Raipur, October 2026/ The Chief Minister's Helpline 1076 is proving to be an effective medium for conveying the problems of ordinary citizens to the government and administration and for their prompt resolution. Complaints registered through the helpline are being forwarded to the concerned department and action is being taken to resolve them. The resolution of the drinking water problem in Tapkara village, under the Farsabahar development block of Jashpur district, is an example of this.
On August 26, 2026, Mr. Om Prakash, a resident of Tapkara village, filed a complaint with the Chief Minister's Helpline 1076 regarding the disruption in the village's drinking water supply. He stated in the complaint that the village had been facing a water crisis for approximately 15 days. Due to a malfunction in the motor and pipeline, the water supply had been disrupted, resulting in drinking water shortages for approximately 200 families in the village.
Following the complaint, the matter was brought to the attention of the relevant department and local authorities. Acting on the complaint, the Gram Panchayat installed a new motor under the Retro Water Supply Scheme in Tapkara village. After the installation, the water supply was restored, providing relief to approximately 200 families who had been facing a long-standing drinking water problem.
After the complaint was resolved, the complainant, Mr. Om Prakash, was contacted to confirm his satisfaction with the solution. This system not only speeds up the process of resolving citizens' problems, but also ensures accountability by obtaining feedback from the complainant after the resolution.
Chief Minister Helpline-1076 is becoming a medium for direct communication between ordinary citizens and the government and administration. Citizens can register their problems through a phone call, after which the complaint is forwarded to the relevant departmental officials and the resolution process is initiated. With the restoration of drinking water supply in Tapkara, this system has proven useful in resolving citizen problems.
