Misbehavior with the police in the pub was heavy! Action taken on IAS

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government has taken strict action against Vikas Marmat, project director of the Kuppam Area Development Authority (KADA), in connection with a brawl at a pub in Bengaluru and the alleged misbehavior and attempted assault of police officers. He has been transferred.

The Cubbon Park police have registered a case against 2019-batch IAS officer Vikas and three of his associates (real estate businessman Abhay Uday Singh, Nitish, who runs a competitive exam coaching institute in Bihar, and bouncer Roshan) at an upscale bar and restaurant on Residency Road in Bengaluru on October 10th at around 1:30 am. They are accused of misbehaving with and attempting to assault a police team, including Police Inspector Arun Salunke.

Vikas Marmat was made the main accused

The IAS officer was named the main accused in the case, while the others were listed as co-accused. Police said Marmat and the others apologized for their behavior the next morning.

What is the incident?

The incident occurred when a team from the Central Crime Branch arrived in Cavore around 1:30 a.m. to investigate reports of underage drinking and partying at liquor stores. The team was led by Inspector Arun Salunke. During the investigation, a police officer asked some young women for documents to prove their age. This reportedly angered Marmat and Singh, who became rude to the police.
