Chief Minister Nagarotthan Yojana: Road and drain works including sports and shopping complexes will be done
38.23 crore sanctioned on the initiative of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw
Raipur, October 2026. On the initiative of Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Arun Sao, the Bilaspur Municipal Corporation has received approval for ₹38.23 crore (382.2 million rupees) for various works under the Chief Minister's Urban Development Scheme. The state government issued administrative approval orders from the Ministry today.
Under the Chief Minister Nagarotthan Yojana, a sports complex and a commercial complex will be built near Sirgitti Bannak Chowk in Bilaspur at a cost of Rs 12 crore 21 lakh 76 thousand. Under the scheme, in Zone No. 2, a drain will be constructed from Narmada Cold Drink to Gokne Nala at a cost of Rs 3 crore 15 lakh and road and drain works will be done in Khamtarai of Zone No. 7 at a cost of Rs 4 crore 58 lakh 39 thousand. In Zone No. 8, a road and a commercial complex will also be built near Indira Vihar at a cost of Rs 3 crore 90 lakh.
In Zone No. 7 of Bilaspur Municipal Corporation, road, drainage, and electrification work will be carried out from Bhakta Mata Karma Chowk near Bahtarai Chowk to Mopka Bypass at a cost of ₹9.3844 million. A shopping complex will be built in Zone No. 7 at a cost of ₹4.9925 million.
The construction of these infrastructures under the Chief Minister's Urban Development Scheme will provide a better platform for sports activities in the city. It will also alleviate traffic and drainage problems. The construction of new commercial complexes will accelerate business activity and increase the corporation's revenue.
