Teachers in Kohkameta, a remote area in Narayanpur district, have taken an exemplary initiative as part of the "Namo Seva - Untold Stories" program, run as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. Taking to the stage, the teachers created awareness among the public about the government's welfare schemes and facilities through street plays.
Through their impressive acting, simple dialogues, and creative presentations, the teachers conveyed information about the objectives, eligibility, and benefits of the schemes to the villagers. The play highlighted key schemes like the Swachh Bharat Mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, and Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. The positive message of the government's ongoing initiatives to make the district Naxal-free was also conveyed.
The teachers turned artists highlighted cleanliness, pure drinking water, pucca houses, agricultural development and rural empowerment and called for information about the schemes to reach every household so that no eligible person is deprived of their benefits.
This creative initiative not only provided a platform for the teachers' artistic talents, but also directly connected them to public service and social change. The lively presentation of the play deeply impacted the villagers and instilled in them a sense of public participation in the projects.
During the program, District Panchayat President, Vice President, Vice President of Janpad Panchayat Orchha, District Panchayat members, many Sarpanches of the area and a large number of villagers were present.
