Strict action against illegal mineral transportation, 6 vehicles loaded with sand and stones seized

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the state government is continuously taking action to effectively stop the illegal mining, transportation and storage of minerals. In this sequence, on the instructions of Collector Vijay Dayaram K., a continuous inspection campaign is being conducted by the Flying Squad team of the Mineral Department in the Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district. Today, the departmental team took action in various areas and seized a total of 6 tractor vehicles carrying sand and stone illegally.

According to information received from the Mineral Department, four tractor vehicles loaded with sand have been seized in the Basti-Bagra area and kept at the Kodgar outpost for security. Similarly, a tractor vehicle loaded with stones in the Sarabhra area and a tractor vehicle loaded with sand in the Andi area have been seized and kept at the Amarpur Police Line for security.

The department is taking legal action against all vehicle owners under the provisions of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act. After the prescribed fines or settlement amounts are deposited in the mineral fund, action will be taken to release the vehicles as per the rules.

Collector Vijay Dayaram K. has directed the Mineral Department to maintain constant vigilance against illegal mining activities in the district and take strict action as per the regulations. He has instructed departmental staff to conduct regular field inspections and ensure prompt action in cases of illegal excavation, transportation, and storage.

The Collector has also taken the complaints received through the CM Helpline seriously and has given instructions to ensure their quality investigation and timely resolution
