island will be preserved and necessary facilities will be developed there so that more people in the state and country can become familiar with Chhattisgarh's rich heritage.

*Important announcements by the Chief Minister for health, education, tourism and public facilities*

Chief Minister Mr. Sai announced the opening of a trauma center at the Sargaon Community Health Center and the upgrading of the primary schools in Pipar Dol and Lamti to middle schools. He also announced Rs. 15 lakh each for the Tala Festival and Madku Island Festival, and Rs. 2.5 lakh for the installation of a life-size statue of Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi at Avanti Bai Lodhi College in Patharia.

The Chief Minister announced Rs 75 lakh for setting up an eco-tourism centre at Madku Island, construction of an indoor stadium at Bhatapara and construction of CC roads in 10 villages of Bhatapara area at a cost of Rs 10 lakh each.

He also announced setting up of 33 KV sub-stations at Madku and Tumadhetha, Rs 30 lakh for building construction at core settlement of Chandkhuri and construction of community hall at Madku.

21 development works worth Rs 68.96 crore inaugurated

In the programme, Chief Minister Shri Sai inaugurated the completed works at a cost of Rs 34 crore 77 lakh 19 thousand and laid the foundation stone of new works at a cost of Rs 34 crore 19 lakh 77 thousand.

The works inaugurated include eight works worth Rs 20 crore 07 lakh 61 thousand in the Lormi assembly constituency under the Public Works Department and one work worth Rs 10 crore 68 lakh 06 thousand in the Bilha assembly constituency. Works of the Rural Mechanical Services, Health and Family Welfare Department and Police Department were also inaugurated.

The foundation stone laid for the works includes one work worth Rs 8 crore 04 lakh 63 thousand in the Mungeli assembly constituency under the Chief Minister's Village Road and Development Scheme. Under the Public Works Department, the foundation stone was laid for three works worth Rs 20 crore 88 lakh 29 thousand in the Mungeli assembly constituency and two works worth Rs 4 crore 83 lakh 85 thousand in the Bilha assembly constituency. The foundation stone was also laid for a work worth Rs 43 lakh of the Health and Family Welfare Department in the Bilha area.

The Chief Minister said that these development works will expand roads, health infrastructure and other public facilities in Mungeli, Lormi and Bilha assembly constituencies and will give new impetus to the development of the area.

*Along with development, conservation of heritage is also a priority: Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu*

Presiding over the event, Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs, Shri Tokhan Sahu, paid tribute to the late social worker Shri Shantaram Saraf on his death anniversary. He also remembered Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his birth anniversary.

Union Minister of State Shri Sahu said that the late Shri Shantaram Saraf made a significant contribution to uncovering the historical and archaeological significance of Maduku Island. His efforts led to excavations here, revealing many important facts related to the region's ancient history. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country is working to preserve its heritage while pursuing development. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai's government is committed to the welfare of the poor, following Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay's path of Antyodaya.

*The ancient heritage of Madku Island will get a new identity: Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw*

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw said that Madku Island embodies Chhattisgarh's ancient heritage and has been an important religious center since the 11th century. The state government is committed to the preservation and development of Madku Island. Various central government schemes are also supporting its development. He congratulated all the volunteers honored at the event.

Former Assembly Speaker and Bilha MLA, Shri Dharamlal Kaushik, said that the late Shri Shantaram Saraf did remarkable work in developing Maduku Island and establishing its historical identity. It is our responsibility to carry forward his work.
