Families connected with Angan Milan Seva in Baiga-Adivasi dominated areas of Taregaon forest and marshy region*
*Poshan Thali, health check-up, invitation feast and information about schemes became the centre of attraction*

Kawardha. A unique confluence of service, nutrition and public participation was witnessed today in the forest and marshy area of ​​Taregaon, a Baiga-dominated area of ​​Bodla development block of Kabirdham district. Under the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan', 'Angan Milan Seva' was organised in all 135 Anganwadi centres of the area. Children, mothers, parents, women of self-help groups and local public representatives participated enthusiastically in this event which lasted from 10 am to 3 pm.

The objective of the "Angan Milan Seva" was to connect Anganwadi centers with the community and to disseminate information about the government's public welfare schemes, health, and nutrition services to every family. During the program, people were also connected to the citizens' pledge for a "Developed India 2047."

"My Nutritious Thali" spread the message of good nutrition. "
My Nutritious Thali," prepared from local food grains, fresh green vegetables, and fruits, was the center of attraction at Anganwadi centers. Through this, children and mothers were informed about the importance of a balanced and nutritious diet. Along with nutrition awareness activities, the centers also spread the message of eliminating malnutrition.

Services ranging from health checkups to vaccinations were provided.
With the support of the Health Department, women, pregnant mothers, and children were screened, and vaccinations were administered as needed. Sports and cultural activities were organized for children. A public-sponsored "Nyota Bhoj" was organized, where nutritious food, fruits, and sweets were distributed to children.

Mehndi, Rangoli, and Healthy Baby competitions added to the excitement.
Mehndi and Rangoli competitions were held for women and girls. Families were encouraged to focus on the health and nutrition of their children through the "Healthy Baby Competition." Well-nourished children and their mothers were honored and encouraged to practice better nutrition.

During the program, Anganwadi workers, assistants, and Mitanins who performed outstanding work
were honored by public representatives with certificates and coconuts. This encouraged the field staff of the Women and Child Development Department and recognized their role within the community.
