Amit Shah to attend Rajyotsav, theme to be 'Maoist-free Chhattisgarh'

Raipur. This year's State Festival, marking Chhattisgarh's foundation day, will be held under the theme of "Beautiful, Sughra, and Maoist-free Chhattisgarh." At the invitation of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will attend the ceremony as the chief guest. The event will prominently showcase the state's cultural heritage, folk art, and efforts towards liberation from Maoism.

Culture and Tourism Minister Rajesh Agrawal shared the preparations and outline for the State Festival. He stated that the festival aims to showcase Chhattisgarh's rich folk culture and a new identity of development. Extensive arrangements are being made for the convenience, security, and smooth transportation of the public at the venue.

Local artists will get a bigger platform

Local artists and folk dancers from Chhattisgarh will be prioritized in the cultural programs of the State Festival. The government's aim is to provide the state's grassroots talent with the opportunity to showcase their art on a large stage. In addition, in response to demand from youth and the general public, three renowned foreign artists from across the country will also be invited. This will provide a fusion of local folk art and national-level entertainment.
