Raipur, November 6, 2026: The Chhattisgarh government has intensified preparations to provide more support to farmers in the agricultural sector. A high-level review meeting regarding the effective implementation of the Krishak Unnati Yojana Kharif-2026 was held today at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan, chaired by Chief Secretary Vikasshiil. The meeting discussed in detail the process for providing input assistance (grants) to farmers under the scheme, eligibility guidelines, and database integration.
Database integration and digitalization
In the meeting, Chief Secretary Mr. Vikassheel directed officials that the implementation of the scheme should be completely transparent, simple, and error-free. He emphasized the need to integrate the various portals of the Agriculture Department and the paddy procurement database, eliminating the need to repeatedly request documents or information from farmers. Promoting digital governance, he directed that information on farmers' total land and crop acreage be better utilized by linking digital crop survey, farmer ID, farm ID, and Girdawari data.
The Chief Secretary clarified that farmers should be given easy access to verify their unique Farm ID and apply for grants under the scheme. For smooth operation, registration with AgriStack will be mandatory to avail of the scheme's benefits. Digital Crop Surveys require that paddy crops be recorded on the land in question. The paddy procurement process requires at least one successful purchase transaction, for which information from the Food Department's Paddy Procurement Portal will be used.
Emphasis on verification and other crop incentives
To protect farmers' interests and ensure genuine eligibility, instructions have been given to verify the subsidized area when issuing tokens during paddy procurement. In particular, physical verification has been mandated for farmers who did not sell paddy last year. Additionally, the meeting also directed the dissemination of clear information regarding the procurement system for pulses, oilseeds, and millets (kodo-kutki-ragi) and the incentives available to farmers producing these crops. The Chief Secretary emphasized the need to widely disseminate the scheme's terms and application process in rural areas so that no farmer faces any inconvenience.
In this meeting, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Mr. Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary of Finance and Public Relations Department, Dr. Rohit Yadav, Secretary of Food Department, Ms. Reena Baba Saheb Kangale, Secretary of Agriculture Department, Mr. Siddharth Komal Pardeshi, Secretary of Cooperative Department, Dr. C.R.
